Who could have ever guessed that having to spend like you are P5 while making much closer to G5 money isn't something with sustainability?

But this is a much larger issue.

Even with good football attendance they are struggling. I heard that they over expanded Their athletic programs not too long ago. Acceptance rate to that place is 80%...I wonder if their enrollment dipped as well? Edited May 18, 2020 by NewEnglandBull

At the end of the day most only care about FB and MBB, shut down the rest of the men’s sports and maybe we can satisfy the title IX requirement while we save some cash, not ideal but may be necessary. This is especially true with some of the Athletic palaces that are out there at schools like Alabama, Clemson, Oregon - even among the Pee-5 there is a hierarchy 1 hour ago, Friscobull said: At the end of the day most only care about FB and MBB, shut down the rest of the men’s sports and maybe we can satisfy the title IX requirement while we save some cash, not ideal but may be necessary. This would kind of defeat the whole point of intercollegiate athletics - I was lucky enough to be a D1 scholarship athlete in crew and the skills that I developed on the water (goal setting, teamwork, coachability, mental toughness, self confidence, determination, perseverance) have contributed to my success in life significantly more than anything I learned in the classroom

You can slash all of it except FB, MBB, WBB, WS, and WT&F. Increase scholarships in T&F and we probably meet Title 9. I bet ECU does something similar to this. You can always develop those same skills in HS sports, military, clubs in college, work etc...
