This team is in the top third of most statistical categories in the conference. They are under performing the expectations, but I do not think they have provided the evidence to assume them a .500 team.
-
I wasn't able to watch last night but it wasn't a loss where they were dominated. A good start and 8 hits is still positive. We just cant leave the bases juiced that many times. We cant expect everything to go our way every night. They are still 6-3 when you take out NC and FSU. I don't believe this is an Omaha team by any stretch, but all in all they are trending upward. My biggest concern thus far has been Perez in high leverage situations. The Columbia loss was a tougher pill to swallow for me.

Exactly what was said:
"Never said my daughter was on the team (USF). I have 3 daughters and 2 grand daughters who played college basketball, 2 played on NCAA Championship teams."
Pics or it didn't happen, as far as i'm concerned.

The Bulls are set to take on two teams who will quite stretched out.
Both JU and CMU are getting ready to play 5 games in 6 days. The Phins will take on UNF today before hosting the bulls on Wednesday as the Chippewas Will play Seton Hall and VT before traveling to Tampa to take on the bulls. Not many staffs are ready for that type of workload this early.
JU is 7-4 and lead by Angel Camacho (.283, 7 RBIs) and Chris Lehain (.296, 9 RBIs)
CMU is 2-8-1 and have only defeated Stephan F Austin University, who is win-less (0-10) on the season.
If the Bulls offense stays hot, it should make for another successful week.

Awesome week. Go Bulls

Did it look like this?

They have really been swinging the bat well all season. Villar has been a real tough out and has been really clutch with RISP.
-
After a slow start, the Bulls dominated the second half of this game. Villar is the clear cut leader of this team offensively. When we need someone to come though, he certainly has.
-
Perez has not been the same this season.
-
need a rally here
-
Perez is struggles again to make it through clean half inning. Any concern brewing?

Perez in for the save

I'm hoping Pistol can finish this one.

Bit of a slow start.

Genord returned as well. Great to see them both back. Now where do they fit in the lineup together?

Bull’s offense stays hot as they cruise past the Columbia Lions 13-1. The Bulls collected 16 hits on the night to give ace pitcher Shane McClanahan his second win on the season.
The bulls were lead once again by Villar and Chatfield at the plate as the two combined for six hits, five of which went for extra bases. Villar slammed his second HR in as many games bringing his total up to 3. Duke Stunkel Jr. returned to the lineup tonight and wasted no time getting in the groove. He went 2-4 with 3 RBI’s and a double. Tonight you could really just close your eyes and point to the line up and you would most likely find a Bull hitter with a good night as every starter posted at least one hit.
Genord also made his return as he took an at bat for Stunkel and finished the game at 1B.
McClanahan pitched well once again. In two starts, he had yet to allow any earned runs and tonight was no different. The ace looked the part as he struck out 12 Lion batters and surrendered only 3 hits and 2 walks. The limited amount of walks is huge, as consistent command has plagued him in the past. Hope this is a trend that continues. If so, the Bulls could be watching a Golden Spikes nominee every Friday night. The relievers were perfect as Eason and Korosec completed the final three innings allowing no hits and no runs.
Overall, it was another exiting night for Bulls fans. We saw the return of both Stunkel and Genord, our ace continued to be dominant, and Bulls’ bats struggled to miss the baseball. One thing we didn’t like was the three errors, but we will give the Bulls a pass. Sugar Shane might have lulled his defense to sleep by striking out so many hitters. Great night, go Bulls!

Is this Stunkels first start at 1B?

Actually Shane needs to get the Bulls a win this series.

Shane has done his part. The offense has let him down last start. Tonight......different story.

We're peaking at the right time!
I don't know much about the selection process. But if by some stretch they win the AAC tournament, they are in the dance right?

Do we really want to be PU or UP?
I just keep hearing...PU, you guys stink.

I agree USF is fine for me.

I feel like this is more about the pirates struggles to draft than the rays. Although they have been known to blow a top pick or two.....Looking at you whoever decided Tim Beckham was a better choice than Buster Posey.
