  1. Let's get it trending! FSU has their "Fear The Spear" slogan, so let's throw it back in their face. ( I know the actual textbook definition of a steer isn't that flattering, but I don't think many others will know that)
  2. Ville will be Top 5, maybe top 3. We have no chance in he'll of being ranked. FSU will be somewhere between 13 and 17.
  3. Hopefully we add another score and don't let any more up. The voters will not have watched this game and will only see the final score. They can then compare our score to The Ville's performance against the Cuse on the road.
  4. Syracuse will end up running over 100 plays this game, maybe 110+....crazy
  5. We can reestablish momentum here and get back in the driver's seat. Just have to execute. They haven't been able to stop our backs, we should just keep running it.
  6. Everyone needs to take a deep breath and relax. The defense is playing soft by design. The type of offense Syracuse is running requires a soft defense or you will constantly get beat for huge gains.
  7. It looked like the receiver was bobbling that ball. Should be 4th and 3 if so.
  8. No issues in Tampa with Watch ESPN via Playstation Vue subscription. If all else fails you can try the free trial and then not renew.
  9. You miss the point of the posting of the Vegas odds. I posted them in response to the attack on Houston's performance and the perception that the voters might have with regard to Houston's performance in the game. I know the betting odds represent Vegas's attempt to get even money bet on both sides of the game, but it also illustrates public perception of each team's strength/weakness. Clearly, the betting public felt that this game would be decided by 2 scores. It would stand to reason that the voters would have a similar perception. I hope this clears up your ignorance over my use of the Vegas line in this instance.
  10. The game being close was an illusion. Houston was dominating them everywhere but the scoreboard. Cincy finished with 30 yards rushing on 25 carries....unbelievable! Houston has a two to one advantage in TOP, out-gained Cincy by 200 yards, and had 28 first downs to Cincy's 12. The only place that game was close heading into the 4th quarter was on the scoreboard. I do realize that is ultimately the only place that matters, but the final score was indicative of the way the two teams played.
  11. Their defense is legit. Offense was banged up and playing a tough Thursday night road game. They should have been up by 10 going into the fourth. I think we are better than Cincy, but beating them on the road might be tough.
  12. They have a Championship caliber defense, they just have to get healthy on offense. Their game against the Ville will be very interesting. I would love an undefeated or 1 loss USF to get a shot at them in the AACCG.
  13. Retraction? Although you might be right, they could be ranked anywhere from #2 to #6.
  14. My point was just that it wasn't an improbable victory for Oklahoma. Also, the line on the Houston game was -7.5. I don't think this performance hurts them at all. They really should be up by 17-20 points.
  15. Keep in mind that the line on this game was Houston -7.5. Thursday night road games are brutal. Survive and advance.
  16. When did they announce that the game had moved from Norman to Columbus?
  17. The line is -1.5, so I think "very unlikely" might be a bit of an overstatement.
  18. You can certainly mock with the best of them, but you didn't answer my question about Houston. Expect for the SOS, we could find ourselves in a similar situation to where they find themselves this season.
  19. Laugh all you want, but we could easily be positioned like Houston was to start this season. Say we lose to FSU close, but win out, including the AACCG and a NY6 bowl, finishing ranked in the top 10 and returning 20 out of 24 starters between offense, defense, and special teams. Houston was in the same position last season. Do you not think that Houston has a chance to play in the CFP this year?
  20. Any hope we have (and it is one slim hope) of making the CFP requires Houston to be undefeated going into the ACCCG. A 12-0 Houston with wins over Oklahoma (cheer for them to beat OSU) and The Ville (hope FSU is their only loss) against a 12-0 USF with a win over FSU (hopefully the eventual ACC champ) would be Yuuuuuuggggge! Winner would have a very strong case for the CFP.
