  1. 79 Bull: I think I can help clear some of this up for you. The lower two sections seats about 42,000 people. We have currently only opened the upper deck so that the 600 UCF students could sit together, at this point there was nowhere in the lower sections with 600 tickets together. As far as the expected attendance is concerned, keep in mind that we don't sell single game tickets between the 20's to protect our donors who make a contribution and purchase them as season tickets. It wouldn't be fair to have someone buy them on a single game basis and sit next to a $2,000 annual donor who buys 8 season tickets. This accounts for some of that. We do sell those seats to groups that purchase 20 or more tickets to help fill in the gaps. But that will account for some of the discrepancy. Add those seats to the 10,000 student seats plus the seats that are still available and you'll get closer to that number. Hope that helps. Eric
  2. Oh boy, sorry about dropping the ball on that one. You can order media guides by calling the 1-800 number. $20 each and we accept check or credit card. Go Bulls! Eric
  3. 2 p.m. for remainder of season. I started a new topic on it as I didn't see this but saw the question in a couple other threads. Cincinattin will be at 9 a.m. with the 12 noon kickoff. Go Bulls! Eric
  4. Hey Everyone: I posted this last week but apparently there seems to be some confusion from folks that just started paying attention this week. The south tailgate lots will open at 2 p.m. for the remainder of the night games throughout the season. These are the donor lots with some general parking in the back. The north tailgate lots will open at 4 p.m. For the Cincinatti game, all lots will open at 9 a.m. If you have any questions about this, you know where to reach me. Thanks and Go Bulls! Eric
  5. Just letting everyone know we have decided to open the south tailgate lots at 2 p.m. for all remaining home games except of course Cincinatti, which will open at 9 a.m. Hope to see a large gathering each and every game. Thanks everyone and Go Bulls! Eric
  6. Not yet. In another week or two. Patience. Eric
  7. Matt's putting words in my mouth, sort of. We are trying it out for the FAMU game and seeing how it works. We hopefully will be doing it for all the 7 p.m. games this year but nothing has been finalized for either the UCF or Louisville games. Eric
  8. Just as an FYI, the Bull Backers are not a sponsor of the watch party, it is sponsored by the Bulls Club and the Alumni Association (Pinellas Chapter), the Bull Backers will be in attendance at that particular location. There seems to be some confusion on this and as the Bull Backers know, we need to keep them separate from any institutionally sponsored events, per the NCAA. Thanks for your time! Eric
  9. bump....If there's any way we can sticky this that would be of great appreciation. Thanks. Eric
  10. Flip: It will be on ABC 28 but also on ESPNU for those that don't live in the Greater Tampa Bay Area. I believe it will also be on ESPN GamePlan for those that don't have access to ESPNU or ABC 28. If none of those options work, you can listen on the internet at www.gousfbulls.com. Eric
  11. We don't have any one currently volunteering to run the watch parties in Pasco County so there isn't necessarily an official one although I think we will still have a lot of people go there. Orlando is working on one at Murray Brothers Caddyshack. Kevin Krause is working on that as well. Eric
  12. Ladies and Gentlemen: It is with great pleasure that I announce the locations for this years USF Football watch parties. Please keep in mind that we will hold watch parties at each of these locations for any away televised game (with the exception of it being on satellite coordinates only). Anything that is on local television, ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, or GamePlan should be fine. Please try and make it to one of these locations for next weeks Penn State game. 1.Clubhouse Sports Café 5611 E. Fowler Ave. Tampa, FL Contact: Chris Lau (lau2@mail.usf.edu) 2.Lee Roy Selmon’s Restaurant 4302 W. Boy Scout Blvd. Tampa, FL Contact: Tony Holbrook 3.Bedrock Café 3120 South Florida Ave. Lakeland, FL Contacts: Chris Waring (chris.waring@hotmail.com) or Dawn Lengel (lengel@admin.usf.edu) 4.Gecko’s Grill & Pub 4310 S.R. 64 Bradenton, FL Contact: Derek Williams (dwilliams@moseleyinvestment.com) 5.Midtown Sundries Restaurant & Sports Bar 200 1st Avenue South St. Petersburg, FL Contact: Tom Hochadel (thochadel@arc-cro.com) or Katie Giglio (kgiglio@spadmin.usf.edu) 6.Capognas Dugout 1653 Gulf to Bay Blvd. Clearwater, FL Contact: Gene Haines All of these events are sponsored by the USF Bulls Club and the USF Alumni Association. My special thanks to all of those that have volunteered to help run these and give away USF gear at the events. This doesn't inlcude locations such as Atlanta, Miami, Philadelphia, and Arizona (just for you Brad) that may be holding a watch party for one game or isn't really organizing an official watch party. As always, if you have questions, you can post them here but you are better off emailing me at soncrant@admin.usf.edu. Thanks again everyone. ARE U READY! Eric
  13. Hey Jim: It's something I'm sure we would be open to. It would need to go through us though if you are going to use any of the official logos. There's nothing stopping someone from handing out gold t-shirts at the PSU game as long as they don't use the official logos without permission. If you know of someone we can certainly work with them on some things. Thanks Jim. Eric
  14. Hey Guys: We are closely monitoring the weather and will make a decision on Fan Appreciation Day soon. Unfortunately the Sun Dome is not an option as it is used as a Hurrican Shelter, which means we would not be able to use the facility if we canceled Fan Appreciation Day due to a hurricane/tropical storm. In addition, we will not want to be encouraging people to come out for an event in weather that bad. Safety first. Sorry to be a wet blanket. We'll keep you posted though on the situation. Eric
  15. Hey Guys: Just here to confirm we will not be supplying shirts for fans in attendance at PSU.  We have at two games that I remember in the past (OK, AL) but are focusing our limited budgets on other projects (such as building a few new facilities that we are in desperate need of...see Softball, Baseball, Soccer, etc.). I don't know of any other major program in the country that provides shirts for their fans when they go to a football road game.  Some will do it at a home game, but I don't know of any instances of it being done at a road game except the two times we have done it. I would encourage everyone to wear green and gold and we will hopefully in the future look at doing the shirt giveaway on occasion.  Thanks everyone for your support and we will see you at PSU. Eric P.S. We have sold between 600-700 tickets plus the tickets provided for student-athletes which gets us right near 1,000. FYI!
  16. You guys kill me! That's awesome. Keep up the USF poll publicity machine. Eric
  17. Hey Everyone: We are finalizing the watch party locations but here is a quick preliminary list with my confidence level we will be there: St. Petersburg - Midtown Sundries (50/50, making sure they can get all games) Clearwater - Capognas (100 percent sure) Tampa - Clubhouse (100 percent sure) Tampa - Selmon's by International Mall (100 percent sure) Sarasota/Bradenton - Gecko's (I think on 64, 90 percent sure) Polk County - TBD Pasco County - we haven't set anything up officially but the Beef's mentioned previously we've had good crowds up at. Hope this helps everyone. Thanks so much and I'll keep you posted. Eric
  18. We haven't sent out Miami tickets and cow bells and noisemakers are not allowed. Sorry guys. Eric
  19. We've sold close to 400 plus another 300 for team comps. Our travel party will be around 1,000. I believe our most ever was aroun 1,500 for Oklahoma. Eric
  20. We will be sending out the Penn State tickets tomorrow (Friday) and wanted to clarify something before you get yours and completely freak out and wonder what we are doing. Penn State does something a little different with their seating. The aisle goes up the center of each section. Looking up at the section from the field, the even numbered seats (2,4,6,8, etc.) are to the right and odd (1,3,5,7, etc.) are to the left. Seats 2,4,6,8, etc. are consecutive seats next to each other and seats 1,3,5,7, etc. are consecutive seats next to each other. What this means is your tickets will either all be odd numbered seats or even numbered seats. They are next to each other so please don't think we've completely lost it. If you do have questions though, don't hesitate to call the Bulls Club. Thanks everyone. Eric
  21. We do still have some seats available for all of our road games but will soon have to start sending back unsold blocks. If you plan on going to any away games and have yet to get your tickets through USF, call Amabel in the Bulls Club office at (813) 974-4223. Go Bulls! Eric
  22. Hey Everyone: The Bull Ring will be a USF themed sports bar. A pretty nice one. The owners have talked with USF about a lot of things as they want to partner with us. I know they have talked about running shuttles to and from campus to the restaurant. We will look at it as another place to do watch parties but we don't want to alienate those that have been supporting us throughout the years just because something bigger and brighter comes along. Last I hear grand opening isn't going to be until November or December but who knows. We are excited about it and look forward to having events there as well. Go Bulls! Eric
  23. Hey Everyone: Two things: 1) The Bull Ring will not be open for football season. The last I heard was December at the earliest. We've talked to them about a number of things and I'll keep you posted. 2) The USF Beef O'Brady's is under new ownership. We have talked to the new owner and will look at ways to partner with them. We will continue to do watch party's at the Clubhouse because Mike has been great to us but will find other ways to partner with Beef's. We've gotten over it and I think you all should to. Go Bulls! Eric
  24. Hey Guys: Didn't mean to cause a stir with perhaps some poorly chosen words on my part.  I think most of you know that I don't mind people criticizing us as long as it is constructive.  I don't think we know everything and if we aren't willing to listen to the fan base that we rely upon to financially support our program, then we aren't doing our jobs. I used the defense term with some sarcasm.  I've had conversations with most people on this board and those that know me well know how much I love to use sarcasm.  I don't find the comments from anyone in this subject heading to be offensive or demeaning, I just wanted to make people aware that we are doing some things to address the very issue this topic is about.  I think I have a pretty good handle about which comments to take seriously and which ones to take with a grain of salt. Keep the ideas coming and I'll try to keep you posted on some things we are doing.  It is an exciting year coming up and we hope that it is the best in the history of USF Athletics. Go Bulls! Eric P.S. to Reaper The Florida game was before my time here in Tampa. I've only been here for 3 years. But I hope we have that again at some point in time.
