  1. After reading some of these comments on this thread, I absolutely have no words at the level of ignorance.

    1. You blame the Strength Coach for the injury to a player who has been banged up his whole career.

    2. In case you are new to football in America, football is a physical game and no resemblance of play station championships.

    3. Joiner Jr. will make you forget Cronk "down on first contact."

    4. Have the majority of this fanbase ever played football?

    5. Did I mention some of you should follow the cheerleaders. Much safer than you grasp of contact sports. Then there is soccer too

Cali and Corey are very similar, overly optimistic takes and impatient aggression surfaces from time to time as well.  However I agree Corey will defend his position and brings more substance than Cali who’s only take was “you are stupid and I know people who know things”.

For that outrage...I'm calling for upset against Memphis!!!! Lol

so in your expert opinion(you were a baseball player after all) before the season started you didn't see any of the issues that you now continually rant about?

Wouldn't most of them have been obvious with our collapse last year? BTW the answer isn't always that the backups are the solution

Our o-line wasn't exactly stellar. They were ranked #114 last year for sacks given up.

Our passer rating as a team last year ranked #92. this year #96. Jordan McCloud is the 75th rated passer this year

I get the QB but You speak in certainties like you know what you are talking about yet you weren't able to recognize any of these deficiencies before the season? suddenly we need to raid the portal for how many new starters?

We now average less than 20 points per game. our defense seems to have gotten better (oh wait we haven't played 2 top 10 offenses yet) yet we will likely still finish in the bottom half of all defenses in the country.

You are like cali bull and gatorbull. you blow sunshine and act as if you know what's going on but in reality you don't have a clue.

No...I have always said that we lacked depth. On defense I will attribute the woeful offense gassing a thin D. In addition, I think not playing Davis or Burnett at safety hurt.

The woeful offense helped gas an already thin D.

Frost took a dumpster fire UCF to an undefeated national championship. Comparing Charlie to Frost is ludicrous, but I guess Frost's current record fits the agenda of CCS supporters. Charlie took our team in the opposite direction Frost took UCF.

I guess you think that all players recruited by taggart had star potential? The D numbers when taggart left was a preview of what was to come...QF just outscored teams. So Strong did the same thing and now he brought in some legit defenders and now will raid the portal to get some offense. Don't take your mind off CO and BK...they were what was left by Taggart. Complete garbage there, along the line and defense. Just let that sink in.

again what were your thoughts heading into the season? did you predict big things for this team?

yes I did. However, when Barnett went down, we didn't stand a chance.

I also think that CCS has been horrible with personnel. For example, I think Davis and Burnett should be FS or have more playing time. I can't express to you enough how much Roberts hurts the D. He is getting better, but still not serviceable. I think the staff is doing a better job of getting more players on the field now. Although 7 games too late. Green and Waller upfront...Mims is getting more play and is solid. I'm glad to see Grier and Boyles playing much better.

On offense, Norman and Atterbury should be backups. Hopple played solid at RT and should have been there from day 1. Ultimately, Barnett going down and McCloud's inability to be serviceable most of the time really hurt. As I see it, we need a kicker, 2 OL, 2 rbs for depth, 2 dbs and maybe one receiver or TE. Mathis has played well.   It will come together!

We are on opposite ends of Strong developing and bringing in talent . I still respect your enthusiasm and post.

Do you not see flashes in Joiner, Weaver, Cecil, Bellamy, Evan's and transfers Barnett, Macon, Studstill, Sails and Slade?  Watch out for Thaxton and William's next year.

Miller was a good find too. Jennings and Harris. It's ok to disagree, but we are truly a few pieces away and a portal raid away from fixing the lack of talent and depth.

Thank you for breaking the news to us before it was posted online. You have some good insights at time, and sometimes your post are borderline delusional like being a highly explosive offense this year and winning 10 games next year.  You cheer for the bulls with optimism and false hopes that I can respect. What does playing d1 baseball, professional baseball, and being a scout have do with football exactly? Does it help you raid the portal or just make crazy predictions? Either way, keep the post coming because we need some entertainment because the offense is not providing it.

Well it gives you an insight or familiarity with the NCAA rules and definitely helps in evaluating talent. As delusional as most people seem when thinking that the cupboard was full here, they don't have an understanding on how bad the talent level across the board really was on Strong's arrival. Don't get me wrong, Flowers, McCants etc were good players, but mostly everything else was not very good and definitely didn't get any playing time to develop. Now we had a chance to get som e legit talent here via portal and the Strong recruits are growing up and playing. Next year will be entirely different. If we can keep Macon, get Barnett back and groom Rodemaker then you will be set for long term success. I don't know what the hell took for Hopple to play right tackle, but he did good. Atterbury and Norman are awful and not even serviceable. Strong needs to go find 2 more juco or portal lineman and 2 bruiser type running backs like Sands. McDoom's light is coming on. We have Williams from UT sitting out and we have a true freshmen coming in at wr that will be dynamic. There isn't alot to fix....just a few more good players. The backers are growing before your eyes. I would like to get 2 more db's from the portal or at least one. Roberts will hurt you more than he will help you. He is playing better but there was no where to go but up. I am not convinced he is better that Smoke Davis.

NCAA usually doesn’t grant a 6th year to a player who took a non injury redshirt year. 6 years are usually for players who had multiple injury years.

The point is that they do and he is petitioning for a sixth. If he gets it...then great. I know it sucks to be wrong, but you are arguing with a former d1 and professional baseball player and scout. Most of the time I just listen to some of the garbage spewed on here...others I decide to interject an opinion. Not always popular, but I have my reasons from experience. I also put a question mark behind it. Barnett could be very good in this system if we raid the portal on the O side.

So post what you read to substantiate your position. Cheerleader...

"Medical redshirts are approved for players who meet strict criteria: They must have suffered the season-ending injury during the first half of the season, and they could not have played in more than three games before sustaining the injury."

"Macon signed with OSU as a part of the 2017 recruiting class to high acclaim, having earned All-American honors at the junior college level out of Arizona Western. However as a junior last season, Macon did not play as he acclimated to the Division I level."

So Macon redshirted last year leaving him with 2 years of eligibility to play. So this is his third year of playing and therefore he has one more year.

    Per this board- https://247sports.com/college/south-florida/Board/59416/Contents/Patrick-Macon-130777609/

Macon is transferring to USF as a graduate transfer. He is a 6'3" 244 pound linebacker from Oklahoma state. He will have 2 seasons of eligibility left. He was injured at OSU but was the national defensive player of the year at Arizona Western. Definitely worth a flyer.

My two cents. Charlie inherited a ranked team (11-2 the year before), under performed in year one, and failed to build on the momentum of Willie Taggart. That 2017 team was the strongest team we've had in our history with respect to our schedule. Strong is now knee deep in his own **** due to poor recruiting, some bad luck and his own lack of tolerance with the guys that were already in the program.

Scott Frost inherited a terrible 4-8 team that lost six of their last seven and beat no one of stature in 2017. He then lost his first six games while dealing with a bunch of malcontents in 2018. The scraped out a couple of wins to close out the year, however they are far from a finished product. If these two coaches are on an escalator, Frost is slowly going up while Strong is coming down.

I'm convinced you are not very smart.
