  1. Oh I'm not ripping you.....just wondering if he really has a scholarship offer for next February. If so it says a lot about his ability.
  2. How is this kid a re-commit? He never signed a scholarship LOI and was supposed to be a walk-on this Fall. He may be a preferred walk-on but I can't see USF using more scholarships on a walk-on WR who the coaching staff hasn't yet seen play. Unless the kid was way under-recruited b/c of grades and the run dominated offense of armwood I can't see this kid being counted as a new verbal.
  3. great....a ucf fan gets to tell USF fans what to do... this site can be so phucked up sometimes. :
  4. Any poll that has central florida beggars college ahead of usf is essentially worthless.
  5. still debating....this might one of those last minute 'winging it to Penn State' type of decisions for me. My problem is that I don't want to blow my travel budget when I could fly to UL and WVU for more meaningful games.
  6. Reed on the rise Coach John Harbaugh was impressed with the work of J.R. Reed on special teams Sunday. "He played really fast and aggressive," the Eagles' special-teams coach said. "As a [kickoff] return guy, he had the one return where he really hit it up in there well. There wasn't much room, but he got some good yards and made some good decisions on the punts." Reed, attempting to return from a severe leg injury that cost him the entire 2005 season, returned one kick for 19 yards and had to fair catch two punts. He also played aggressively on defense at safety, registering two tackles and breaking up a pass. "It's a great story," Harbaugh said. "I hope it's yet to be played out." http://www.philly.com/mld/inquirer/sports/15228904.htm
  7. dude....there was one breakdown...ONE breakdown, and that was enough for UCONN to capitalize. USF should have won that game despite not showing any offense. That Voodoo 5 call will haunt us until we can win the BigEast. to blame the defense for that game is just plaing stupid...then that really hasn't stopped you before.
  8. Hopefully, he won't get the opportunity to hit the field for another two years. Brohm needs another year of seasoning in the college game before going to the NFL. Which would be good for the BE as a whole and USF since we seem to have his number.
  9. Rutgers & UL boards... http://rutgers.rivals.com/forum.asp?sid=988&fid=487&style=1
  10. latest buzz has him going to Louisville according to Beck's own webpage.
  11. I think we still take another QB.... Chris Hart?
  12. Best start to recruiting ever! Quality not Quantity. USF is going to have the luxury of being really selective this FALL in recruiting. With early verbals becoming the new trend it's going to force kids to make decisions earlier or risk losing out on a scholarship.
  13. I like ET's post on the SPT blog: Welcome to Tamplona AV!
  14. It's not about youth or maturity it's about talent. A good combo of young and old talent can win a lot of games if you have the right playmakers on both sides of the ball. For years we have had playmakers on the defensive side of the ball (Woods, Henry, Reed, Nicholas) but on offense we haven't had a balanced set of player makers since Blackwell and Rubin graduated. Fisher and Hall were electric playmakers but they didn't have any help throwing the ball. Beside
  15. Isn't this our third go around for DTs from Garden City? Anyone remember Antonio Searcy and Frank Harry? I think the third time is a charm....
  16. http://www.tbo.com//bulls/MGB8NUNGOQE.html Interesting stuff but your typical first couple days of camp stuff.... However how many posts do you think this innocent little quote is going to generate:
  17. Why is this important to you.....are U looking for fresh material?
  18. there was a mention on the nebraska board that ucf is interested.
  19. Tell me if you have read this before: RU Looking To Teel For Leadership This next season may very well come down to one thing, the quarterback position. With proven players at the skill positions on offense, a mostly veteran offensive line, and a well-experienced core of linebackers and defensive backs, RU USF appears to be in good shape heading into 2006.  However, noticeably missing from the list of positives are the defensive line (largely inexperienced or thin on depth) and the quarterback position. Now, it is Mike Teel's **insert USF QB of choice** turn to show that he learned through his experience last season and is prepared to demonstrate consistency.
