CCS won 2 conference championships because Miami got caught cheating and clint hurtt left there with the miami 5 when the hammer was going to come down. UofL was a dirty enough athletic department to take them in.

By working for our defense you mean ranked 64th in scoring defense then yeah i guess so....fact is they look terrible against any decent offense. I bet you sing a different tune after we play the #5 and #9 offenses in the country.

the guy is a terrible recruiter and needs to rely on portal to get any talent what so ever. Taggart signed 3 straight #1 recruiting classes all within a tank of gas from campus.

Well I guess you can just go to the internet and see just how many players are in nfl that he recruited as a head coach. Your ignorance is bliss!!!

Tags 3 straight #1 classes won how many conference championships? That's what I thought!!!

Remember Shane Beuchel...the guy that lit us up from SMU? That's CCS guy.

  2. Fact!!! CCS has won 2 conference championships and USF has 0. Obviously he has the pedigree.

It's a bitter pill to swallow, but this program is not historic and has the budget of a D3 school.

People complain about recruiting, but the budget allows for the coaches to take bag lunches on recruiting trips.

Texas paid more than half of the Salary for the first 2 years. So he needs at least one more year to raid the portal to get some p5 talent until the kids can develop. It worked on defense.

Kids aren't getting better under CCS and his staff. A kid like Norman is the perfect example. Before last season he was getting some NFL chatter and he's nose dived. Atterbury at one point was an above average lineman, now he's pretty much a detriment. St Felix showed some real promise early he's now regressed to basically a non factor. None of of our DT's are any better than when they played as freshmen and there has not been a physical transformation to where they pass the eye test. I could go on but do I really need to? CCS isn't molding these kids into good football players and on top of that he keeps recruiting kids he has to kick out or transfer their out because they can't cut it or don't fit in the program. It's time for him to go but that buy out might prevent that...

Norman was never a prospect...just like you guys were saying Hampton was an nfl guy.

The talent before he got here was sparse on the depth chart.

Well at least this time you didn't insult people by saying the ppl in the stands probably had free tickets....

Purely on a W-L record I agree that expectations should be managed a bit more.  We shouldn't be too upset about a coach with 2 winning seasons having a losing season after big playmakers left and there was a rebuild going on.  Especially now with a young qb, new OC, etc etc....there are lots of things that require patience.

HOWEVER, it is not about just wins and losses.  "The process" has been awful.  Quarterbacks have been completely misused these past two years.  He chose a pro QB to focus on with a team built for the spread.  When that QB went down last year, he never chose a true backup and instead alternated between two guys.  That pissed them both off to the point of leaving, and that has burned us this year because we have no depth.  This year he brings in an OC who still wants to stick with the pro style QB even though the same problems that got the QB hurt last year are still present.

His time management sucks, his killer instinct sucks (kneeldowns at the 40 yd line to end a half), his excuses (blaming uniforms) suck, etc etc.

We have seen enough.  He very well could have success given time, but most of us feel it would be in spite of these handicaps he places on the team.  For those who see it that way, there is no reason to want him here anymore.

So he went 11-2 with good playmakers. He now just has to blow up the portal to get an offense.

Confidence in Vincent Davis to replace Studstill. The LB room is much deeper now. Playing much better.

My god man, do you even attempt to proof read what you write. Your writings are the most bipolar on this board. You are for Strong one minute and against the next.

Just a little FYI for ya, these are all Strongs guys. The same ones with brick hands and broken arms are all Strongs recruits. So there is no reason to state he's still addressing the previous staffs gaffs unless you're talking about Strongs previous staff, then you may be right.

P.S. I do think Bell can make things work. Bell needs his guys, not

Atterbury, Norman, Clearveaux, Phillips... I'm pretty sure were not Strong's guys.

Upon further review. I have to agree with you for once. I've been keeping tabs on both QBs and Rodemaker is our future. I still like Jordan Smith, but Rodemker has been balling this year. Either way, I dont want to lose this recruiting class and if CCS/KB gets fired than I see us losing Rodemaker b/c KB is his only reason for giving us a chance.

Get him some help on the OL, RB ( although Joiner with some weight will be good) and WR next year....I think we will have something. Right now, we don't have anything up front or out wide...well actually nobody to throw it to, other that Wilcox. I think next year will be special and we will be TEXAS!

The point being made is, this is not a powerhouse school that was chopped full of talent.  Herman won with Strong's guys coming of age. Now that his players are in, well he isn't in the top 25 with the richest football budget in college football. Year four is the magic number when you have to build with your own players. CCS did well with Flowers, just like Taggart. The the lack of talent of the program happened and now he is trying to build legit talent. Defense is about there and the offense needs a 10 player portal infusion, just like the D got last year. It was good to see the recruits CCS brought in get some quality time yesterday without any major drop on D. Bell will bring in a young QB and we will get some help from all positions on O from the portal and you will forget this mess that we are having to endure. McCloud is not a dang qb. Period!!!

You know Florida has as much blue chip football talent as roughly the bottom 34 states and the district of columbia combined, right? Where exactly do you think we should go beyond Georgia to find this talent because where ever it is you think that place is they are filling their rosters with the Florida left behinds you want to jump over in order to pick up Idaho talent.

    image.png.94bb87b4b1e66b9cb4c923b4e9e37cfc.png

That's the point. All the good talent goes to p5 schools and there is nothing left for G5 as a whole. This fan base wants to be p5 but working with D3 money.

These kids want to be big time and experience all the stuff they see on social media at p5 schools. Yes you can get a gem every now and then, but the best route is to get the players coming back from p5 that just want to play. Just look at our D. No real complaint on the portal guys.

The young guys that we recruited need time to develop and that's why they are not at bigger football schools.

  9. They had money, facilities and players from all over the south east.

Now it's your turn to figure out the difference here.

    1. The good recruits from the bay go to better p5 schools to go have the college experience in style.

    2. The raked over talent ...some gems in the, come here.

    3. Now that you have a way to sell playing time to p5 talent, you must use it.

    4. The fanbase couldn't pull enough resources in 24 years to build an ipf and they act like they are at Clemson and have some say in what the AD does. Most of the fans that show up have free tix.

    5. Maybe usf is the vandy and duke of fla.

    6. Reality is that this program is one portal makeover away on offense to win the conference. The talent is really that bad!!

I’ve had 6 season tickets for 15 years now and go to multiple away games. The tickets I have  definitely aren’t free. The only free tickets I’ve ever gotten were when people on here couldn’t go and I used those tickets to bring first timers to the games. Not sure why you had to be a jackass.

For the same reason you are trying to.get cheerleaders to join your boycott.

  11. Lots of new faces on Defense flying around last night. It was good to see Mims and Davis flying around. I think I saw Lainge in there a play or two. The D played solid and kept us in the game.

The offense stunk it up!!!! The ol stinks and McCloud will transfer after next year of backing up transfer or true freshmen.

Portal raid 2 will be on the O side of the ball this year. Bell's offense just need some talent. He literally needs 10 guys from Juco and the portal.

I will expect Charlie to run off 5 or 6 more in.the offseason to get some p5 players on offense. We need some impact guys on the line... rb depth and definitely a qb and receiver. Maybe that's why he is playing McCloud...to show potential transfers that they could come here to play.

The kid from Tennessee that is sitting will help. I like Weaver and there is an incoming freshman that probably will play day 1.

If Charlie is back next year I might not renew our tickets. My family and I have a limited budget for entertainment...and we definitely aren’t getting our moneys worth with this team.

I'm sure he will be fired because your free tix will not be renewed... lol

  13. He left a crap roster with a few upperclassmen that were good. Charlie really should have loaded up in the portal after he cleaned house.

We have no qb and our rb room is thin next year. I would literally take at least 5 offers for next year back and go get 12 players from juco or portal.

The depth stinks and a few good players on D. Played a clean game til the end.  Saban couldn't win with this talent on offense.

Not sure why Roberts is playing over Davis or Mccloud over Bobby Boucheaux.

Why is Phillips on the field? Bell needs to stand up and lobby for Rygol.
