  1. ESPNU currently has us as the number 3 recruiting class in the Big East just as an fyi
  2. This kid is solid. I have seen him play this whole year and is a very solid and fast RB. Great hands and runs in between the tackles, he is more of a power back but a very solid runner. The reason why he has limited carries is that he splits carries with another RB on his team Daryl Chestnut who is also just as strong but a bit more elusive when it comes to running. According to ESPN we offered Woodley already. Not sure about the details though. If you guys want more info on him let me know, he went to my alma mater and I saw most of his games this year.
  3. Yep that was similar to our schedule last year. We had a ton of "home" games because a few tournaments were in Clearwater. We hold a huge advantage since we can bring our fans out if they are willing to make the drive. Always a fun time. You also need to remember that in February up both its not too favorable for softball so the south gets a bunch of tournaments early in the season. So teams near these tournament locations have these faux home games.
  4. Ha interesting, I need to catch that clip. It's true that pitching is her dominant position and honestly that is where she should stay. But if she is needed in the outfield she can fill in. Expect her to come out of the bullpen a lot to start out if she doesn't play the outfield. As for the bullsvision, last year they had a few games posted online but not many, which is a disappointment. This year hopefully they add more considering how far this team went last year. As for anyone in the Tampa area I recommend getting season tickets. You can get a family 4pack for $100 which is a steal. Only a few more days until first pitch!
  5. Yep losing Mouse was a big one but she did come back as an assistant to the team, which is nice. Her replacement seems to have quite a bat on her though. Haven't seen any videos in regards to the defense. We shall see how it works out
  6. Also the Goffs are Juniors this year. We still have them for one more year after this season
  7. I have a feeling that the rotation during a weekend series will be Nevins, Richardson, Nevins/Richarson (who ever is feeling better at the time. Greiner, Nunn. Nunn is multipurpose because she also played outfield when she was not pitching. She has a great arm and can throw runners out from the OF. So for her to finish all American as a multi purpose is huge because that means you were on top of your game with out having one solid position. As for academics our entire team is full of brainiacs. The whole team typically have a high gpa 3.5+
  8. I feel the starting line up will be like this, not sure of exact positions or batting line up but based off what I have seen and heard of these players this is what I am thinking: Catcher: Lee Ann Spivey (freshman) 1st: Stephanie Medina (junior) 2nd: Kenshira Jackson (senior) SS: Kourtney Salvarola (junior) 3rd: Nicolette Levine (sophomore transfer from FSU) We have many players who can play outfield so this is one of the toughest spots for me to decide: it will probably be a rotation for the first few weeks between Goff, Goff, Devine, Nunn and Juergens. As for pitching the rotation will be: Nevins (ace), Richardson, Greiner, and Nunn.
  9. I don't know much about the new bats we recruited except for Erica Nunn. She will be our new pitching prospect but will also play in the outfield. Judging from her HS stats she finished with a career .535 batting average. I am not sure if that is power hitting or slap hitting and she is just fast. Should b e nteresting with the recruits. As for the returning players we do still have some good bats, Medina, Kenshira, the Goff Twins, and Stormi (coming off the bench) should provide us with a strong base for hitting. I am excited to see the freshman and transfers we brought in. Lots of hype that comes with them. I am super excited for this season to start up
  10. Last year we lost 5 seniors all who played a pretty strong role with the team, but we have strength in a few locations as well as lots of players who have game experience. Our entire pitching staff is LOADED! This will most likely be our strength this year. We return all three starters who have a bunch of experience taking over games as well as bring in a true freshman pitcher who will likely see a few games but has had pretty dominant stats in HS, should be interesting to see how she develops especially with such a strong pitching core to help her out. It seems like this year we will be reloading and not rebuilding. Expect another great year!
  11. I have seen him play a few times now (Columbus is my alma mater) looks like he will develop into a really good qb. Has good size for the position and has a great arm. Exciting to see how he progresses especially with two more seasons left in HS. Here are some stats from this season: TD/Int ratio not great but mainly due to receivers being pretty terrible except for one. 140 completions, 259 attempts, 1822 passing yards, 10 TD, 10 Int.
  12. Totally forgot about this thread. If you haven't purchased a grill this is the one I use and have been using now for a couple of years, pretty solid in my opinion. A bit higher in price but very durable and easy to transport. It folds up very nicely for easy storage and since its propane its a quick turn around time to start cooking. Check it out: http://www.basspro.com/Brinkmann-Tailgate-Portable-Propane-Grill/product/10205230/
  13. This is the same student complex ownership as The Province which is on the south side of campus. They are a nicer management group when it comes to upkeep and the physical appearance of their apartments. So it should be a visually appeasing complex for the corner of 42nd. Lets see how it turns out!
  14. Keep an eye out for Softball this year. Last year the team made it to the College World Series (think Elite 8 in basketball). Last year's team had 5 Seniors on it with I believe 3 constant starters that just graduated. But we have a very talented and deep team this year. The team is mainly Sophmore's and Juniors this season, so the future still remains very bright. Plus throw in a very solid recruiting class this year and you have the make up for a successful team for a few years to come. Coach Ken and his Staff are doing a great job with this program, especially now with the new softball stadium they are bringing in strong recruiting classes each season. My Bold Prediction this season will be: baring any injuries we will have one of the top (if not the top) pitching staffs in the big east. We are returning Sara Nevins (Jr.) who has gotten better with every offseason and will probably lead the team in wins this year. Lindsey Richardson (Sr.) She is very consistant and does not let the game rattle her. Expect her to come in and just dominate the competition. Sam Greiner (So.) Still pretty raw talent but with an offseason to work on her mechanics and perfecting her game I think we will see a huge improvement from her. Then to add to an already solid pitching core. Our new Freshman Pitcher Erica Nunn, might not see too much time on the mound mainly because we have a deep staff but I can expect her pitching in games in which we are ahead and doing some clean up duty. I do not have too much information on her but this is striaght from the Athletics bio: Selected as ESPN High School All-American in 2012, All-State (NC) 4A Pitcher of the Year, Tri-9 Conference Softball Player of the Year, News & Observer High School Athlete Softball Player of the Year, and Team MVP. Go Bulls Softball!
  15. From past games I have gone to, I have been able to take in Tailgate Chairs just have to sit at the top by the sidewalk as to not obstruct someones view.
  16. Britt, the thing is you are valuing those tickets ridiculously high especially for Bulls Fans. Especially considering that section 240 is the recent graduate season ticket holder section which sells for $99 the whole season. So unless you got massively ripped off when you bought them, selling them for about 2.5X the season amount is a bit high. So using this math you get a face value per game of about $16.50 per game. Based off this I have sent you a very reasonable ticket price through your PM Go Bulls
  17. I never knew we won the Chess National Championship. You learn something new everyday!
  18. What kind of grill are you looking for? Propane/Charcoal? Also how big of a grill are you thinking of upgrading to?
  19. I got this in my email today about the new park. It also came with a diagram attached below! " Highlights you will find in the new park include a large sun shade structure, a tranquil fountain area, beautifully landscaped grounds, and plenty of gathering or “chilling†spots for kicking back and relaxing alone or with friends and colleagues. Collins Park is expected to be completed by the end of August. We’ll keep you updated during the summer on the progress. We look forward to seeing you at Collins Park this fall."
  20. Wow only 500 felt like more. Probably toward the end of the year attendance was a bit more consistent in the thousand ball park. Guess we had more low attendance games to start the year than what I remember.
  21. When the recently built softball stadium is completely filled on a more consistent basis. What was our avg attendance this season before the Hofstra series? I went to most of the games this year and I feel that not including the hofstra series your looking at an average of about 1000ish if that. We did not pack the stadium all too much out side of the florida game and the hofstra series. Plus you have to take into account that a lot of their games were mid week at about 5pm. Hard to draw a crowd at that time.
  22. The Softball team also had a participant trophy given to the students who go to the games. This trophy will be floating amongst the students who go to the games before it gets placed into the trophy case with the name of the groups who attended and supported the Softball team this year. (Beef Studs, Student Bulls Club, Goal Mouths) This was a complete surprise to all us students who were at the reception
