    He should start as many his guys as possible. If they have the ability to start, you get 4 years of his guys. Wherever you can obviously. O-line, d-line you’d like new stronger big bodies but every other skill position we can change. The point is our defense is the worst in the country at every position we were terrible. You literally cannot do worse than last year except maybe setting a new level of bad but to roll out the same guys expecting them to be better is kind of silly at this point the stats speak for itself

    Memphis won nothing but shootouts and until they lost norvell would still be winning 10-11 games we would gladly take scoring 40-60 points a game with a crappy defense

    Exactly. We were dead last defensively with who people are saying were “good” at their position. Noone was good on the worst defense in the country. Literally anyone freshman we swap in or transfer can do no worse than the last ranked defense in country. So we will take any and all who want to come. Take a guy off street who is big body and teach him how to play. We are literally terrible so i would start as many new players as possible in his first year.

    Oh i agree but he can be a great person and a good bull. Playing sports opens you up for criticism about your size, skill, stats. Agree no need to bash players. My opinion is simple. He could be the best player on a 1-11 defense and he is expendable. There will be a new leading tackler. Anyone can go. I wish him the best but noone on that side of the ball should feel like they are safe or a starter next season.

    Not only that but seriously every major football school is extremely critical of their players. They would get eaten up anywhere else if they feel that way about a few fans on this message board.

    Remember marsh brown was a move that got us through this year. Brown was redshirting. Wasting a year on that start was not worth it.

    I agree it’s not fair to trickett to conform to new offense and take no credit. He should use what he showed on film here and move onto another team. He is a good OC who is still developing his craft but lot of promise. He would be overshadowed. Cag needs tl bring in a new young oc who is going to think like him someone from tennessee or ucf lineage and he can mold. Cag is calling the plays.

    I think he is a great coach. Has a legit. It just bad optics we hire two fau coaches i guess. We shall see. All that matters is recruiting and coaching.

    This is a rough start…this goes to show you he doesnt have the contacts. He hired the first guy available. He was leaving a failed job at fau. Doesnt even seem like be had time to vet more. Poor start to coaching

    I agree which is why deion was so worth it. The influx lf talent could have been 1-11 to 11-1. So now we need to do it blue collar way. Battie will make sure defenses have to be honest for the run. We need to get a few wr’s who can run the field and win battles. we saw every team have a receiver who took over the games. We need at least one. Atkins in the slot and we have a great chance. with minima coaching impact we win 4/5 pretty easily

    I really hope james rowe would come back from nfl and be our dc. His experience in the secondary from nfl would help us. He would be able to recruit in florida as well especially his high school. Cocoa

    Trickett showed a lot of creativity through year. We moved the ball pretty well actually once the so called stars all disappeared and we settled on the players who wanted to keep playing and at the end you saw we can use freshman and guys who hadn’t been a factor. Atkins seems like he will be a staple in our offense. We can dominate offensively. We do need to stretch field though and i would like whoever aligns with his offense the best as a head coach. He needs to implement his style 100% not a mixture. We will still run but we need 300 yards in the air most games to win games

    I would agree. We lost some close games to some good teams. We should improve with quality coaching and a focus on defense primarily on the front. We need body movers. Find a way to bring in massive front 4. We can be undersized everywhere else on defense if we can create a problem up front. If we improve in slightest on defense and are more efficient on offense we win 6 games next year with our schedule. A good coach can make this happen. Year 2 we win 8-10 games and play for conf title
