He should have been on the line protecting himself.

Glad to see his leg has healed

Anyone know if he has been invited to any rookie camps? (assuming that they happen)

He had a great deep ball. Its hard to categorize Barnett as good or bad considering we know how much of a negative impact Strong had on the team. With one good and one bad split seasons, I cant help but to wonder what he could do with a real coach in a full season. Though our QB room is crowded enough right now.

Who do you compare Blake with as an NFL Prospect? I say he’s a poor man’s Mike Glennon.

Does he have any offers or try outs planned?  I'm assuming it would not be in the NFL, so CFL is only other option that I know.

He’s not a gamer. He’s an athletic practice QB. If he wants to play he should invest in mental part of the game, that’s his weakness. He needs mental coaching not football coaching.

This is exactly why 5 star prospects can windup going nowhere, where as walk-ons, like Mistral Raymond, go on to play in the NFL

He had some absolutely horrendous development here however he still simply is not good enough to play at the next level. It appears he works extremely hard, he wants to win, he has the size, maybe the arm strength, speed but he does not have the instincts to see the entire field and react quick enough to deliver the ball where it needs to go.  You can work on this but to me it is an innate talent that cannot be acquired, you either got it or you don’t and this kid just don’t got it.

I think he could play AFL, CFL, or XFL if they return.  He has the all the tools, but reading the field on the fly. He is a little older and will require coaching to develop that. Kurt Warner was  guy that found out to read a field later in life. I am not writing him off, but but the cards are stacked against him.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
