Honestly, I thought the same thing but, to me anyway, the ability to get a media deal, even if only an ambiguous $7 million over 4 years figure, makes it a lot more intriguing. They will probably be able to get some better players here and there but the BE is a much more difficult conference from top to bottom than the AAC and they weren't exactly dominating the conference here. Not saying anything will come of it but just doesn't look as bat **** crazy to me as I thought a few months ago and will be interesting to see how it progresses.
