Original poster is wrong. We are losing almost everybody that made a difference this year, especially on the offense. We lose our 3 best pitchers. McClanahan, Pete, and AP are gone without a doubt. On offense we lose our two power guys with David Villar and Joe Genord. These 2 alone drove in around 100 runs this season. They will be drafted and they both will go. While Duke might not be a huge difference maker, he's a .330 hitter that got on base alot. That is a big chunk of our offense. We could also potentially lose Coco, Zech, Kyle Philips and Chatfield depending on where/when they get drafted. I'm hoping these 4 come back because we already will be thin, but if we lose a few of them we are a totally different club and will be in rebuild mode. Needless to say I'm not expecting any postseason next year.

I was there today, maybe the loudest it got was when they announced the Gainesville bracket and we weren't in it. Everyone was hoping for DeLand. When they announced the Tallahassee bracket and we werent on there, it was almost a given we were going to DeLand. What a great day with the baseball team. Plus USF paid for all of our lunches. Great wings, subs, quesadillas, salad, sodas, and a big cake to celebrate the team!

I've been a few times. The Mohls frequent that place before/after games. I think I'll make it over on Monday!

Wow, can't even close out the Bearcats. King has struggled recently. AP is over used in his role as closer, but Mohl doesn't trust anybody else. Hopefully we can steal this game back. Finishing 2nd in Conference would be a miracle season for us considering our pitching issues. Pete is the only guy we can trust. Hopefully he'll at least get us a W in the Tourney

I'm questioning Billy's moves over the last week or so. He could have reset his rotation with a week off. Could have started Pete on Friday night vs Wichita and then he could have started tonight. If you're not going to pitch Shane in this series, why not do that? Instead we lose a pretty big game and now we have to scramble to get a win in this series. I think we have to have Shane pitch tomorrow now. Nothing is guaranteed. If we get swept by UC, we fall to 6th in the league or worse. That is not an NCAA Tournament team finishing that low in this conference

South Carolina is one of the hottest teams in the country right now. But it would be nice to avoid Gainesville in the tourney. Give me Athens or Tallahassee any day.
