  1. In this short season, smazza has already called BB terrible, then gave him high praise. Seems he is back to terrible.
  2. I guess if you want to get technical we weren't inside the 30, we were exactly on the 30. I am not sure that makes the point invalid, but you are technically correct .
  3. I think the coaching staff has done a tremendous job. But if we have another 1st quarter 4 and out from inside our own 30 yard line I will go ballistic. PUNT THE BALL from inside your own 30. Is this such a difficult concept?
  4. LOL. One game and the firing calls begin. Who rationally could expect anyone to turn around the worst defense in FBS in one season? The defense has obviously been far better over the course of six games. It would be great if one time we could have a loss and fans could be rational.
  5. Yes and no. I think they have now limited the transfer portal so if you transfer a second time you have to sit out a year. So I think there will be some settling where it isn't quite as crazy the next couple of years. But the world has definitely changed.
  6. In my day an MLB roster had a long reliever, a couple of middle relievers and a closer. Do I think 8 man bullpens and relievers that come in for one batter and leave are ridiculous? Yep. So I think it is a weird rule, but anything to keep a manager from parading in RP after RP is ok in my book. If you aren't good enough to face more than one batter, you should not be a pro pitcher. Your arm won't fall off. Nowadays a SP gripes about pitching more than 5 innings. Suck it up, man.
  7. As others have said, baseball I understand. 162 game season and games that should take 2 hours were creeping to 3 1/2 hours. That is a lot of time over the course of a season. NCAA football is a dozen games per year. More of an event, in that case I agree - who cares how long it takes?
  8. Man, I hope the SEC refs don't screw us over with that one call that is the difference between us winning and losing.
  9. Maybe not the greatest refs, but we deserved most of those penalties and maybe a few more. It is the biggest thing we need to fix.
  10. Both. Father of DJ Uiagalelei responds to Dabo Swinney, stance on NIL, transfer portal WWW.ON3.COM .
  11. I saw video of them catching passes during camp. We shall see, but a couple of grabs last night.
  12. The chance to play, the chance to be the class that turns it around, new stadium, NIL. Shoot, Clemson does not want to pay any players anything.
  13. Throw more to the TEs. Heard about them all offseason and invisible against WKU. Get those big boys involved with the tough catches to open the WRs!
  14. I was thinking of feigning injury, but I decided I did not want to own that travesty.
  15. True story. I went to the USF game there one year. Waiting in line for the restroom (which they don't have nearly enough of), a bolt came flying down from somewhere in the upper deck and landed about a foot away. I and a few others were very close to serious injury.
  16. "I have wasted a good 45 minutes by objecting to half of these proposals, but I want to respect the committee's time, therefore I will only speak another 20 minutes on this particular subject."
  17. Ah, it seems all of the questions that are dragging things out seem to be coming from the new Board member. Said board member seems to always want accountability for money.
  18. I was a bit premature. Someone forgot that the budget committee was also supposed to meet. I'm not really sure what they are discussing, but there seems to be a lot more discussion and dissention about these topics. So we are not officially official yet.
  19. Does it go to the full board today, or is that yet another meeting? Also of note, WW said he expects the ultimate loan rate to be lower than what was indicated in the proposal, based on his discussions with the lender.
  20. We are now far from the thread topic, but I will add one more fact. The last sale was conducted in February of this year, and later this year and into 2024 the reserves are beginning to be replenished.
