  1. In many transportation jobs that require federally mandated random drug testing . If a person test positive for a drug they are first asked if they have a legal reason for having the drug in their system (prescription) If not they are given the opportunity to enter a counseling program and tested randomly for a year. If they complete the program they cannot be fired…if they fail then they can be fired…. Now on a DUI there is no second chance… Some drugs may stop you from doing work task but usually the company has to provide you with an alternative...Lawsuit if not handled verry carefully...
  2. Funny you should mention that… You just reminded me about the old days when we would be up in the mid 30’s leading going into the last 12 minutes.. You knew things were ok and the backups all got time on the field and get some real game experience. But when you are loosing its bad…. and putting in backups for playing time is hard to do.. But having mom, dad and friends watch you play is a moral and adrenalin booster and should be used as a recruiting tool. IMO having backups play is also good team building….No prima Donnas..everyone has a chance to shine..
  3. got at leat two years with Holt'z QB HOLE
  4. And the inability to make recruits that fans want to come to USF is something that seems to go over the heads of most USF fans who think because the team is in FL that USF should be have top 10 recruiting classes year in and year out. All you have to do is want that recruit and they should come or want to be in that Power conference and you should be invited. And when the former doesn't happen, its the coaching staff's fault (not an offer from a top 10 team) and when the latter happens they start rumors on Twitter that USF is going power conference X because it just makes sense that they want a Florida presence, LOL I agree 99.9% … It’s hard to compete in recruiting with a NC school…. With that said bad/poor coaching leaving USF with dismal conference record does not help either.. Let us all remember…you can’t make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear And like FSU said Trickett could not take FSU to a NC.. USF will have to re—continue building a quality team with DEPTH…. The difference between winning and loosing also depend on luck and injuries. If USF has all the best players 22 player from the SEC we would still loose because of injuries… Our QB are not the best…signing a TRICKET/OTHER qb does not provide us with DEPTH.. So we will need luck…..with some luck our players will not get injured and our lack of depth will not be an issue…. Also with depth a team has the luxury to let the injured player heal 100%... Go Bulls
  5. I sit and remember (as best as I can) about the start of our program…and how small our line was… Division 1 schools had 300+ pounders and we were at 265-280…. Then one year I noticed we were recruiting lineman over 300 pounds I thought we had arrived…. Then the QB I noticed got better…They could scramble and throw accurately…The quality of our opponents got better AND USF was in the lime light…unheard of USF to a bowl game…all the sports commentators had a Cinderella story…good press… We are once again in the press but not a Cinderella Story…now its how we ******. It was a lot easier to draft a quality QB with Cinderella stories and favorable press… It will take some time to get our Cinderella back….We will have to live with the conference losses/folding until we run the table…then IMO will the folding negative attitude etc..cease.. Go Bulls
  6. IMO the most difficult part is to controll your acction.. .Big money and fame attracts many people not all have your best interest at heart.. They will give you all sorts of advice...but have their own agenda.... .Look at OJ....fame money but somewhere the wheels fell off....and some joe convinces him to get some jewerly back and he winds up in prison...
  7. Really??? Just for kicks, what came in between the Culverhouse era and the last two years of USF?? Hint: The big difference was Culverhouse was a financial success by drafting QB and trading ie Vinnie Testical Verdi ....My post was meant to shine a light on the fact that College teams cannot DRAFT QB's and our dilemma ... Go Bulls
  8. enjoy... http://onwardstate.com/2012/11/06/overhead-on-twitter-steven-bench-announces-presidential-candidacy/
  9. If he had excelled the jets would have given him a bye...But since he was marginal its cheap and easy to let him go for "cause"... Strawberry was given multiple chances.... I hope he can come clean work hard and perhaps go to a spring camp and get another chance to play with another team......
  10. Why sad? Not like it just happened to him, he did it to himself. The question could be... did the Marrijuana smoking effect his physical playing skills enough to never become a regular player???
  11. I'm amazed with so many Buc/USF fans ... I would think being a bottom dweller durring the Culverhouse era would have prepared them for USF the last two years... After all gettting the first NFL Draft Pick brought eternal optimism...Oh that's right USF can't draft QB"s
  12. I read up on Steven Bench the second it was anounced he was leaving Penn State over a week ago...When he was asked about schools contacts and interest....he replied Im keeping that all to myself... Don't ask for link that was over a week ago...while Trickett was still in an option...So I do not expect any news although ... if you search long enough there was a comment by a reporter that he was voting for himself for president of the United States... Let the pages fly with imagination and scoops.... Go Bulls
  13. American Eagle, no? No, no, no, everyone's favorite smack talking, LA-biased, every other university is better than my alma mater, personal injury attorney, heavy hitter extraordinaire, Smazza did, of course. Is he finally loosening his purse strings and the Smashing Zmazza Training complex on USF campus will become a reality soon...
  14. How do these people find "the reports" and or "rumors"? I've tried to google and bing, and I haven't found anything. There are three reliable sources.. 1. The quija board 2. a 12" Quartz crystal ball.. 3.Diving rods held by someone in Kentucky over our school name...when not looking for back yard oil...
  15. Given the situation...the final hope a QB walk on....ok in not living in the real world...
  16. I think Trent Miller might deserve some more time...In the few reps in the spring game I thought he looked good/confident... The spring game just told me that neither Eveld or Floyd had gotten any better since last fall.... Better an unknown, who like BJ stepped up, than two nice guys that have continue to show that they are just not up to the level required to win D 1 games ... Let Trent start and red shirt White and make a decission later on...
  17. I tiried to find some infoon Steven Bench....at Penn...nothing jumps out at me saying this guy would be good...or that he even has a positive attitude...reading between the lines I do not believe OBrien thought to much of him .... We obviously need a Texas A&M Johnny Football who can win a heisman in his freshman year...IMO better loose with a freshman then fustrated by floaters and fumbles...
  18. no but Steven Bench left Penn State so there that option
  19. Latest tweet looks like a decision is comming soon.... I cant get a clear indication.... https://twitter.com/ClintTrickett9 https://twitter.com/wselby1
  20. Clint's brother Travis is inTampa today ....Let's hope he stops by USF and gives Willie T some good news... https://twitter.com/CoachTTrickett
  21. From what I understand Football Willies have better homing ability they can find the end zone...Its the Basket Ball ones that get mixed up with all the running back and forth and only go for lay ups
  22. this says he is in Brimingham He says he's in the Tampa area for recruiting currently I just brought this up because I thought it was interesting.....I would have assumed the two brothers have met and had a chance to talk... he might be doing some negociating for his brother also... From earlier tweet he should of arrived in Tampa about 7-8 AM.. checking into hotel at 3 pm...lots of time to meet with his brother... Negotiating? Like what? "My brother will only come to USF if you agree to give him a full scholarship." Man, that older Trickett plays some hardball. This is Travis Trickett's start at coaching . Travis might be talkin/negociating the same deal on Clints behalf...maybe not just find it interesting they are both here at the same time...coincedence???? Electing to enroll in college at West Virginia University in nearby Morgantown, a freshman Travis Trickett walked into then Mountaineer head coach Rich Rodriguez’s office to ask him for an opportunity to become a student assistant with the football program http://www.southernpigskin.com/SoCon/view/the-rise-of-travis-trickett
  23. I would call that PISS POOR COACHING....thank God he is gone...and that these kids had some time under jim... Lol THESE GUYS HUH??!! Pretty hard to display your skills with the Play Calling...Time Management...definately coach related Right, the coaching was the reason we didn't have multiple players drafted .... I think you are missing my point...I believe we would of had more and higher drafted players with better coaching.. The point was you missed the point altogether ... you altogether missed the fact that smazza was wrong, we had multiple players drafted, contrary to his idiotic statement. I'm surprised we graduated together since the topic was Undrafted Bulls and I said we would have more and higher I don't get your point at all
