i see your point...and i think you are right in the fact that the attendence numbers for both games will be inflated a little bit because its the first ever tomorrow and next year will be the first in toontown. we need to have some kind of in-state annual game and i doubt we will be getting UF, FSU, or UM to committ to an annual series anytime within the next 3 seasons.

only way this wont turn into a rivalry in my opinion is if the games are not competitive. if we go out and win both these games by 30 points (which would be great but i dont think it will happen) then it will flame out and die. but if the fans come out, which we know they are for tomorrow, but if they support the game next year too...its hard to walk away from 40-50,000 fans for a game that at worst is only 100 miles away. id much rather have UCF on our schedule instead of FAMU or another non-d1a school.

anyone watch the halftime show of the Houston vs UTEP game? they talked about the big 3 all having huge games this weekend. then the host says something about 'and thats not including USF vs UCF' then mark mays says 'thats not even on my radar' or something to that effect. the host responds with 'well its a rivalry game' face it bulls fans...this IS a rivalry game for us. UCF might not be on our level right now and we may have traveled thru the rankings a lot faster than them...but they arent going anywhere and neither are we. both programs will continue to get better and UCF will eventually be one of the top teams in C-usa in about 5 years. Until USF becomes a sure shot to go bowling every year we c annot say we are too good to play anyone annually. i know, i hate the UCF fans with the rest of you, but thats part of college football. you think UF and FSU fans don't talk trash ALL year long. GAME TIME TOMORROW!!! I cant wait. It should be a real good game with a lot of emotions out on the field and in the stands. just glad I am going to be a part of it. GO BULLS!!!

TripleB, i was at the Bookstore today around 3 pm and it was filled with students buying USF gear. All the USF vs UCF shirts are sold out. I dont know how many they printed but i would imagine it was 1000 atleast. The students will be rocking. we might run out of room in the student section and have to some sit with you donors. anyone got an extra seat for me? ;D

thats nothing... i was at the USF bookstore today, all of the USF-UCF game shirts are sold out. They are white and have the two team logos printed on ticket stubs in the front left corner and on the back it says "you never forget your first time" i was there at about 3:30 and the lines were long with people buying gear

i wonder how many people are reading this and thinking we got Mr October as our hitting coach

i dont get where UCF fans think that USF doesnt care about this game. Our students CAN"T WAIT for this game. this is a prime example. Less than 24 hours till i start tailgating!!!

yea this might be the first game that students could get turned away at the gate and have to go buy tickets

dont willingly and knowingly put a knight in the usf student section. you are just asking for trouble. ive seen bulls fans fight bulls fans in the student section. who knows what would happen to a knight

exactly, when the ucfers cant argue they ignore. Kizarvexis just put them on blast. no ucf fan in their right mind can combat those stats.

i think the people that are trying to down play it are doing so out of a little arrogance. they want to think that our program is so far above UCF that we shouldnt get excited to play them. Kinda like 'o well its just the UCF game we have much bigger fish to fry' sure, this isn't our most important game of the year and it surely isn't our toughest game of the year but it might end up being the most gratifying. if for nothing else but to shut them up for a year. I cant wait for the game. about 66 hours until kickoff!!

geez the UCF fans dont even have their stadium yet and they are already talking about expanding...

about the 38.000 for the FAMU...i talked to a few students and i was told that at one of the student gates the ID scanner wasn't working very well and they said the 4 of them in their group just showed their IDs and didnt get their cards scanned. I don't remember if students still walk thru turnstiles at the student gate (everytime i went thru as a student i had a few in me and can't quite remember) but if even one of the student gates was not counting attendence that could change the numbers by atleast 1,000 maybe 2. has anyone else heard any similar stories?

yea I was at the FAMU game too...and if the lowel section truely does hold 41,000 then I do not see how it was under 40,000. They might of been 2,000 empty seats spread throughout the lower bowl but there was quite a bit up in the 3rd level as well. as for the 3rd level tickets being distributed to UCF students...i believe it.

FYI...the Upper Deck is usually only opened up for group sales at first. THey are saying the upper deck got opened because the 2nd allotment of UCF student tickets are in the 3rd level.
