I thought he was referring to spencer. Spencer played the 3-3-5 , which is why we couldnt stop the run or a pass or without a pass rush. Strong/ Taggarys Dc played the 4 2/5 . I prefer the 4-3-4 or 4-2-5 with the hybrid stringer anyday over the 3 3 5.
Absolutely...I am not a fan of the 3-3-5. Now if done right, there can be success with it (See WVU during the RichRod years).

3 3 5 I believe.
4-2-5
Just now, BiggTipp said:4-2-5
He played a hybrid safety/linebacker position as the third LB/5th DB

He wants to start. I think he has three years left because of a covid year. HE has a cannon, but no chance to succeed here in this offense and bad oline. I wish him the best and hope he finds a new home. SO now CJS has only 1 QB left from his two years here. Something seems weird about that. HE was a passing game coordinator, he needs to be able to develop some QBS.
He was never a QB. I think the offense is missing a true QB Coach...one with experience playing QB at a high level. I know BJ is on staff as a QC Analyst for the Offense. Just don't know how involved he is in the QB room or on the field with technique. McClain reminds me of BJ in the way he throws.

Maybe three HS QB's coming in. The QB for Clearwater Academy International has an official visit set for 12/10 I think.
-
Seems like we are pretty full with O Linemen for now..20 on the roster and only 2 leaving from what I can tell. That may change. I think next year will see several OL coming in.

You will know the day after the Dec signing day… that is when the bloodletting begins for assistant coaches.
There is no need to fire anyone else that may have an expiring contract at year’s end….no severance pay. I imagine we will see some change…opportunities other places always show up this time of year.

Also Dad is retiring from what I remember.

Fortin needs to drop down a league... He would be a DII stud
I think to play right away he may have to…unless he got his degree then he is a Grad Transfer

Hey was there something about some UCF trash holding a sign about Q’s dead parents? If so does anybody have a pic?
-
I think they need a dedicated QB Coach with experience at the position. McClain’s mistakes in throwing and setting his feet reminds me a lot of BJ Daniels.
This kid will be so much more accurate if he takes a second to set his feet and not throw off his back foot.

Currently:
Total Defense: 18th
Red Zone Defense: 1st
Points Per Game: 18.18
TFL's and Sacks per game are not very impressive: 4 TFL/game and 2 sacks/game average

Interesting list...how was this populated?

I hate the slime green. I miss Leavitt's attitude. No gimmicks. Classic, traditional football uniforms and colors. Play like a real football team, look like a real football team while doing it. Off colors are just gimmicks, and ESPECIALLY when we're not playing well, it doesn't reflect well. Sure, I get the argument that the team should get a little leeway to show some swagger if putting up wins, but I would still rather we got back to that old school smashmouth attitude. We don't need gimmicky colors, we just smash mouths and hand out losses to opponents.
I feel like the slime isnt a gimmick when every sport at the school has multiple slime uniforms. If you havent seen either, it seems like every recruit that posts pics from their visits at USF are wearing a slime uniform...assuming that's their choice. To smash mouths we need better players. These young guys love a variety of uniform...uniforms matter to them...which matters WAY MORE than our opinion

How many people on here have looked at Leavitt's Defense at SMU before suggesting him? Just so you know, they are ranked 94th in Total Defense allowing 418 yds a game. No Thank You...I mean compared to the numbers the USF defense put up, that's an improvement, but No Thank You.

Well these important people ruined the program and she is gone. Bring back the godfather ! THERE IS NO WAY OUR DEFENSE WOULD BE THIS BAD.
Right! they would be 31 spots better. SMU's defense is ranked 94th nationally......Giving up 418.2 yds per game.

I like this idea. He seems to have been successful everywhere he has been. His investment into the program would not be questioned. I say he should be on the short list.

Change year to 2022. He is listed there

I believe Timarcus Simpson recovered the fumbled kickoff vs ECU
Jamari Stewart has been hurt all year
All except Yarberough are on the team. All have played except Stewart and Jones

My only memory of Mike White is him beating us in the Miami Bowl with freaking WKU, another step in our downward spiral….good luck to him but not a Bull in my mind
Well....he didnt play in that game as that was his transfer year not playing. The QB that destroyed us was Brandon Doughty. He was 32 of 44 for 461 yds 3 tds 2 ints.

at best 4-8...probably 3-9

For those complaining about the current recruiting class.
Go to the 44:40 mark of the video. Scott says that we have maybe 10 HS schollies and some transfer schollies to give out. I wouldn’t doubt if that has changed to almost all transfer portal. I see on Twitter that tons of players for 2023 and 2024 are being offered. Leads me to think the 2022 HS recruiting is very light.
Will Turner of 247 said November will be a very active month for USF. Still trusting the process. I don’t like the losses either but growth is present.

All people are going to see is the class rankings. These TP players don't factor into that grade. I guess they shouldn't because unless they have been playing, how do you rate them? We have TP guys coming in with big HS accolades and offer lists a mile long out of HS...just don't know.
I will say this formula worked very well for SMU so I'm here for it.
