  1. Their site basically posted the same preview with one added piece of info.

"Nine of FSU’s 14 newcomers saw action last weekend, including the first starts for shortstop Mike Salvatore, second baseman Rafael Bournigal, rightfielder Reese Albert and designated hitter Skylar Frey."

It should be noted that all of these players mentioned are upperclassmen except for Albert.

It also said that they had three Freshmen throw seven combined innings in the first weekend. They struck out 11 batters

. Should be a tough match up and good game. It would be great to see a win here, but a loss is not the end of the world.

Go to their house. Take their money. Eat their lunch. Kiss their spouse. Keep doing it year after year. If you don't get the return game you still make the noise that you are as good and better than these P5 teams.

This is all I could think about when I read this. not sure if it applies but, still a great line.

    From the Daily Stampede

    Season Prediction

The bullpen isn’t deep enough to sustain through 52 games and is the Achilles’ Heel of the team. Montes isn’t the answer at SS and Dietrich doesn’t improve enough as a catcher. McClanahan can’t live up to the hype and struggles as the ace. Chatfield regresses and never develops into what he can become—a 12-15 home run threat—with a decent average. The Bulls finish fifth in the conference and go 1-2 in the the House of Horrors that is Spectrum Field in a nightmarish first season for Mohl.

  4. the Oracle previews the upcoming season.

the article really highlights our experienced line-up

“All those guys are (at least) juniors now, they’ve been through the fires,” first-year coach Billy Mohl said. “They have hundreds of hundreds of at-bats under their belt. The pitchers have tons of innings under theirs.”

Season kicks off tomorrow (Friday, 2/16) against UNC.

The Tar Heels are coming ranked #6 in the preseason rankings

  5. Starting the season off great with a 3-0 win

Coach Eriksen complemented the Freshmen in the win

""I thought the freshman did a phenomenal job. How many times did you see the freshman come out in a composure situation like that,"

Good to see young bulls succeeding early.

    Key Stats
3 – USF scored all three of its runs with two outs in the sixth inning.(Clutch)
3 – USF's trio of pitchers allowed just three hits.

Countdown to 900 for Coach Eriksen sits at three

Honestly what is unique, interesting or special about a Publix sub? I don’t think they are horrible by any stretch of the imagination but they are equally not special and the definition of average.

I used to really like the chicken tender sub when I was at USF. I never saw anything like that on the J-mikes or firehouse menu. outside of that, very average.

Waller should be signing in the next couple of minutes as Farragut has their ceremony at 1p. Locking this young beast in should complete this Strong class.

Was getting a little concerned. Thanks for the info.

Have we heard anything? Knowing that his ceremony was at one and it still not being official now, has me a little worried.

    4. Schedule, both the days and times of the games as well as the teams on it.

    5. When people stop going the atmosphere gets worse, it seems like the not cool thing to do, less people go and the cycle continues.

    6. Instability of the program and a revolving door of the face of the program after greater than a decade of one person building something from nothing and spreading that enthusiasm.

    7. College football in general facing declines.

    8. Red seats and pirate ships.

    9. Mall parking lot insane all day tailgating disappearing.

    10. The AAC

4 thru 10 = Apathy .... just depends on which excuse you want to assign to it.

I know four knocked me out last season. I have to travel over an hour and a half to games and can't make weekday games due to work and high school games that I am committed to. I'm also not affluent enough to be able to buy tickets and donate them as mentioned in the thread. So I think is valid for some.

Bowlsby is doing what UT as OU wants. He and they will be fine. Those two will not move on because no other conference will give them the deal they give themselves. When the time works for them, they will add. The Pac-12 and the Big10 got left out this season not the Big 12 so the argument that they need a championship game is flawed.  What exactly is their motivation?

I misspoke, they do have a championship game, just not the traditional two division format. However, the point is the same, there is no need to expand as long as their 1 loss or undefeated champion is getting in.

Hate to say it but it looks like the Big 12 is on a death path as long as Bowlsby with them. Come 2025, I will be shocked if they survive.

B12 refuses to admit winter is coming, they don't believe in the white walkers. Does Bowlsby think UT and OK are gonna take him along for the ride when the conference dies and they move on? Or is it just the bane of capitalism where he only cares about the next quarterly balance sheet and not anything sustainable?

  11. They did what was right for Evan. They knew they were rebuilding the team and the infield in particular. He probably wants to win now and hes from the West Coast. I think they repaid his loyalty with a move that gets him a better chance at a ring. Also, Sorry but christian Arroyo could end up being just as good in two years, He isn't exactly "table scraps" as the return for Longo has been titled in the thread. His ML numbers were low but it was small sample size that was cut by injury. In six seasons in the minors he had a career 300 ave. and a 960 Fielding percentage. No reason to believe he wont make this trade seem even or in our favor in five years.
