  1. UCF losing makes me happy, but I will refrain from any smack talking until we beat FAMU on Saturday, then it is game on. On an objective note. UCF having just about the youngest roster in CFB showed. They are kinda like us the last two years, lots of young talent. I could care less about the conference, I hope they lose every game.
  2. Not so fast, my friend ... Rocky's wearing #4... Woulard is #4... Woulard got the waiver. Rocky won the mascot challenge, he is everything that is right with USF.
  3. We blamed CJL for hitting a plateau, we blamed BJ for not being good enough, we blamed CSH for everything bad that happens to babies, we blamed DW for hiring and extending the contract of CSH, We will be blaming CWT if things don't turn around this season. Can we start blaming Judy also, she seems to be the only constant.
  4. Awesome video, lots of Steven Bench in there.
  5. Because, you know, we have a history of destroying our warm up FBS opponents.
  6. I took it as we should put a beatdown on Famu and Bench will get time to play in second half. I think your perspective takes much more liberty with his comment than mine.
  7. He's still young with no game experience. He's also still a little undersized if he only 285lbs. The freshman should play this year, so we'll see him some. Totally thought you were talking about Flowers there.
  8. "Taggart reaffirms Bench will play Saturday: "It's a long season. We've got to get guys ready to play." #USF" Because that is what every program with a true starting QB says, right?
  9. Why is this a two page thread already? Why do promote the posting of such things by issuing pages of responses?
  10. “I always said I wouldn’t leave WKU unless I had a chance to go and win national championships.†Hmm. Hmmm. Uhmmm Uhhhhhh… I have no words.
  11. Surprised they rolled with the sad Taggart cover.
  12. Can you be a bit more specific as to how that translates to here? It doesn't have to be for here, it can be for where your physical presence is, and you're a pretty smart guy, I'm sure you can figure it out. My question is what do we do HERE until Saturday if it's not the cathartic debating and back and forth that seems to have your panties in a wad? Grabs popcorn
  13. One exception: Calibull. If this season doesn't go as planned, we might need to put him on 24/7 watch. It's just stupid that this same argument is raging less than a week from the first game. We've literally had dozens of threads like this across the offseason. And WGAS about "in your face" moments? Are anyone's feelings going to be hurt if someone rubs it in their face that they didn't think a good football team or even a mediocre one was possible? This is the internet, folks. It's a ******* message board that I really enjoy and it helps keep this Bull connected from 500 miles away. Let's all just sit back, cheer on the Bulls and try to be excited about this most wonderful time of year, and it would be great if we all enjoyed the best part about a USF football season of late: the week before the first game. After Saturday, reality will hit, and then we can ***** and moan if things are bad, and celebrate if things are good. Go Bulls. Yea, you sure are right about that.
  14. Hard to compare FAMU to McNeese... McNeese ended up 10-3 that season... FAMU will be lucky to win 3 games this season. Are we one of those three games? I wonder if FAMU looks at the schedule and says "Ya know, we can beat these fools."
  15. So CWT is playing his guys over the previous coach's guys? Crazy. Are you implying that CWT is playing "his guys" over better CSH recruited upper classmen? Regardless if he recruited them or not they are all his guys now and for the most part, he is gonna play whom ever gives him the best opportunity to win. If we are going to argue about that I will bow out now...with US Open starting tmrw and CFB around the corner I don't need spin my wheels much longer I'm saying even if they're remotely equal, every coach plays his guys. And please elaborate on the freshman CWT brought in that were beating out CSH's seniors "all over the field." My math might be off, but isn't CSH's true first class seniors right now? And not a single true freshman is starting. Edit: Last year was his first class. Only freshman I can think that started was Mack. There is a thread somewhere on CSH CWT receuiting classes that I tried to at least breakdown years etc. I am off to buy buttermilk for some waffles my wife is making hooray!! I broke it down for you. Marlon Mack is the lone freshman starter the past two years. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to Home Depot to buy a single lightbulb since I'm replacing lightbulbs "all over" my house. LOL that was funny (the lightbulb bit). Thx for the entertainment unfortunately I am not up for showing you the error of your ways atm bud. Will save it for the up coming season. Cheers. You've already written 500 words instead of a second name other than Mack. Take your time, I'm in no hurry. Classic! C'mon Bull-Hornz, give credit where credit is due, that was some lol stuff.
  16. You don't understand, their cupboard is bare.
  17. I can't speak for everyone, but I certainly do not underestimate cwt's incompetence.
  18. No more complicated than that? Really? How long have you followed this team? If you think the only difference between the last couple years and the glory days was Grothe, you're insane. Guilty. Plug in either one of those guys and were back to 7+ wins. You know, the good ol' days. Not buying, even Grothe could not save CWT from CWT.
  19. Also, watching the clip makes me realize how much I missed having the names on the Jerseys.
  20. I talked so much trash after that game. Thought for sure we were going to take the conference. Then....... well...... whatever.
  21. I hear ya, and I admit, my post falls in the category of "middle of off season rant". Excited for football to start.
  22. I agree with that, for the most part. As far as over thinking; perhaps, but my questions and thoughts were more responses to various excuses posed through the various off seasons (and during season). Again though, the QB position has certainly played the largest role in our issues since BJ left. But also in that lies another question, CWT has had several QBs go in an out of his system, QBs that he recruited and or convinced to transfer. So I think the answer still goes back to CWT, and here we are making excuses for him again. I am excited about the possibilities that Flowers brings. Not excited that it appears that Bench and Flowers will be starting this year, per CWT comments. This is CWTs year to bring it all together.
  23. Combining a few threads here, most notably the most recent Taggart Article. We will know the answer very soon, thank God football arrives soon. The off season has been brutal. I read a ton, on this forum and others, articles and other sources, about how we have much better athletes and players now that Taggart is going into year three; however, my question has been consistent; what measure are we using for this? First, I have come around that CWT is a better recruiter than CSH simply because our average rated athlete has remained static even though we are no longer in a power conference and our performance has been awful. Props to Taggart for at least maintaining and maybe ever so slightly increasing our recruiting rankings form the days of CSH This dove tails into my next point. What makes these new athletes better than our old athletes? 1. Our record has not improved from the days of CSH. 2. Recruiting rankings/star level/whatever measure you want to use for rating high school talent has not improved since CSH, maybe a little, but nothing program changing. 3. CWT saying they are better does not make them better, glorifying CWT's ability to bring in virtually the same level of talent that CSH did does not make them better. 4. Saying that the cupboard is no longer empty does not make them better. 5. Blaming CWT's ability to game plan and develop players does not make them better. 6. Being ranked at the bottom of the FBS in key factors does not make them better. 7. Saying that we had the "wrong" system for our players does not make them better. We will find out soon enough but we are simply riding on on hope here. Objectively, I cannot find a tangible piece of evidence to show that these awesome athletes that Taggart has brought in are better than what we have had in years past. I look at other schools around our conference and say, wow, we out recruited Memphis, Cincy, UCF, and everyone else every year since 2007 and they don't talk about empty cupboards, they just win conference championships and go to bowl games. We have been duped into believing that sub-par management has had something to do with sub-par talent while the rest of our conference deals with a lower talent level than we do and wins. It is bowl game or bust this year. I am 100% done hearing CWT blame college kids and previous coaches for his teams inability to perform. Now lets go beat FAMU by 40 and shock the world with an upset of FSU!
