Mike Hughes. Rivals 4 star talent. He may be the best UCF D talent. UCF might get one more year out of him before he gone.
NCAA #2 punt returner.
Comes to UCF late this pre season, breaks into the 1 deep.

Kyle Gibson, from Armwood. 4 star AAC D player of the week this week.
If that is the UCF D back JUCO talent, I'll take it.
You went looking for or examples and only found 2? You're right, straight studs over there

Tulsa wins without their QB getting knocked out with that dirty hit. Auggie doesn't scare any top offense
The point was that he can run with a TE not that scares anyone and there's absolutely no one on UCF defense that's scary. Your DBs are JuCo talent at best. Griffin is going to have to make every tackle. And IF Abby doesn't get hurt he scores and Navy beatable UCF. I can play that game too

Yes he is matchup nightmare for defenses along with Gabe Davis who is emerging. Aikens didn't play vs UCONN. The USF Defense blitzes a lot to compensate for your LBs meaning big plays will be available
So our safties.....nonexistent? because Jaymon Thomas at 6'3 195 could cover him. And Auggie was running with the Tulas RB down the sideline last night so idk if your boy is just gonna be able to just run past him.

where did I say anything about this game? he is claiming they haven't faced a defense this tough. I just said neither have we. and we haven't faced an offense as tough either.
Maybe I failed to explain myself. My point is that I don't understand how someone can believe that we will get destroyed.
Their success seems to predicated on a high scoring offensive attack that has not played a formidable defense this season. On paper, we are a much better defense than anything they have played this season, not the otherwise.
Now maybe we are fake, or maybe Mike Love, Bruce Hector, Deadrin Senat, and Greg Reaves, as advertised, decide to play the game on their side of the line of scrimmage. If the latter happens, which I believe has a real chance of being true, their offense would stall, and they haven't proven that they can win a grind-it-out game. Navy came close, but when their starter went down, they couldn't score either.
Again, I don't think you can just assume that we will get destroyed. They haven't proven they can beat us. This is on top of the fact that it's a rivalry game and anything can happen.
That's just my two cents

Just like last night for USF. I think it all evens out.
I think its all evens out too. But I think a lot on this board are just giving UCF credit for stuff like that and using it against USF.

Navy and SMU wins were 31 point wins IIRC Maryland was slightly more.....38 I think.
I like the total points allowed D stat. USF does very well.
Well sos takes into account the whole year and not one game. So it doesn't count the fact that Maryland couldn't score on air with a 3rd string QB. So that 38 point win is misleading

I think it's a rivalry game and a toss up.
they have played a tougher schedule and have looked better and are at home. their SOS is #70 compared to ours at #112
It's defiantly toss up.
Bad is bad is bad. The talent gap between the 70th ranked schedule and 112th is a lot smaller than the gap between 70 and 30

True, but the strength of schedule has to be factored in at some point.
QF can win a game all by himself, if Charlie would allow him to, in my opinion.
I agree but what proof is there that UCF can win if their offense doesn't scored 35 plus? They haven't played a defense that can do that. Now maybe we can't either, but they haven't provided any proof that we can't based on who they've played
-
Just now, Bull94 said:
we haven't played a top 5 offense or top 50 defense either.
we were just held to 27 points at home by the #127 defense
that does't make them any better. Just proves there's a lot of questions for both teams. You cant say we suck because we haven't played anyone and they are great when they also haven't played anyone.

Last I checked the team that scores more wins
last time I checked, they don't play against air.

i will also point out they the top ranked defense UCF has played is Memphis at #73. We are ranked 21st. There's a difference in what they have seen and what they are about to see.
**Temple is 66

Glad people are finally seeing the writing on the wall. UCF will destroy us!
What have they done? honestly, they score a lot of points cool, but they haven't played a Defense ranked inside the top 70. We are 50 spots ahead of that.

lol according to some of you after that drubbing UCF gave Memphis and Maryland, they might as well be screaming we want Bama because we don't even belong on the same field.

The question needs to be asked, how many teams have UCF and Memphis played that are as good as we are? They have both played basically the same schedule as us.
This!!!

Great short story during the broadcast last night about how Gilbert pointed out to the broadcast team the differences in Florida kids vs Texas kids. Basically said that Texas kids are indoctrinated to the local HS playbook starting in 6th grade and that players are "developed" locally over years until they reach high school. Said he worked with middle schoolers when he was a HS coach to prep them for the move to HS ball.
Sounds like he doesn't have any desire to change his ways for Florida kids who are more athletic and may not fit into his scheme as he wants to "develop" players.
Wish I had the clip to go with it, but I was so disgusted with the game that I deleted it from the DVR as soon as I finished watching.
Sounds like an excuse by CSG

I will remember this season in a better light than I am experiencing it, that's for sure.

our DL is trouble for anyone, they get after it.

Their Db's are awful

Ball control via run game and short passes will be key. Can’t get into a track meet with these guys
9 minutes ago, Roaming Bull said:Well if that’s how they play it we might be doomed. Run plays=runs up the middle; screens don’t work well with the defense draped on you and the short pass game hasn’t looked good this year. I hope they at least look back at me of the games from last year and try to mirror it in even the slightest way. Q has no rhythm and they haven’t allowed him to develop one this season.
8 minutes ago, goldenbrahm1996 said:We have the better defense and the best player on the field who also happens to have 3+ years of experience in big games. Also the same guy who has absolutely balled out in every big game he's played in. I like or chances way more than most others on here.

If this becomes a defensive game, we win. We have been in that spot where our defense has to play well for us to win. There's has not been needed. If our front 4 dominates and they cant score 40 on us, they will lose.
-
I think our front 4 is going to give them something they haven't seen before. they are going to have to adjust. I also think Milton will be under more pressure then he has ever seen. If they cant adjust, they don't stand a chance. Maybe i'm just to biased but I cant find a single DL unit that they have faced that can match up with what we bring.

in 2013, when they won the Fiesta Bowl and we won 2 games, the score was 23-20. Are this year's teams as far apart as they were then? Its a rivalry game, anything can and will happen.

Bill Snyder apparently likes his son more than Jim Leavitt
in USF South Florida Bulls Athletics
Posted
Both of those examples had better quality resumes before getting anything remotely close to a Power 5 HC job than Sean Snyder
