He is a JuCo Transfer. I also thought we were going to get him originally but he initially committed to Mizzou. Then he was told there was not enough schollies and went back hunting. I think maybe USF had cooled off on him after his commit and looked elsewhere. Nothing factual to support this, just my opinion.

I do however feel there may be a couple rabbits pulled out of a hat tomorrow.

I think we may end up with Jae'vien  "Joker" Gill..JC DE that committed to Mizzou then learned they didn't have enough room for him. Was committed for 12 days before re-opening his recruitment. 

Also I think we get James Gordon IV. LB from Minnesota and originally from Plant City.

I agree. I did listen to some podcasts and watched some videos that suggested there is another layer of Big 12 expansion coming as well. The suggestion was there were three more schools in the mix but the Big 12 felt that was too much at one time. Those schools were USF, Memphis, and SMU. So who knows.

Maybe just wishful thinking on my part.

For a reason that I cannot explain, I feel as if we will never be a member of the Big 12. Again, I have no idea why I feel this way but when the smoke clears, I think we will be a member of the ACC. I know that may be way off base but I just have a feeling.

Sounds like he had some stuff going on personally…maybe took the Michigan job to focus a little more on those problems…then had to step away from that…the DA spot at UM is strange but look at all the “problem coaches” that went to Alabama as an Analyst and wound up back in the game.

I don't get the love for this guy. No Thanks....Have we not had enough of an experience with failures that are trying to rebuild their reputation (2017-2019 ring a bell). 

Give me a young hungry but proven DC like Rowe or Verpaele. Very successful where they have been and a desire to make USF better for more reasons than just a nice paycheck.

Not to mention if Diaz does become available, Im sure he will be a P5 DC within 24 hours. Remember Clemson just opened up at the DC spot. They pay their DC more than we pay our HC.

Yes. I think more of an issue with DL than anything. When they switched the scheme for UCF and the LB's blitzed a lot more, the Defense looked worlds better.

So based on the previous statement to your initial post, it was said that Marshall has a 48 ranked class, HOWEVER, the average recruit grade is lower than USF's average recruit grade. So is it quantity over quality thing with you?
