    I'm sure Coach Mac will at least complete the length of his contract. I would love to see Bob Huggins here but it will not happen. That will cost USF much too much money.

    I am a seventh grade math teacher at Ramblewood Middle School in Coral Springs, Florida. The College of Education at USF produces the most educators every year in Florida.

    Come on Steve Mazza we will do well in soccer. Also, if we replace Cardieri we will do well in baseball. Our softball team will also be very successful.

    I want to know why Franks was not named our offensive coordinator. Could he have been offered the position and turned it down? Or does Leavitt really believe Smith is the better man for the job?

    Favorite TV show-When I was a teenager I loved "The Invaders." Anyone remember this show? It was on in about 1967(I guess before many of you were born) I was sixteen. It starred Roy Thinnes as the only earthling who knew our planet was inhabited by aliens. The aliens looked just like us humans except they had a deformed right pinkie if I remember correctly and when they died their bodies burned up. My favorite show in recent times has to be Seinfeld. Oh yeah, "The honeymooners" (the reruns from the 1950's) were also hysterical. My favorite TV show mom- Betty Rubble. She was cute. My favorite TV show theme-"The Beverly Hillbillies". My favorite TV show hero- Superman (George Reeves). My favorie TV show villian-The Joker from Batman.

    My friend, Steve Mazza, makes an excellent point. Coach Cardieri is very fortunate to still be our head baseball coach. If schools like FAU, Stetson, and UCF can be highly ranked annually, so should USF.

    Deerfield Beach is indeed in Broward County. It is about ten miles north of Fort Lauderdale and about ten miles east of my city of Coral Springs. I am a Broward County teacher like Brent's mom. I can e-mail her via the school board ethernet mail. I would like to do so and tell her why her son should transfer to USF. Do you think that is a good idea?

    I went to a USF-FAU basketbull game at FAU in the early Seth years. Their gymnasium is not much bigger than a lot of high school gyms. FAU averaged less than 600 fans per home game last season. Doherty will have an almost insurmountable task ahead of him to bring interest to the FAU community. If he is somehow successful, he will be gone to a more viable program in the blink of an eye.

    Of course, Hobbie was forced to resign. If he wanted to "pursue business interests" he would have done so shortly after the end of the last football season. Carl Franks was an offensive coordinator at UF, correct? He will be our new OC.

    I'm concerned that the University of Miami will try to get coach Fernandez to become their head coach. He is a Miami native and the Hurricanes are looking for a new coach.

    University of Miami women's basketball coach, Fern Lebanti, was fired today. She was the coach for seventeen years. I would not be surprised if Jose Fernandez is a strong candidate for the new UM coach. He came to USF from FIU in Miami and I believe he is a native of that city.

    Why would Seth want to go from one ACC team to another ACC team? I doubt this story has much weight.

    If Julmiste is our quarterback starting against Penn State I will be extremely disappointed.

    Steve Mazza and I are friends. We were managers for the Basketbulls together in the mid 1970's. He called me today from Los Angeles around 5:30 p.m. He has been so busy with his law practice that he just found out a little earlier today of our victory over Cincinnatti. He asked me who we were playing tonight. Anyway, I guarantee he will soon be posting on this board again very soon.

    Tonight Oakland University (I think it is in Michigan) beat Oral Roberts (the university not the man) in the Mid-Continent Conference championship game. Big deal you say. Well, they were 9-18 heading into the conference tournament and won the whole thing to get an NCAA bid. It will probably be a play in game. If Oakland University can do it why not our basketbulls? GO USF BULLS!!!

    You're welcome, hightech bull. By the way, I was a statistician on the Basketbulls in 1975 when my friend, Steve Mazza, was a freshman manager on the team.
