  1. We're not talking about $5 tickets here. We're talking reasonable $20-$30 seats. If all of a sudden, demand outweighs supply in our football OCS, I guarantee you the fans on this forum will be outraged that tickets are $80-$100+ with $25-$30 parking and high concession stand prices. They'll be saying it's not worth taking their 2 kids and wife to the game when it'll cost them $300+. Because of that, that fan and his family won't get to experience USF football in person. USF doesn't have a TON of fans relative to big time programs. Those "fans" don't stick around when the team isn't great. We'll be struggling to fill up the smaller sized stadium when the team isn't in 1st place. It's a chicken or the egg scenario in creating a fanbase. The fans need to be introduced with acceptable pricing levels while the demand is low enough and that's not going to be possible if the casual fan is immediately squeezed out from instant demand with limited supply when the glory fades. Not saying we need 60k seats but if we average say 35,000-38,000 and all of a sudden we're great and we want to welcome in new fans to an additional 4500-7000 seats, prices are going to skyrocket for the casual fan looking to see the Bulls. None of you will like that. That's also going to shoot up your precious season ticket prices as well many of those on this forum complain about when pricing changes or they can't pick their favorite seat for some reason.
  2. Yeah, I've seen that quote. I've followed Joe for years and I don't believe it would be out of the norm for him that, if USF kept winning and hype continued building, he puts us in as an at-large as the wins keep piling in toward the end. I don't think Joe anticipates USF winning out and acquiring those 4-5 Quad 1 victories along the way and the extended win streak right now. As I said, we have to win out AND those teams need to qualify as Quad 1 wins to get us there. Obviously, let's just go and win the tournament and get in automatically, no questions asked. However, I think with having a potential 5-0 record against Quad 1 teams with pending wins vs FAU (maybe x 2), SMU (maybe x 2), North Texas (maybe x 2), Memphis (if they somehow end up a Quad 1), and even Charlotte x 2 or 3 should be considered if they also end up with a good NET. Additionally, FSU sits at 95 today. Maybe they get hot and push themselves into the Quad 1 category before it's all said and done.
  3. They really fell apart because of poor coaching, didn't they?! Well, doesn't look like Memphis will be giving us one of our needed Quad 1 wins for our resume. We were lining up to potentially get Quad 1 wins vs. FAU (27), SMU (42), Memphis, and potentially North Texas (by the end of the season). UNT was 80 and Memphis was 76 prior to tonight's game. We may have finished the regular season with 4 Quad 1 wins and be the regular season champions on a 16 game winning streak heading into the conference tournament. 6 more wins in a row and a regular season championship would have also had us ranked in the Top 25 since we're already receiving votes. Then we potentially play 2 more games in the conference tourney which extends the winning streak to 18, maybe another one Quad 1 win there probably in a semifinal to go 5-0. Then we play in the championship where even if we lost, I think we'd make the tournament at that point as an at-large as a 26-6 team, winning 24 of the last 26 games played before the NCAA tournament (this includes losing in the AAC tourney championship).
  4. This will be how USF football works on campus when the team is good. Our average over the years with mediocre teams is too close to the proposed OCS available seats. When the team is good and hot ticket teams come through, it's going to price most out very quickly with the limited seating and jacked up supply/demand prices. Not meaning to hijack the thread with an OCS post, but this is what will happen. Potential expansion of the on-campus football stadium needs to be massive if we ever intend (which I hope we are) on being consistently good/ in a power conference.
  5. Improved from 103 to 101. Memphis still at 76 so we don't have our Quad 1 win back yet.
  6. The max odds on the least likely winners on FanDuel app are only +50,000 and doesn’t include USF as an option right now, but does include North Texas.
  7. Since USF has never won a regular season title, that would be so awesome!
  8. Yeah you're probably right. And yes, absolutely needs to hit the weights. He is rejected at the rim and flops way too often for a 6'10" man. If he can put on some muscle, he's really got something and by default, the Bulls have something.
  9. Absolutely agree. I watche FAU's last game and he was very dominate. Pryor can't guard him, that's for sure. I wonder who is going to have that task. Hopefully that person doesn't get into foul trouble early trying to guard him.
  10. Yes, a win Sunday really defines who this team is. Until then, we've had great games, close games, good wins, but this will be our biggest challenge to date. How do we respond? Do we go down 16-2 quickly or do we dictate the tempo, control the ball and win this one like men??!
  11. Indiana State WAS ranked, until today… they lost and will fall out of the Top 25 in the next rankings.
  12. We lost our Quad 1 win again with Memphis dropping to 76 lol
  13. Oh okay! Thanks for teaching me something new today lol. I never heard that before. I would have figured only Cavaliers or Cavs for UVA. When I saw Hoos, I was thinking you meant "Hoosiers" for Indiana State being that it's the Hoosier state but I know them to be Sycamores and Indiana University to hold the name "Hoosiers" or perhaps, in this case, "Hoos". FAU #24, Coaches RV
  14. Not NET, but Massey Rating improved from 95 to 89. https://masseyratings.com/cb2024/7278
  15. We're currently NET 102 prior to today's games' adjustments. I wonder if we finally drop below 100 in tomorrow's rankings.
  16. Yes, I won betting on the comeback. It meant that $10 wins $27, $100 wins $270, $1000 wins $2700. Took the bet when they were down 10 points in the first half.
