  1. Wild 98.7 and 93.3 . . . . yeah not my demographic I forgot, I did put a letter in an envelope under my pillow asking fans to come out. Real - not sold attendence with no Noles and no Gators as an excuse was about 1/2 of announced wasn't it? Gurl: What is your explanation to the PITIFUL attendence then?
  2. Here is the fricken thing, I dont have to guess what they did to promote the game. Its not a mystery. Marketing should be aimed at the market, like a giant spotlight everyone should see it. What did you see to promote the game? Times (free) ads and thats about it. What about some TV spots? What about a promotion like free tickets on the radio or ch 44? Lemme see . . . . WHAT ABOUT SOME COACHES OR PLAYERS ON THE LOCAL NEWS!!! (also free) Ask yourself, "What did I see that let me, and the casual fans know that I should be at the game?" The answer: nothing. Which is what was done. I think you will see the same for WVU, why would it change now its been like this since day 0ne. Oh yeah you wanna talk about what they can do to keep Leavitt? Put some asses in the seats is probably #2 or #3.
  3. Yeah, the fans coulda/shoulda have shown up but isn't it incumbent on the school to promote the program? Shouldnt they have maybe TRIED to get the students to come out and see the team get bowl eligible? Maybe its me.
  4. Dustin Grutza (Fr) and Haruki Nakamura (So) are two tough and gutsy players and without them on the field Saturday Cincinnati would have been blown out. I look forward to seeing these two youngsters on the Bulls schedule in the future. (Nakamura reminded me of Verpaele, Kevin not Danny whom absence may be why the defense is 100% better)
  5. PJ did a great job Saturday, no other way to say it. He was accurate early and protected the ball throughout the game. Great Job PJ!
  6. Don't get you hopes up. Sadly, we can't even stampede into Raymond James.
  7. How about: "Ill see you at the crossroads *#@*#" Actually I think this one is pefect!
  8. I have been wondering why they haven't ponied up the money for a lot of things over the years. (good home opponents, marketing, facilites) Its getting better, but the new commitments/ they have made should have changed things. My first choice would be to keep CJL but I'm just saying that if he was to leave, USF being a member of the Big East would demand that they hire a first rate replacement.
  9. You are correct. If CJL leaves then USF will be put in a position where they have to committ that kinda cash, then maybe we can breathe easier when situations like this arise. Besides we may get an offense in the transition.
  10. It pains me to say this, but smazza is kinda right. Thank you Jim Leavitt for getting us here, you are the foundation and the engine that built the program. Now it isn't imperative - at any cost - to keep Jim Leavitt. We are in a position to survive losing CJL and may come out well if we can find a coach like Price, O'Leary that is looking to rebound.
  11. am I missing something it looks like TBA to me
  12. Yeah, about like they always look: Secret and Cloudy We dont even know AFTER the game has been played. Its a secret shrouded in an enigma.
  13. On the announcement of Kansas State head coach Bill Snyder’s retirement: “He’s a great man; a close friend. I don’t think anyone will impact college football anymore then he has. He did a tremendous job there. He’s a special person. I could never measure up to him; he’s a pretty impressive coach.â€Â
  14. "STAMPEDE" emails huh? Good idea. We should do calling/call-in campaigns too.
  15. Are Major Harris, Gino Torreta, Chris Rix or Ryan Leaf the best QB from their schools? Just like a .200 hitter winning the game with a walk off homer, and Willie Mays falling all over himself at the end of his career, if he does it PJ will be rembered for the body of his work.
  16. Thats right, we are in charge of fundraising, marketing AND now sports information. I doubt they take my e-mails seriously. One with the title SID would be another story. Sorry E.T., you are certainly not the target of my sarcasism but you are the most proactive fan as far as fundraising and marketing are concerned. Keep it up, Obi-Wan-E.T. you are our only hope!
  17. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Should!! AMEN!! LOL Will he ever be proactive . . . . . :'(
  18. Otis Dixon (one of my favorites of all time) is in his first year as Head Coach at Lakewood and has his own USF ties . . . Kevin Verpaele was over there this summer helping coach them up. http://www.lakewood-hs.pinellas.k12.fl.us/student.asp
  19. [reality] He is our #2 QB and [cliche]he is one snap away from #1[/cliche] so I think he should get more than one pass play in a blowout win.[/reality]
