    Our team, when we are full-go, plays really well. However, after a little while, we run out of gas and sort of calm down. And this is when we get into trouble. We don't have the pure talent of shooters to just score during this time period. BG needs to keep substituting guys and not just let the starters run themselves tired like they did in this first game. Depaul will beat us when we play average ball. BTW, Vegas says we are underdogs by 4 pts in game 2.

    I watched a little of Depaul on YouTube and it seems like they are bigger and taller than most teams we've seen recently but they are slower. I think we have to play our brand of tough basketball to win this series --drive, get fouls and pray the FT goes in!

    I must admit that I wasn't all that excited when he was hired. I was sooo wrong! I was going on what he did at Georgia Tech. But look at the images. Clearly, GT is a deathtrap for bball coaches. USF finally did something right with USF men's bball!

    I want to listen, but I don't want to listen... I miss the man so much; it hurts to remember the old days of USF football. I think I'll not listen to it.

    Our guys are getting so much practice with these games. It's great to see them playing well together. I think this was a great idea (the tournament). Let's keep on rolling! Go Bulls!

    1. USF men's bball makes money! --I can't remember the link, but the program brings in the bread. So, the $50K fee is not a problem. 2. The AD basically said in the radio interview that we are going to play a postseason tourney if there's one, even if it's not the NIT. As for the women's program, they would only consider the NIT and nothing less. The men's program needs the momentum, he said. 3. I want postseason bball!

    I'll say this about the team: they didn't quit and made a game of it in the end. That's something to be proud of. Too much firepower from those ball-licking huskies tonight. Yeah, you read that right!

    Inside, we are going to be strong with Yetna and Durr. Though, they are still so raw. I like Kiir; he's improving. Let's see how he does next season. Rideau is the leader, but when he's not healthy we are back to no leadership. Brown needs a jumper. Seems like all he does is go for the 3-pt shot. And Collins is solid but he goes cold a lot. Sooo... We run at people and get to the line. Lots of bodies. I guess that works most of the time. But when teams shoot the lights out, we are in trouble, like tonight. Fun team. We need more firepower!

    This team has achieved quite a bit now, when you consider the individual awards. Q: How many players did we have when the program hit bottom? My blurry recollection was something like 3. Look at us now --just two years later. CBG deserves Coach of the Year.
