  1. I'm guessing there is more money on the line with FSU/Miami. They probably don't care if the stadium is half full as long as it's on TV during the scheduled time, even if it's in another city.
  2. This is the guy that "broke" the Nebraska back to the Big 12 story. Lists his occupation as a real estate agent. Wonder if he wears a tuxedo when showing houses. "This house, perfect it is." https://www.linkedin.com/in/themontyshow
  3. A double header? I would think they wouldn't have much time to fix the field. And it would really suck if there is a bigger crowd for two visiting teams than our home game. http://www.tampabay.com/sports/college/hurricane-matthew-could-force-fsu-miami-game-to-raymond-james-stadium/2296732
  4. Ah... this sounds strangely familiar. We may be a perfect fit. Seriously though I don't see why practicing against a spread offense has to lead to poor tackling. But, it does seem to be the case for a lot of teams. Some correlation if not causation. http://www.foxsports.com/college-football/story/mailbag-two-theories-why-the-big-12-has-suddenly-collapsed-100516
  5. From the number that I've seen Nebraska may have made more money in the Big 12 this year because they negotiated stepped plan to full payout. They will eventually make more and with the uncertainty of the Big 12 and the fact that nobody likes Texas, no way they go back to the Big 12 without people getting fired or a revolt.
  6. Don't harsh the buzz man. I'm enjoying this year's success. Even with a win it's too soon to relive those times.
  7. I'm guessing that part of the feet dragging is UT and OU consulting with their team of lawyers to see what their chances are in breaking the GOR. The thing that blew up their move to the PAC 12 was the LHN. And that hasn't exactly gone well. It's losing millions. If they find it's possible they will break it as soon as possible.
  8. Honestly I don't think he gave it much thought after the first three. Probably gets paid by the word.
  9. I think the presentation, besides being great production-wise, enlightened a lot of people who only knew us as Southern Florida. http://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/big-12-expansion-losing-momentum-no-grant-of-rights-extension-ranking-candidates/
  10. Lamar Robbins was involved in the incident also, but he was reinstated. And how thing change: http://www.thedailystampede.com/2015/6/18/8803549/only-benjamin-knox-days-until-usf-football-2015
  11. I don't think anybody outside of the process really knows. I don't even think some inside the process know. There seems to be some speculation that if there is no expansion the GOR will be challenged and the conference will implode with UT and OU going to the PAC 12.
  12. I thought it was McMurphy and Fennelly after a USF win.
  13. Who's up for a clown-out this Saturday? Think Judy and Harlan would get behind it?
  14. The expansion candidates aren't the only one waiting on the Big 12. Because scheduling is going to get much tougher in the future, more P5 teams will help. Also, I may be in the minority here but I don't like the idea of companies having so much control over public institutions. I think a possible solution may exist in emerging technologies that will enable conferences and/or schools to cut out the media middle men and broadcast their own games. http://www.dailypress.com/sports/teel-blog/dp-acc-football-sked-vote-post.html
  15. Happened to see this about Ben Knox. What's his status? Can he come back to USF? I noticed that Taggart is following him.
  16. There's a lot of talk about Texas going after Tom Herman. Houston in the Big 12 would make that a lot harder. http://sportsday.dallasnews.com/college-sports/collegesports/2016/10/02/national-reaction-texas-okst-charlie-strong-hot-seatlonghorn-boosters-racing-get-tom-herman
  17. When people talk about any single loss or even one season as affecting the Big 12's decision, I think it's silly but Cincinnati might just be self-destructing with Tuberville and their AD. Stuff like this is not isolated: http://www.cincinnativseveryone.com/uc-football-is-in-full-collapse-changes-are-needed-immediately/ And did anyone else see Tuberville and Kiel yelling at each other after UC went for a field goal instead of going for it on fourth down?
  18. I thought he said "You look like me. You don't look like King, you look like me throwing that ball". Coach King is standing next to him and he turns his head towards him as he's saying it.
  19. Another #BAYMADE. Cool stuff of the prep for Cincinnati. Players talking about staying home. Loved what Deadrin Senat says about learning from the FSU game at 17:05. Lot of good stuff,
