All head coaches and GMs had prior commitments at the owners meetings in Orlando so it was likely coordinators and position coaches

I don't know if moving it would have changed much. Its not like our pro day was filled with potential first rounders.

I would need more clarification on what 40+ means. we talking 40-45 or 50- 55

Congrats to her. Well deserved.

We have a thread going in the baseball club about the guys at D1 baseball having us close to their top 25 as well. Another good week could see us getting in a few polls.
-
Houston, ECU and that school in Orlando seem to be our toughest competition. Wichita is pretty good as well, them and ECU will be a good series to keep and eye on this weekend.
-
Going to need the lineup to stay hot. We can jump on them quick and avoid the closer.
-
I think a win against Stetson and series win this weekend could do the trick.
-
Attending?? Does this mean he is having a try out or is on the team?

D1 baseball takes live comments and questions about their rankings every week.
This week I posed this question:
How far out is South Florida from being ranked, and what have you guys thought about McClanahan thus far?
Aaron Fitz of D1 baseball gave this response:
Bulls are definitely close, after taking that series from UConn. They've played great baseball since dropping that series to UNC the first week. McClanahan is a rock star, although I can't believe he gave up some runs this weekend! I was starting to think he was going to last the whole season with a 0.00 ERA...
another successful week could see the Bulls in the bottom of the D1 baseball rankings.
What do you guys think?

Just a single thread for any weekly awards the player may receive.
The first award this week goes to JD Dutka.
His .500 ave included 4 XBHs, 6 Rs, and 3 RBIs.

who no longer has any of the weapons left over from the GCO
This could be a blessing in disguise. I would rather have players that suit Gilbert's offense than Taggart's weapons.

Hopefully its not foreshadowing.

After Yager's performance on Friday, does he get a look?
He may get some starts soon, but I like him, king, and Cruz in relief. Ragsdale has been good too.

Sullivan earned next weekend with today’s start. Glad to see him come through today.
-
Gotta love a team that grinds out a series win, especially when the ace/ struggles. Genord is a beast, a must watch batter right now.
-
Great start by Sullivan. If he can be a solid Sunday starter, we will be really tough to beat in any series.

Big Joe coming through in the clutch.

A Five-Run Sixth Gives Bulls Win to Even UConn Series
TAMPA, MARCH 24, 2018 – The University of South Florida baseball team scored the final six runs, including five in the sixth inning to knock off UConn 8-4 Friday, evening the opening series of conference play.
The Huskies (11-8, 1-1 The American) and Bulls (17-7, 1-1 The American) each plated two in the second inning. UConn added runs in the third and fifth to lead 4-2 heading into the sixth.
Junior Garrett Zech (Naples, Fla.) got the inning started with leadoff triple to center, then Tyler Dietrich (Naples, Fla.) walked, which forced the Huskies to go to the bullpen. Zech scored on the next at-bat, but it was a double play, emptying the bags with two gone. David Villar (Pembroke Pines, Fla.) and Duke Stunkel Jr. (Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.) each singled, then Joe Genord(Lake Worth, Fla.) doubled to right, giving the Bulls their first lead of the weekend, 5-4.
The two-out rally continued, as Chris Chatfield (Riverview, Fla.) tripled to right center, scoring Genord. Then JD Dutka(Suwanee, Ga.) singled through the left, making it 7-4. USF added another in the seventh, giving the bullpen plenty of insurance.
Key Stats
3 – The Bulls had three triples in the game. Chatfield hit his fourth and Zech hit his sixth.
7 – USF had a balanced attack on offense, as seven different players scored.
10 – The Bulls had 10 hits in the game, the 15th time they've done that this year.
Notables- Junior Coco Montes (Miami) went 2-for-4 with a run, RBI and his first career triple.
- Stunkel Jr. also went 2-for-4 with a run and a RBI.
- Redshirt senior righty Peter Strzelecki (Lake Worth, Fla.) got the win to improve to 3-1 on the year. He went 6.0 innings and struck out five.

Just couldn’t get out of the seventh and you can’t give a team like Stetson extra outs.
