How do you think the Student section will look game 1?

All the freshman want to go to their first football game. If we keep winning, they will keep coming and the apathetic sophomores and juniors will begin to show up as well.

there is no excitement for usf football this season. Taggart is right - gotta be earned back

 

 

I don't expect a sellout, but I do expect a buzz for the start. I only think 70% of the lower section, not 70% total. I know I have all 7 of my tickets in use + 4 freebees I gave out. We may be pleasantly surprised at opening day attendance. It will probably be our highest scoring game of the year too so it should have excitement.

I think the student section will be ok for the first quarter then will empty out as they start to pass out.

I don't think it's gonna be very good. It's not high school where you just go to go because "everyone is there" type of thing, most freshman don't know a whole lot of people yet so if they take a look at what we did last year, and who we play there's not much to entice them to show up. I'd think half the 100 section is filled up. Anything above that and i'll be pleasantly surprised.

My guess is that we will have a good showing on Saturday night.  As mentioned above, Freshman are excited to attend first college football game (for their college); I think most other USF students are also excited about a new season or at the very least will utilize the game for a meeting place before heading out to party; Plus all of us die hard USF fans will do our best to show up for the first game of the season...always a lot of excitement in the air on opening night!

Who cares?  If we put a winning team on the field we will be as competitive as anyone in that department.  That's the most important thing right now.

Usually the students make a good showing for the first game regardless of the opponent.  Then its downhill from there...

I asked Joey Knight about season tix sales, and it sounded like the question got avoided. He said he will ask again before the first game. I know Greg Auman always had a preseason article discussing season tix vs years past. We will have to wait and see.
