I really feel it will be a slaughter tomorrow...I'm hoping the dogs don't get called off until they are up 40+. They need the time together against live fire to gain continuity and confidence...No matter the score, starters play until at least the end of the 3rd quarter. Hoping for 63-10 or better.

Is there anywhere we can rewatch the game?
Search it on YouTube...there are several links.

I feel that I've defended CJS pretty well for the last 2 seasons. I understand that BYU is obviously a very good football team and this team is taking live fire snaps together with new OC/DC for the first time. I was even ok with knowing the team was probably going to lose...I just expected there to be change and see a competitive team.
I have NEVER left a USF game early...NEVER turned a USF game off early. I came so close to doing so this past Saturday. I was fired up at kickoff. Then the first snap happened...I thought "well that's a fluke play out of position, that will get fixed quick." That quickly morphed into 28-0...then 38-0. All the fun, all the build up, all the anticipation...gone. After the game I didn't listen to the post game interviews, press conference, scour twitter, or read articles after this one...I just turned it off. Never done that.
I used to spend Saturdays completely immersed into college football. Obviously kids and life cause that to scale back. We are building a house and living in a camper. Tons of projects to do before the house is done leaves little time to watch football, so I clearly chose to make the ONE game a week I sit through and watch completely be the USF game.
I am tired of watching this kind of game...this should not be happening. I know CJS has said (time and time again) this is not acceptable and the team is better than this...I don't know if they are...none of us do because they haven't shown it in several years.
I didn't attend USF, I just grew to love the football team and have adopted the other sports that I follow loosely.
I guess I'm saying all this to say I'll keep watching but **** is it getting hard to do so.

Congrats kid. I never heard of him and didn't see him on the depth chart. It shows he is listed as a senior. He seems to work his rear off to get on the team from coming on as a walk on. Hopefully his hard work is a part of improving this defense and showing the younger guys how to work to earn your keep.
This is all I can find on the kid.
2021: Appeared in 9 games during the year, including one start (at SMU)...totaled 5 tackles at SMU.
A walk-on who has worked his way up the depth chart and earned playing time in the USF secondary.EAST LAKE HS: Lettered three seasons in football under head coach Bob Hudson...graduated in 2018.
PERSONAL: Born June 14, 2000...the son of La’Shon Green and Solomon Green...his older brother, S.J .Green, was a standout receiver for USF from 2003-05 and went on to a standout career in the Canadian Football League, winning three Grey Cup Championships, making two CFL All-Star appearances and eight CFL East All-Star selections...has four brothers, S.J., Ryan, Jarad and Elijah.
GREEN GAME-BY-GAME
2021 Tackles (Total-Solo-Assists)
BYU (1-0-1); SMU (5-2-3); ECU (1-0-1)Great to see Legacy players!! I didn't know this either. That is also a big age difference. He was 6 when big bro left USF.
SJ Green played with Grothe his rFR season of 2006. Did USF get this wrong in the BIO? About one of their own Alumni?!?!?! In 2006 SJ Green has 20 catches for 328 yds and 2 TD's.....

What confuses me is that the other school isn't exactly light on QBs. Not sure how he figures he is in better shape next year to start there than here. But whatever works for him, I guess.

Forced Labor does not equal Human Trafficking.
Well it kinda does...at least according to the Federal Definition of Human Trafficking:
Federal definition: “(a) sex trafficking in which a commercial sex act is induced by force, fraud, or coercion, or in which the person induced to perform such an act has not attained 18 years of age; or (b) the recruitment, harboring, transportation, provision, or obtaining of a person for labor or services through the use of force, fraud, or coercion for the purpose of subjection to involuntary servitude, peonage, debt bondage, or slavery.” Trafficking Victims Protection Act of 2000 §22 U.S.C. 7102 (2008); Priv. L. No. 106-386, 8 C.F.R. §1003.19 (2008). (TVPA)

Holtz was doomed. Followed Jim Leavitt whose 8-9 win seasons were considered underperforming. Administrators wanted a "smiley-faced, hug first" policy. He had no chance as a football coach under the Woolard/Genshaft (me first) regime. Most of us would admit he was a good hire on paper. He was walking into a no-win situation.
Agreed. I liked the hire initially. A mystery to me how he was good before and after USF though....I think those two are the answer.

Well if we improve on either side of the ball it will be 100% because of them.
Maybe some of the new players coming in have something to do with that as well.

- Do you have a "favorite" conspiracy? Yes...(There is A LOT MORE to 9/11 than we know)
- What’s the most ridiculous fact you know? Roland Hooks was a back-up RB for the Buffalo Bills in 1979. They played the Bengals that year. In that game, he had TD runs on his first four carries of the game. He only carried the ball 5 times.

Guys help me out here. We have 8 RB and 8 QBs but still in some D positions we are only 3 deep.
Like, this is CJS year 3. No more excuses. If he has no depth this year at a certain position, it's no longer being green it's just not being good at roster management.
We have 22 DB's on the roster
We have 12 LB's on the roster with one signee not on campus yet...so 13
We have 13 DL's on the roster with another coming in the summer...so 14

The Daily Stampede did a podcast about the hire last night and watched some game film of when he was OC at Georgia St. opening drive against NC State. They went down the field and scored. Every play was a different personnel set. And something in the backfield we haven’t seen here in some time….2 RB’s on the field at the same time. We have a very talented RB room. No reason to limit their PT

Shaun King is not coaching right now. I think if he wanted to coach still, he would be coaching somewhere. Instead, he co-hosts a sports gambling show. Let's move on guys.
Just to be clear...I am not saying he CAN'T coach...

As a coach: -
St. Petersburg (FL) Gibbs HS (2006)
(Asst. Head Coach /Quarterbacks) -
St. Petersburg (FL) Gibbs HS (2008)
(Quarterbacks) -
South Florida (2016)
(Quarterbacks) -
South Florida (2017–present)
(RB)
Well, South Florida was 2017 to 2019.
So he has been out of college coaching for 2 years. Im not saying he would be a bad QB Coach but I dont want him as an OC. I also think if he really wanted to be in coaching that he would be coaching somewhere, just my opinion.

People saying no to Shaun King because he isn’t currently coaching, where was Shoop before we hired him?
In an Analyst position at Miami, fresh from a job at Michigan...has been constantly employed in the college game. What other college has King coached at?

Don't know how much he's making, but a step up to about $350K, higher level of playing, great city of Tampa and better recruiting ground?
Found an article from the 20-21 season that said his salary was $140k

Can we hire Shaun King already. Weis was trash!
You mean Shaun King who is not coaching anywhere right now?
You mean Shaun King who is now co-host of a sports gambling show?

It appears the new OC will more than likely be the QB Coach as well. I would like to see a former QB in that position. I think Weis is a football guy but I think these QB's will benefit from someone who played the position at a high level.
I like the Korn option. Not sure if we can get him though. He has been at CC for several seasons and has built that offense up. Maybe the desire to be the main OC will draw him, however I just read that CC's HC was his Coach at the DII school he transferred to when he left Clemson. Same guy gave him his first coaching spot at Charleston Southern then followed him to CC.

This is very different than the last coach who said we would not compete with the Big 3 for recruits...I think we will soon se the tide turning, starting next September. People complained that CJS couldn't recruit a lick when we had no commits. That was clearly because they did not know the plan was to attack the portal as hard as they did.
This shows they are going HARD in HS recruiting this next season.

I believe the HS recruiting is done for this cycle. Tons of '23 and '24 offers have gone out already.
CJS suggested Oline, Secondary, maybe another DE with some spots being held until after spring ball.

Last year I got to where I had to quit coming to the site with a few games until after NSD. If I can use that little feature and keep talking football with reasonable people, that would be great.

Kinda fun to ask...

Ill get a little creative...Fake the jet sweep to Horn to the short side...Bohanon and Mangum option to the wide side. Mangum gets the pitch and hammer down on a DB then runs for 30+ yards.
