At this point you can only really hope stammer stays healthy. Those legs are compromised.

Our pastures haven't been green for years. This team has changed defensive and offensive coordinators EVERY year for the past 4-5 years. That is unstable as hell.  Next year is a rebuilding year in which CJS will play the players HE brought in, so some of these players have no choice.

I didn't say it great here, just that it might not be better elsewhere we aren't the worst place in america, far from it.

Sometimes you gotta just have faith in yourself. Most of our transfers have had a lot of playing time which gives them advantages over the many transfers that never saw the field.

and sometimes you gotta have areal conversation with yourself and where you stand. 120+ transfers signed. I'm sure most will find somewhere to play, not sure many find the greener pastures they are hoping for and some might figure out that have a spot is better than nothing.

Well b/c of covid and the crapload of seniors on other college teams taking advantage of the extra year, it's hard on ALL transfers. No need to krap on this group. It's more of circumstance than anything else. Hell look at us...all of the deadweight at DT that refuse to leave or transfers (Pickney) is holding us back from bringing better DTs to this team. Im good with Thad Magnum and Green though.

Everything you just said is more proof that they made a bad decision. Also, anyone that was a "must have" signed.

I agree with chapel on this one.  There is so much thinking on every pitch, especially with men on base. I love that part of it.  The time between pitches and stepping out of the box needs to be addressed. As a kid, games averaged around 2:20.  Now it seems like 4 hours.  And the last few years there isn't as much base stealing and starting runners as there was.  But the game itself is intriguing and thoughtful.

I once read 4.5 pages in a book by Tony La Russa about whether or not he should have thrown a pick off in a certain count and how by simply throwing it could have affected the entire game. It was mind blowing.

Bomber ball is ruining the games enjoyability.

Just because it's popular does not mean it's good and vice versa.

That doesn't apply here. There's nothing morally or ethically wrong about the sport of baseball. it's not horse racing.

It's clearly enjoyable because how many people find joy in playing baseball. some people finding that boring doesn't change that.

*disclaimer, I am not against the sport of horse racing or a member of PETA, just presenting  a sport with an ethical question.

I don’t get why people like it, I get the actual game

Knowing the basic rules is not understanding the game. At least in the context that I am saying it.

If you didn't play it growing up,  don't watch it now. I find it hard to believe you really understand it.

Also, if you don't understand why someone likes something that millions of people like, it's probably you, not that millions of people enjoy boring themselves.

I said I don’t watch but that is because I do understand, that it is boring well that and the Pirates suck

oh I believe that, you understand. its the actual sport im talking about.

I just don’t get it at all, I find almost any other sport more appealing and if John Kruk, David Welles, Cc Sabathia and Dmitri Young can be star athletes you are right up there with bowling.

and sorry I guess the bolded part threw me off

Just the other day, I celebrated my one year anniversary with TheSportster and realized...

there maybe 20 all star appearances on that entire list if you take out Gwynn. Also a lot of these weights are reported past their primes when the PEDs wore out. Cecil  and mo vaughn are list at 230 and 225.....seems pretty related to most other sports. Most on this list are every bit the athlete you are thinking of in other sports. You just don't watch and have already admitted to not understanding.
