USF isn't moving up, it would have already happened. You have to accept that for now, the Big East is the best place to be. It seems to have stabilized. Being in a western conference makes as much sense as the SDSU and Boise St in the Big East move. And everyone thinks Boise St is done with its run anyway. Sit in the Big East, build a power program and hope to move up, to me, beats going to CUSA or the Sun Belt or the MAC and getting lost in the shuffle. Notice that those aren't the most stable conferences either. And if your conference isn't getting raided, you don't have teams that are wanted.
Slick, can I make a friendly wager with you? I'll buy you drinks and grub at the first game we play in the new ACC or Big 12/14/16 if we don't get an invite by 2014/2015. It won't be next season, but I believe Feb is when the next round of realignment happens....
