deep down i think everyone knows this is true, i am begining to think USF-UCF this should be a yearly thing... I would say that the student support for USF is really GREAT right now, and these are the kids (like myself) whom are gonne fill up RJS in the next 15-20 years...We all have a lot friends who go to UCF, this just makes the series even funner. I wouldnt mind knowing i have a road game that I can always go to no matter what every two years... jeez dont you know were sooooo far above UCF : kinda funny that everyone but the students and the players dont see this as a real rivalry. agreed there are some bad apples in the greek system but there are some really good ones too. Now if those seats are empty it looks bad for the greeks who didnt show and SG for allowing a large portion of our attendence to hinge on a guy with a list of a few hundred names with no gurantee those peope will show.

So i cant criticize her because she wrote something good about the program?  I found the USF (un stoppable football) acronym corny and i dont think she is the best sports writer.  I thanked her for giving us some exposure and for the article i just dont dig on her sports writing ability. I dont see whats wrong with that.  Shes young in her sports writing career and if she continues to do these types of articles i think Bill Simmons would be a good model for her.  If shes worth her salt as a sports writer she will take all the constructive criticism she can get so she can improve and get a bigger and better column. exatcly and like i stated in another thread every restaurant provides service, you dont compliment the ones you go to who give you bad service do you?

Did you get tickets? If not why? Why did you not get in line earlier on day 2? Maybe the policy was flawed. (I am not saying it was or it wasn't) but we cant change it in the middle of a sale. If you wanted the tickets you would have gotten them. Actually because i have to move my out of my current residence and to a new one on saturday i cant attend this game. So this has nothing to do with me getting or not getting a ticket for $5 it has to do with a flawed ticket dispersion system that leaves fans that are obviously dedicated to this program out in the cold. Did SG provide a service? Yes they did it was just a really crappy one. Every restaurant you go to provides serivice but do you thank the ones that provide crappy ones? And yes those students who got turned away can get group rates through UCF or a $30 ticket but what about kids that cant afford $30 in addition to parking gas etc? There are kids in school that dont have a bank account that mommy and daddy dump money into (not saying you do just pointing out not every college student can spare around $50-$70 on a weekend). Also what are the group minimums to get the group rate through UCF? What if said student doesnt know enough people to get that rate? Face it SG messed up, like i said before SG provided a service it was just crappy and short sighted.

Ive been thinking the same thing. Shes nice and im glad she gave us exposure but a Bill Simmons she is not. Some may consider it blasphemous but during the UK UL game i saw a UL fan dressed in kentucky gear with a sign that said "We're Gunna Lose BAD!" it was pretty funny actually. Already alot of good suggestions in this thread.

Agreed but we shouldnt have to rely on a audible to to get the ball down the field. We have big and athletic WR's but Smith almost seens scared to put them in a position to succeed and make and impact on the game.

I think I am.  You seem like a smart guy.  You should know you'll get no where with straight forward, classless insults.  Be constructive, and strong and you won't need insults to prove you're point or gain respect. I am not a student anymore, for a while, but SG's deserves credit for the intention, and critiquing on the execution.  Insulting will only serve to insure they'll never do it again, or rather possibly only do it for Greek Organizations.  Point taken, that post was made out of frustration last night. Ive been alot more productive in other threads about the matter.

It seems like SG doesn't care about the individual student, as they said the ticket program was originally going to cater only to student groups.  exactly why there is so much backlash about this.

Most arent mad that they didnt get a ticket. What people are mad about is the lack of foresight to cap this and make it a EQUITABLE PROCESS, you know one thats fair to all students not just ones that are greek and in Orgs. I have previous engagements saturday (i.e. moving) so I cant even attend the game and im still irate about his. The SG should be making this fair to all students reguardless of affiliation. At the very LEAST the first two hours should have been capped then once the line died down the Greek and orgs could have came in and played clean up. Next time it should be 1 student 1 ID 1 ticket so the people that actually took the time out of their day to stand in line actually get a ticket or get a fair shot, not some schmuck who just gave his U number to his buddy.

So you guys would rather have created a buzz then made sure our best fans that were willing to actually stand in line and in some if not alot of cases skip class so they could be there to support our program get tickets? Yes you created a buzz, a buzz that a bunch of students are pretty irate about this whole situation. You shouldnt be looking at creating a buzz you should be looking at getting the most passionate fans in seats over at the citrus bowl! How passionate can you be about a program when you arent even willing to stand in line for a ticket? Mean while all those other kids were standing there wainting in line skipping class work ect just to go and support this program. Last time i checked the SG was supposed to look out for the good of the ENTIRE student body not just orgs and the greeks. For all the time i have been at this school it seems as though the SG panders to the greeks and the Orgs to secure their votes and really could careless about the average student at this school. You telling me to come submit an application is like when people say **** Grothe made a bad throw and someone turns to them and says you get behind center and do it. That approach gets nothing done but allow the poor performance to continue. How about instead of being passive aggressive about it and trying to blame us students for not submitting app and running, how about the people that are already there do their jobs and look out for ALL students not just select groups. Ah yes government in this country federal, student, local, where the politicians only care about you when its time to vote. Face it no matter how much you say you wanted to create a buzz which you did you guys blew this one and sent alot of passionate fans away while people who dont even care enough to wait in line will have tickets to this game. Steve Spurrier syndrome is why. The media loves when coaches do things like Spurrier's visor chucking while at UF and will show stuff like that at any given oppertunity. It does make your coach look out of control and immature when they are caught doing things of the like. Add that in with Levitts pretty much nonexistant skills in dealing with the media and you will have a hated coach.

THE SYSTEM WAS FLAWED AS FAR AS MAKING SURE THAT WE GET STUDENTS THERE THAT WANT TO BE THERE AND ARE PASSIONATE ABOUT THIS PROGRAM. If this dude had 300+ u numbers and those students really wanted to go THEN THEY SHOULD HAVE BEEN IN LINE JUST LIKE ALL THE OTHER STUDENTS THAT WERE WAITING THERE. Its not a matter of other people should have got their eariler. What if the one guy had 300 numbers and the next had u numbers for the remaining tickets, how in the world is a system that would allow a situation like that to happen fair? SG needs to get off their collective knees as they blew this one BIG TIME. needs to be said in this thread too

What BCS conference is UCF going to be picked up by?  Honest question, people. Pac10 -No Big 12- No Big 10 - No SEC - No, already at 12 members ACC - No, already at 12 members Big East - This is their only hope, and the commisioner has repeatedly stated there are no plans for expansion.  That would give them too many total schools, counting the B Ball schools.  Not gonna happen. So what conference are we to accept that UCF is going to join? Face it, the writer was right on the money.  Knight fans would feel exactly the same way we do if they were in the BE and we were CUSA.  And of course, we would be begging for a game with UCF and accusing them of ducking us.  No one is ducking anyone, we just have bigger fish to fry then establishing a series with a CDOA team.  We have nothing to gain, other than the nice crowds it would bring.  Lose, and the BE will continue to be bashed.  Win, and gain absolutely nothing.  The Knights would feel the same way if the roles were reversed.  They at least should admit that.  I would rather wait and have not true rivalry until one is established with a BCS school, whether it be UM or another school.  We are already on our way to establishing a rivalry with UL.  Establish one BE rivalry and one OOC BCS rivalry.  No more than 2 rivalry games are needed. unless your the gators, they amount of rivals they have is insane. ÂÂ

If UCF is not replaced by OOC games against top opponents this is a really bad decision. This game means alot becaues WE RECRUIT ALOT OF THE SAME KIDS!!! If your not playing top schools to build this program why replace it with a team of similar calibure or in those cases WORSE teams then an instate recruiting rival. Are people really that asleep at the wheel here?
