The offense was fine if you have 2014 talent. The defense was gashed because they had been on the field forever
We had the ball for 7 more minutes than Houston and had 460 yards of offense.
People will complain about anything I guess...

If we lose to this UConn team we don't deserve a big bowl game

The offense was fine. We just really miss a running back who can complement Flowers.
4th and 24. Our defense sucks

I'm just trying to forget that 4th and 24

Just found it, Notre Dame keeps all the money if they get into the CFB playoffs:
https://chopchat.com/2016/05/14/notre-dame-football-not-in-acc-full-time-hurts-fsu-entire-league/
" Best of all, when Notre Dame makes it to a bowl game, they have to share that money with the ACC…unless it’s a College Football Playoff or New Years Six game (such as this past season’s Fiesta Bowl) in which case they get to keep all that money…something Clemson didn’t get to do even though they played for the national title. "
ND gets the average of whatever the other playoff teams get

Been saying that all year. The G5 will always get screwed with media, coaches, and playoff committee
Is there a G5 team you'd suggest should be in the top 10? Not busting balls, just being realistic.

The playcall to Tice was brilliant, the defense was completely tricked. There are so many variations for run plays.
Tulane also trounced a Tulsa team that lost to Houston and only lost to Navy in Annapolis by two. Tulane are no slouches this year.
Tulane lost to Oklahoma 56-14. They lost to FIU.If we really want to puff our chest out and ask for the country to look at us as a top 15 team, we have to kill them. Especially with our schedule as soft as it is.
-
Yeah...we went 7-0 with a slate of games that about 40% of college football would roll through.
-
Houston has a pulse, the rest of our schedule doesn't.
-
Took over a bad team and immediately lost his starting QB.
he'll be fine.
-
They're horrible. We roll them.

The system has been this way forever. (Taking out the fact that we were once in a BCS conference) the Mid-Majors/non-BCS/G-5 have always had the advantage.
I'd argue a team with a loaded schedule out of conference could have a shot of crashing the party.
Also, there will be a day of expansion, and the G5 will get its place at the table. That's why they're not burning bridges now.
Finally, It didn't seem to bother anyone when we were in the BCS...
-
Our projected schedule is ranked 135th in the country according to the Sagarin ranking. G5 will always create issues. Bad scheduling did ourselves no favors, not playing UMass might actually be favorable to us.

This will happen. It will take a few years, but it will happen.

UCF's wins are better than ours right now. That will change if we take care of business. We take care of business he'll have us in the appropriate spot.
i get the dislike for Baker, but not for this issue

I don't have an issue puttting UCF above us based on body of work. They killed Memphis, and a now tad less impressive Maryland.
our best win is Temple, and then a slew of really bad football teams.
It will work itself out

Any undefeated AAC team at the end of this season should be ranked higher than SDSU.. That would be unjust.! The argument would be a 12-1 AAC Team against an undefeated Mountain West team. This year I dont think that there is any quality in the conference after SDSU.
You sound like a SEC fan. If SDSU runs the table with their out of conference wins over Stanford, a middling Arizona state, and potential MAC champ in NIU along conference wins over Boise state and New Mexico they'll have a very strong argument.
It's early, but our out of conference could screw us in that scenario

That TCU pic is crap. Definitely not a sellout though. I saw upper corner seats pretty open on TV.
edit: found a view non TV side sparse

Not to be a ****, but SDSU went 11-3 last year with a bowl win over a Houston. They beat a really good Stanford team. They're pretty good, and would challenge us (and UCF and Navy) for the AAC title

They are good, but Cincinnati is also a really bad team this year. They only have 2 wins. One against Austin Pey and a real close win over Miami of Ohio.
The AAC has 4 quality teams and the rest are weak!
You must have missed the earlier conversation pumping Tulane as a good team

...and to think some were worried about playing Tulsa. Tulane, however, gives me some worry. They are playing really well.
They needed a BS call to beat Army

Tulane is looking very good early. Probably a team that will be bowling. Only losses were by 2 at Navy and at Oklahoma. Not a team to overlook looking ahead to Houston.
The fact that we're going to be pumping a **** Tulane team speaks volumes.

Getting upset about bowl projections a month into the season is kind of lame.
USF had this coming all season.

I was responding to the statement about defense being gassed because offense wasn't on field
Flowers snapped those balls early and our run game was canned. I'm not jumping on the coaches for this. Sorry.
