With 2 more conference championships as a head coach than this program has in it's history. Just let that sink in for a minute. 

I think that he delivers 10 wins next year. There are a lot of new faces flying around on the d. I think he will hit to portal hard one more time, just like SMU and get some talent that can contribute immediately. This year's team is starting to show flashes. Have you know we don't have near as many penalties over the last couple of games? I was glad to see Hopple play RT, a move that should have happened long ago. If there is someone who could show Billy A. out the door would be helpful. I'm not blaming the kicker, he just had a very bad day, but I do think I would find a replacement that is reliable.  

I'm truly hoping Barnett applies for a medical red shirt. I think he qualifies for one and it would give us a chance to get Rodemaker a chance  to develop. Barnett can be good if he had some help. McDoom has turned it up a notch...Weaver will get bigger and stronger. We have a guy from Tn that is sitting out that is electric. There is also a true freshmen coming in. That room will get better in a hurry.

So do you think CO or BK could have worked the offense like Flowers? I'll answer that for you ...and that would be a negative. It's apparent you don't know a lot about competing at a higher level. So I'll give you this scenario. Texas fired Strong prematurely, Herman beat Georgia with Strong's recruits and got an extension. Now they are 6-4 with Herman's top 5 classes. That's national and not conference. So your argument is flawed. Louisville had 15 players drafted after Strong left that were recruited by Strong and what did Petrino do once Strong's players left? Exactly!!! Keep in mind, both of those programs have money!!

Nebraska is or was  a storied program with resources. How does this program think it has the right to prematurely remove a coach that has won 2 conference championships in his 9 year career? People this place was not stocked with any talent in the most important position on the field behind QF. The guy that came in got hurt and the young guy is just not ready. If you want to like the blue bloods then do as the blue bloods do!!! Be patient and let the guy do what he is paid to do.

The defense appears to be better. The offense is worse than last year. Special teams, incredibly, remains the same if not worse than it has in the three years. 

The reality is this staff is just coming off a record collapse last year, an 8 game losing streak, facing a probable 5 game losing (4 to end the year plus starting next year), attendance and interest is close to all time lows. 

Personnel wise, you lose both productive backs, best TE in school history, 2 OL, there is not one proven playmaker on offense. 

Hoping that we rebuild our team through the portal is hope not reality. 

More than likely Strong is back next year, but I don’t see much improvement on the horizon next year. 

I'll go on the record for 10-3 next year. I think losing The right side of the line will be a blessing. Hopple played well last night overall.

Just like we used the portal to get better on defense...same raid for the offense and we will have a contender. Go find a lineman or two, 2 rbs and a qb if Barnett doesn't go for a medical redshirt. 

Rodemaker is the future and Barnett can be successful with some protection and a run game. I think we are seeing an emergence of McDoom ...we have another guy from Tn sitting out that will be spectacular along with a true FRESHMEN. 

We also, need to go get a kicker.

The rule is he could not have played in more than three games and must be in the first half of the season. 

I think it would be awesome to give him a shot under better circumstances. Gives us a chance to develop Rodemaker and Smith.

This could be a real probability...then factor in Rodemaker and Smith as backups. Even McCloud as a backup to build on the improvements we are starting to see and then you have the best path to a conference championship. I think Hopple played well at Rt last night. Plug in a serviceable right guard and now we can resemble a true contender.

Yeah he us the reason Texas has lost 4 games this year. You guys are utterly stupid. This program was gutted and you are seeing the improvements over the last few weeks. The starting qb is out for the year and McCloud is not a college qb. The team is really a few portal pieces away from 10-3 next year.

So Tag left a full cupboard?  CCS has had 2 full classes. Ideally you want to play mostly upperclassmen in the trenches. The team had nothing behind Flowers in the most important position on the field. Unfortunately Barnett got hurt this year. The team did enough to win.

He is getting better. To be honest there are a lot of new faces playing on d and are flying around. I would like them to wrap up more. Roberts continues to take bad angles and miss tackles.

That would be year four under CCS and he would need to improve drastically by next season.  That is unlikely, but "possible". He looked better last night, but not great. One touchdown by a QB in a college game is not a success. The trend shows using trending down not up. I just don't see how any real fans buy into this coach and think he is doing good. We are getting worse for three straight seasons. Unless we win the next two straight I see no evidence that we will improve. We are losing recruits and losing on the scoreboard. What are you seeing that we are improving to a championship team? 

 

If 11-2 is worse...well all I needed to see.

This team is one portal raid away and probably a freshman qb name Rodemaker from being a contender.

The like played well enough. The D played well. 

Just need a legit qb and a few playmakers away. Actually the team is growing up. Most of you have no idea about the state of the program and want to blame the coaches, but when the team is knee capped by qb and a kicker that shouldn't be on the roster...then we are really close. Doesn't usf have a soccer team that we can get a kicker from?
