Just seems to me that if you have 40 million come in, USF (and other BE schools) should see some monetary compensation...

with Pitt and Syracuse each dropping 7.5 million, TCU throwing in 5 million and WVU giving (not sure if true) 20 million... How does the 40 million break down? Does USF benefit at all? SHOW ME THE MONEY!! Go Bulls...

That's a bit of twisting smazza, USF will earn significantly more money then what it makes today with the playoff format, and eventually the new TV contract... but it is true that the gap between the "power conf" and the new BE will widen. That's were it will hurt long-term...

Says he turned down Miami and Oklahoma for UCF on the ESPN ticker... ok then...

Speaking of season tickets, just heard people buying block seats are being told it's slim pickings on lower level seats for the FSU game, and upper deck is only option for bigger parties.. I hope at least some USF fans are snatching these up!!

Would love the rematch, but could easily be a rematch of USF vs FSU as well... would love to go to at least 1 of these BCS bowls before it's over.

Talk about pessimistic. Boise State is in freakin' Idaho. Little money, a TV market no one wants and one of the lowest conferences in the nation. And they made themselves a national brand. Granted, not at the top yet, but look how far they have come. USF is one of the largest universities in the nation in one of the top TV markets in a much better conference. An undefeated season or two and we'll be talked about continuously. If the big conferences keep expanding, USF is in the mix. If the big conferences don't expand, USF won't disappear. Big East football won't disappear. All it takes is one magical season to get into the conversation. It was ridiculous to think that our rise to #2 was sustainable. We did not have nearly the depth of talent. We had a couple of seasons where the right players turned out well and we managed to stay healthy long enough to pull out some early upsets. Go back through our recruiting seasons on year at a time and it will incredibly obvious that this team is far more talented from top to bottom than the team was four or five years ago. That will begin to show, and one year soon the right combination of players and lack of injuries and we'll have a 10 or 11 win season and be right in the thick of the national conversation again. Rome wasn't built in a day. unless usf gets in the big 5 usf will never ever reach #2 again Not true at all, you get to be number 2 by who you play and who you beat, not what conference you play in... If our OOC games are with highly ranked opponents and we beat them (say FSU #3 and UM #10) and we get some help with other schools losing, it can happen easily...

FSU's Defensive line will cause problems, how BJ reacts will be the biggest deciding factor IMO...

I don't think USF has lost it's luster, just that the sun isn't shining on us right now... like what's being said on threads above, winning will help more then anything else!! We need to make ourselves relevant by winning and causing issue for those schools "above" us. If we can make it happen, and rise above all this BS that goes on in College Football, we will land on our feet. Lets go out and win the BE (what's left of it) and make a statement! Go Bulls!! (please inject Braveheart, Remember the Titans or Rudy moment for added emphasis)

Seems like an interesting prospect, I'm sure the coaching staff is doing it's Due Diligence on this one...

FYI, went today and sizes for all POLO's are VERY limited... mainly Small's and XXL's left. They have been picked over nicely so far. Now, those who want to get footballs and helmets for signatures, now is the time, some good prices on those!!

Will certainly be an interesting fellow to watch over the next few years!

I think we have to ask ourselves, what would be more appealing to the public, the BE champ, or a 2nd place SEC school/ND combo... I think the BE gets left out, hope I'm wrong.
