There it is! I was wondering when this baby would make its appearance.

Just so we're clear for the new ones to the conversation, that's not the picked location as far as we know, correct?

USF needs an OCS

Colorado State facility looks amazing. I would easily get behind the Houston model too.

ColoradoStateUniversityFootballStadium-E

Designed by Populous which is the same group that did the baseball, softball and soccer.

Actually it's pretty much the consensus on where the actual placeholder is... the varsity tennis courts are slated to be relocated back behind the new softball stadium and there are 2 parking garages slated for the parking lots outside the Sun Dome. Add to that the expansion of the Patel Center which will consume another 3rd of Fowler fields and the location shown above is just about the only space left. Also, the Meadows area just to the north of this is pretty much all wetlands and would be a bit of a pain to build there.

An earlier post had that DW said there was a location already picked out. There's been nothing official saying that is the spot he's talking about ... right?

No... it's just process of elimination.... there are only so many places you could put an OCS on the campus. With the existing plans that have been published, the location shown above is the only spot left.

Announce already.  Give the alumni and recruits some hope that our current situation is not permanent.  Would make fundraising a lot easier.

Build a stadium like Houston for 45k to 50k capacity with the ability to expand later. It cost around 105 million, so it might be affordable with selling the stadium name rights to a sponsor and money from concessions. I used to think ray jay was fine till recently. The atmosphere just isn't there. For land, how about building it where the university square mall is?

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
