No offense, but this is one of the worst takes I have ever heard. McCloud led the team to 35 points and over 350 yards before getting injured. McCloud would have probably had 300 yards of total offense, if he had played 2nd half. His passing was on target. Mainly because he was healthier. Dude had a separated shoulder and bum wrist and you want to judge him vs. his injured performance vs. Navy. A really good Navy by the way. Evans has completed a grand total of one pass for 2 yards and you think he's the answer. Do you know more than the coaches. Because they have seen all the QB's in every practice and Evans was moved to WR. What does that tell you. Yes, he has wheels, but can he complete a meaningful pass? You and I have no idea. If anything, I could see people arguing for Rygol. He has actually looked sharp throwing the ball. You can't wildcat your way to wins, and right now Evans is the wildcat guy. He's a good change of pace that we all would like to see more of, but in no way is he "10x better at qb than McCloud", by completing 1 pass. McCloud has thrown for 10 TD's by the way.
One of the worst takes I have ever seen posted on this board.
Well reread the post. I said McCloud is not the future and I said I would like to see more of the other 2. Strong needs to win now and might not make it if he is going to ride McCloud's back.
This team does not have a dominant D that can hold teams to low scores every game. Erratic play from the qb will hurt more than help. The Navy game is a great example. If he was that hurt he should not have been in the game.
-
McCloud does not have the "it" factor. Everyone gets butt hurt when someone talks about talent or lack thereof.
It's always the coaches fault. This team is lazy in general, but showed some flashes. Opening kickoff, instead of tackling the guy at the 5, Hampton goes for a hapless strip.
I hope the Rygol and Evan's get more snaps. We have to find a qb with more consistency.

Come on, Corey, do you even watch the games or any post game? It wasn't a "personnel decision", was concussion protocol ...
I am speaking in general this year.

Agree 100% - McCloud completed 75% of his passes, with 2 TDs and 0 ints
He either led or was involved in 4 scoring drives, including a 10 play, 75 yard drive to open the game
McCloud’s 17 yard scramble on 2nd and 20 was the key to that opening drive. Had we gone three and out on the first possession or failed to score, the game outcome may have been completely different
Did you not see the Navy game? Frankly, the majority of his games this year. I just don't think he is championship quality.
-
I wish we exercised these options earlier in the year. The Navy game was horrible and Strong wet the bed by leaving McCloud in.

You guys act like McCloud **** the bed yesterday. He played pretty **** good. Evans was moved to WR because he can’t throw.
McCloud will never be a serviceable qb that can win championships. Might be a great kid...but his ceiling is low as a qb
Evans can't throw worse than McCloud. McCloud also makes dumb decisions while throwing ie...triple coverage...3rd and 15...throw a 2 yard out.
-
McCloud is still not the future. I'm not sure what the staff was thinking by moving Evan's to receiver. However, the dude has some serious wheels and looks 10x better at qb than McCloud.
In the second half he should have gotten more touches to see what he could do. I go back to this over and over again, Personnel decisions costs this team as much as anything.
-
Strong has to win now!!! We don't have the talent to wait 2 or 3 more years. Next year, we need a qb that can play now. Rygol might show something. McCloud will get you fired...along with Nick Roberts.
Just look at our lazy receivers. We have very pedestrian type players in both sides of the ball.
The garbage qb play is killing both sides of the ball.

He is not at at the coaches show tonight and has the DC filling in for him. So he must have been fired right??????
Sorry, I just went full Corey Lea on this post.Lol.. classic!

I know people like to bash me for suggesting the portal should be used to patch positions, but Strong admits it on the press conference. If he gets another year, he needs at least 10 players from P5 to fill the following positions, while he develops younger players.
1. QB
2. RB
3. LB
4. Safety
5. OL
6. DL
Just think, some of you suggested that Sawtelle was better than Macon. LOL
Grades for portal transfers:
Macon B+
Studstill B
Sails B
Slade B
Jones Incomplete
Rygol...need to see more of but seems to be a solid backup that probably better than current starter.
Thaxton Incomplete

This thread is a perfect example of how today's media works out in the real world and how ****** up it is. Deliberately incomplete, misleading info is put out there and you've got a page of people piling on CCS for something that's just not true at this point. Isn't there enough ammo out there without making up ****?
Really? Did he not say if Jordan was healthy he would start? Hurt or Healthy he shouldn't not start. Should not even be an option. You have to bounce back and get this team to .500 and Jordan is not the guy and starting him will kill what little morale that is left on this team. He even mentioned the dancing by Cronk, even though he did not call his name. We have a personnel problem in regards to who should be on the field. It weighs as much as the sub talent in certain positions that continues to drive this clown show. Sands should be your feature with relief from Cronk. Roberts should be handing out gatorade and should never see the field. Norman and Atterbury should be relief to Hopple and someone else. Fixing these things will give you a better chance to win and is within Strong's control.
Macon should only leave the field on a stretcher.

This is the thing that's going to sideline his career? If I were making a list of things that would make an AD hesitate to hire CCS, starting McCloud this weekend is about 37th.
Actually number 1 because his career here weighs in the balance.

Actually if you knew anything about Strong you would know that this is par for the course. Whether hurt or not, McCloud should be benched. To even consider starting him is treasonous.

No he did not say it that directly...only if McCloud is ready...which I bet he is not.
Ready or not, that garbage we are witnessing at the position needs a reset.
-
The most idiotic move of his baffling career.
-
This will be a grave mistake to Strong's career.
-
Roberts...
Watching him is painful!!!
Literally playing 11 on 10.
Dang team is lazy and clueless. Ol is just garbage...
Chuck your time has expired!!

McCloud is not the present or the future. This stubborn staff needs to be fired. This is a complete clown show!!!
-
Why keep this dude in?
-
And CCS keeps playing the worst players...
-
Dang Sails was into the endzone and Reaves makes a bonehead play. Cannot bring MCloud back in.
-
The biggest problem with the D is that they don't wrap up. Runner gets 3 more after contact.
