I think that would be an overreaction. I think CWT will make examples of a couple of slackers but they will not want to give the impression all is lost. Its not. We will struggle year but we should hope for steady improvements. O'leary lost every game his first year. Lets hope we don't have to experience that. That would really test the fan base. Fan Base?! We got 22k to a home opener with a new coach...with $8 tickets and 10k of that was students who were there to get drunk primarily. Fan base!? Fan Base!? Is it really that tough for you to understand? We are fans (short for fanatics). We will always look for bright spots for the team and the team and program. That's what we do. You are not a fan, not really. You are Statler and Waldorf (the two old judges from the Muppets -> dating myself). We could win the NC and you would complain about the score - admit it, you would. That's ok, like Statler and Waldorf you are good for a laugh now and then.

He didn't have an entire spring with the offense and he dinged up as reported. I know that of course. Have there been reports that he is tearing it up in the areas does know? Has there been any positive reports about him? I am asking because I have not seen them. I would expect wording from the coaches where I could glean that "but for his unfamiliarity with the offense he would be the starter." Full disclosure, I never was high on him and thought he was brought in for depth.

I don't much about Bench but if he is not in the competition this week I am not optimistic.

The season is not lost. If it was we would see White. Eveld had two dropped passes at least, one td called back and did not throw into triple coverage (was it the times for Floyd?)

He does not owe a personal explanation or apology to everyone on this board. He apologized in the press conference - and that was unnecessary IMO.

Well, texas is the straw that stirs that drink so if they said "no" then it is not going to happen. Baylor can be pressured. we may never know. This is mostly true. It could be, though, that the other schools have realized that there is a decent chance Texas may still bolt at some point in the not too distant future, so they need to strengthen their position to avoid getting screwed if (when?) that happens. We know first hand that you often get burned by letting the conference "power players" call the shots - see, e.g., Pitt insisting we turn down a (relatively) massive TV contract and then bolting at the first opportunity. That is a cautionary tale for sure. Hopefully they were paying attention.

I think if its texas its DOA - imo. But I would not think they would have to schedule an emergency meeting to kill it. This is all a lot of fun even if its fantasy....

Who was the other school? Texas? Baylor?

Perhaps the emergency is that USF has been invited to the B1G and the ACC, and the B12 is afraid they will to miss out if they don't offer quickly. More likely they are monitoring this board and they read a couple of posts from yesterday where some of us were having second thoughts about the B12.

Emergency meetings are not called when you invite a new member. So that sucks.
