USF isn't moving up, it would have already happened. You have to accept that for now, the Big East is the best place to be. It seems to have stabilized. Being in a western conference makes as much sense as the SDSU and Boise St in the Big East move. And everyone thinks Boise St is done with its run anyway. Sit in the Big East, build a power program and hope to move up, to me, beats going to CUSA or the Sun Belt or the MAC and getting lost in the shuffle. Notice that those aren't the most stable conferences either. And if your conference isn't getting raided, you don't have teams that are wanted. Slick, can I make a friendly wager with you? I'll buy you drinks and grub at the first game we play in the new ACC or Big 12/14/16 if we don't get an invite by 2014/2015. It won't be next season, but I believe Feb is when the next round of realignment happens....

An ACC with old Big East/CUSA members is better then the gloom and doom of saying we will be in sunbelt/mac in a few years. Ideally, we want into the Big 12 to have real $$$ and a chance for a national title, but we need to first compete with the cards we are dealt first, before we step up to the big boy table. If I was UCF right now......I would be a tad worried. Their future is tied with us and if we don't bring them with us.....then its MaCation or CUSA 2.0 for the next decade or worst. My gut tells me that we are going to use their Media Market/Better Bball program/On Campus Stadium to help us pitch ourselves to a better situation. Then we will wreck their faces in football for the next decade as a thanks

I'm not worried one bit...we will either end up in the MWC until the ACC comes calling after they get wrecked by the other Big Boys or we will be in CUSA 2.0 untill the ACC comes calling after they get wrecked by the other Big Boys. Sounds cocky I know...but we are in Tampa freaking FL not some bum&%$# town in the middle of nowhere. We will find a good home. Just support Willie and the gang, show up to as many football/basketball/olympic sports games as you can and the rest will sort itself out....
