  1. I was there as well and thought they did a great job.  We were also represented pretty well in the stands...lots of fans wearing Bulls gear (at least where we were sitting).
  2. ??? Who did we just read about that had a $3.5B economic impact to the area?! The Bulls might not be "champions" at this point in time, but we're certainly rising stars!  We should be on that sign before any freakin' Yankee!!!!
  3. Both are just microcosms of the entire, vast Bulliverse.
  4. I wanna say that Harris was one of the big co-op providers during my ETK/MIS days (88-93).  And I would think that many who did that stint woulda been invited to stay on board.  Any of you guys do this? (I might be getting my defense contractors mixed up, cuz I know there were others.) I co-op'd with the Hills. County Clerk of Court myself.  Good times.... For you current students wanting to get some real work experience in your field, check out the co-op and intern opportunities at the Career Center.  Can't beat it!
  5. Agree with everything he said. He was warning that USF may not be invited to another bowl game if our turnout is low. This would only happen if we were bowl eligible again, the BE had more teams eligible than the number of tie-in bowls, and a bowl *opted* to choose somebody else over us....right?
  6. ETKbull...Sounds like you got your degree in ETK back in the day when they had it?  I was in the program, but had to switch when they decided to can it, so I switched to MIS in COBA (93 grad). I'm a DBA as well.  Good to see we're representing well here ;-)
  7. They've got some nice green USF hoodie sweatshirts over there for $19.99.  Bought a couple for the son and niece.  Excellent quality, and feels good too.  And of course half the freakin price of sweatshirts anywhere else! http://beallsflorida.com/page?name=page-shop&styleid=64457 They've got 'em in stock at the Brandon store.  Perfect for a roadtrip up to Charlotte...
  8. Sure they do.  It's all hanging on the wall on the other side of the sales counter, towards the back.  Unfortunately it's mixed in with the Gator, Nole & Cane crap, but it's there.
  9. Sports Fan Attic in the mall. A bit more cost effective than the stuff at the bookstore.
  10. I was wondering the same thing.  I thought it was some term for a kangaroo (since that's their mascot and what's on their helmet).  But I found this: http://www.uakron.edu/colleges/faa/depts/sslpa/faculty/Zippy.php
  11. That was a helluva game, and one helluva finale.  That touchdown catch was unbelievable. There couldn't have been more than a 1000 bodies in the stands...for a championship game?!?!?
  12. And what time will the Deja Vu lapdance bus be there? ÂÂ
  13. Hmmm...Bulls gear for under 10 bucks?  Someone mentioned this store in another thread awhile back, and it just so happens one is moving into the JC Penney's space: http://tampatrib.com/Business/MGBQLTAKBGE.html
  14. Steve Otto reflecting on last week's losses...with a beautiful finale. http://tampatrib.com/MGBFQDZ43GE.html
  15. Trent Dilfer took the Ravens to the Superbowl a few years back, and despite his excellent character certainly wasn't considered a "great" quarterback and was promptly given the boot after the season. If we get to a BCS bowl, it will be a team effort, and you'll see other names thrown out there as our star players...with Andre topping the list!
  16. Bullieve it or not, they actually did pass out USF thundersticks for the USF@Pitt game in the Sundome. Wonder if this will be something we'll see more of at BB games?
  17. Bill G wasn't the only one!  Saw in the Trib this morning, but here's the scoop from the Storm website: http://www.tampabaystorm.com/storm/sub.cfm?pageid=1322
  18. I saw the response, and certainly buy it as well...but I think it went to the wrong audience.  Not that many students and alum on the faculty/staff distribution list.  Did we just get chastised for something we didn't do?  I'm sure it'll make it to other outlets though.
  19. If Vinny can get called back, maybe in due time one of the brothers will get a knock on their door.
  20. Used to park at the old mall.  Going to my first game this season. I hear that mall lot parking is up to $20 now.  Anybody know if HCC, the business park across from the mall, or anywhere else is cheaper? Grassy arse.
  21. I think it's ridiculous to advertise this game on a medium that's not even available in the area.  It sure ain't on RoadRunner or Verizon DSL, which probably accounts for 90% of the bay area coverage. I sent a note to Chris Lahey, Gen Mgr of ESPN Regional, asking for outlets or ISPs that actually carry ESPN360 (no response yet).  If anybody can tell us, you'd think it would be them!  The contact info: http://gobulls.usf.edu/admin/directory.htm Hell...You'd think there'd be some kind of "cyber cafe" or something with the right broadband hookup that we could raid for a watch party  :-/
  22. I was also curious how the OB compared to Legion Field? I thought that place was a major dump as well. Even the Bama fans apologized to us for having to play them there!
  23. Yup...5 thru 7.  And likely the ones around Al Lopez: http://www.buccaneers.com/rjs/parking.aspx Probably limited to the south lots due to the festivities at Al Lopez starting at 2pm (coincidentally): http://tampabaysports.org/special_events/events.php
  24. I expect to be there with the family, and hopefully with a few other alum/staffers!
  25. Here's a couple of great sources to get you started: http://4wheeldrive.about.com/od/tailgatingacc/l/bltailchecklist.htm http://www.tailgating.com/default.htm I always bring a canopy for rain & sun protection.  And definitely a bunch of those nylon folding chairs.  Never tried a TV. As for food...Dogs & sausages are always easy for grilling onsite.  Ditto with wings.  If I don't want to mess with the grill at the tailgate, I'll do it earlier in the day and just bring in the heated food. Bean/taco dips are also easy.  A crockpot of melted Velveeta with jalepeno relish or salsa has always been a hit for us (with the required chips).  As is chili...esp in the cold season. If storage is the key, just about any kind of finger food you can think of that can easily be chased down with a beer or coke will do the job.  Vodka and tequila jello shots also store easily in a cooler as well  ;D
