I believe I will be returning as a season ticket holder this season. Still need to see the schedule to know for sure though, seeing that I can't make any week day games. Hopefully there wont be as many this season, I can handle one or two, but not 3/6. 

Seven position starters are back in the mix, including the entire outfield that consists of juniors Chris Chatfield (Riverview, Fla.) and Garrett Zech (Naples, Fla.), along with senior Duke Stunkel Jr. (Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.).

With Kevin Merrell now shining in pro baseball, USF will have to decide on a new starting shortstop along with securing plans for second base.

Money Manziel should be the Poster boy of this league and bring back the "He Hate Me" moniker. I know they want to get away from Gimmicks but I don't think allowing players to use nicknames gets in the way of anything football related and it would fit so well.

I understand that to a point, but I don't think you can let one Saturday change the perspective of an entire season, and based on their entire regular season, they did not deserve a shot. The Auburn game just one of the "given saturdays" that UCF won, not a metric of their entire season. 

Here's a question. Outside of Auburn, did UCF have a quality win? I think its debatable at best. Show me which one of the top six in the CFP poll doesn't have a consensus quality win. 

UCF's possible quality wins 

Memphis- debatable (weak if it is your best win)

Maryland- punching bag of the big ten, beaten by Penn state 66-3

Us- no wins over ranked opponents, lost our only two attempts at it. 

Clearly, there's no clear cut quality win here.

Transitive property doesn't apply to sports. Their resume would have had to hold up on its own w/o the Auburn win. It didn't.

Yeah, the CFL, with its bigger field, three downs, and running starts suit players with big play mentality perfectly.

There's the confusion, Only three teams in the conference feel that bias. The rest are very fairly judged, which is why the other three feel the bias. So its not really a bias as much as it is a reflection of the conference as a whole.

eam efficiencies are based on the point contributions of each unit to the team's scoring margin, on a per-play basis. The values are adjusted for strength of schedule and down-weighted for "garbage time" (based on win probability). The scale goes from 0 to 100; higher numbers are better and the average is roughly 50 for all categories. Efficiencies update daily during the season.

The Fremeau Efficiency Index (FEI) is a college football rating system based on opponent-adjusted drive efficiency. Approximately 20,000 possessions are contested annually in FBS vs. FBS games. First-half clock-kills and end-of-game garbage drives and scores are filtered out. Game efficiency (GE) is a measure of net success on non-garbage possessions, and FEI opponent adjustments are calculated with special emphasis placed on quality performances against good teams, win or lose. Strength of schedule (SOS) ratings represent the average number of losses an elite team (two standard deviations better than average) would have against the team's entire schedule.

Offensive FEI (OFEI) is value generated per drive adjusted for starting field position and opponent defenses faced. Defensive FEI (DFEI) is value generated per opponent drive adjusted for starting field position and opponent offenses faced. Special Teams Efficiency (STE) is the average value generated per possession by a team's non-offensive and non-defensive units.

Note that SOS, OFEI, DFEI, and STE ratings formulas and formatting have been updated for the 2017 season. Archived ratings for other seasons will be updated in the off-season.

These are the team efficiency ratings, which would suggest there are 10 more deserving teams. We'll subtract Auburn since they get the 20/20 effect of knowing they beat them head to head in the Peach Bowl, even though that wouldn't have come into play at the time of selection.

UCF was a Quality loss, Houston wasn't and we had no Quality win because there are only three Quality teams in the conference. We are one, we lost one, and didn't get a chance at the other.

Any given Saturday?  yes, but they are the better and more deserving teams. It has do with how bad the rest of the AAC is vs the rest of the Big Ten, nothing to do with Memphis, UCF, or us. Only five AAC teams had positive point differentials to end the season, nine teams in the big ten met that standard. The AAC was a whopping 5-28 against ranked opponents (.178%) this season, the big ten? 12-44 (.272%). 

My conclusion is that the teams in the Big Ten played more ranked opponents (by a lot) and won a much higher percentage of those games (almost 100 points). To me that means the bulk of the Big Ten is better than the bulk of the AAC, which is why those teams are more deserving.

I got 7. The four who went, plus Ohio State, Wisconsin, and Penn State. Sorry, the Big Ten is a tougher conference.

And If I recall, he did have some issues taking a snap under center. That's a red flag for NFL scouts.

That has more to do with the major bowls. They had deals with the P5 conferences previously and that couldn't be ignored. But this is all a mute point. We agreed to all of this so like i've said, if you have a problem with CFP advocate for USF to go FCS.
