  1. Matt (Bloomtown) and Melissa have always been there to help the USF Athletic program. They regularly donate the flowers for senior days, banquets, special events, and the memorial service this past week. Their shop is located in Largo and they do a great job. Eric
  2. The final is not televised on CSTV but on the Big East Networks, which basically is comprised of local stations in BIG EAST markets that agree to pick up the game. Locally that is Catch 47. As of right now the final is not televised live locally but is on Comcast SportsNet Chicago, CN8 Sports in New England, Fox College Sports Pacific, Cox Sports Television (in LA, FL, TX) and Cox Sports Television. We are trying to get it on live locally if we are in it. Eric
  3. Just a reminder of the Bradley Mosley Memorial tomorrow (Wednesday) at 12 noon in the Corral. Come show Bradley's family that he won't be forgotten. This is open to the general public. Park in lot 6 and enter through entry 1 (student entrance). If you have any other questions don't hesitate to ask. Hope to see a lot of you there. Eric
  4. Moises: That sounds about right. That is why we aren't doing watch parties at the New Tampa location. It seems the Boy Scout Blvd. location has gotten it and is willing to support us. That is also why we switched from Beef O'Brady's on Fowler Ave. to the Clubhouse two years ago, because they were going to relegate us to a back room because of the Florida/Florida State game. We will continue to stick by those that stick by us. That's also why it is important if you can to attend one of the watch parties we put on. It shows these businesses the impact USF Athletics has on the community. Eric
  5. I am sorry to report that this weekends game versus Syracuse will not be televised. We will all have to listen to it on the radio. Sorry! Eric
  6. At one time we did schedule watch parties at LRS in New Tampa. We stopped after several of our fans let us know they turned our game off at halftime for other Florida school games, leaving them without the big screen and sound. We are currently doing watch parties at the LRS on Boy Scout Blvd. In the University area, we are having them at the Clubhouse. Both these places are willing to commit to catering to our fans first. That's all it takes. We are committed to these locations, especially the Clubhouse, because they have been committed to us since the 1-AA days. Eric
  7. As mentioned above, the Men's Soccer semifinal match versus Providence will be televised on CSTV on Friday afternoon. We will be holding a watch party for those that would like to attend (early friday happy hour). As soon as we finalize plans I will post the information. Eric
  8. The men's soccer team wore black arm bands during their BIG EAST Quarterfinal win last night in tribute as well. B-MO's passing made an impact on all of our student-athletes, coach's and staff. Hope to see everyone on Wednesday. Eric
  9. The men's soccer team now knows their quarterfinal opponent for Saturday's BIG EAST Conference tournament match.  WVU beat Rutger 1-0 in double overtime. Tickets for men's soccer are $5 for adults and $3 for children.  All USF students with a valid id get in for free. We would love to see a standing room only crowd for this match.  So after you watch the Bulls beat Rutgers, come see the Bulls beat WVU.  Eric
  10. Off the topic here but Amazing P since you are an Atlanta alum, we are looking to do an Around the Horns event this year in Atlanta. I'd like to come up and talk with some of the alumni up there about it and possible locations. Let me know if you are interested in talking with us. We are working through the alumni association as well to partner with the chapter up there but trying to get a head start. (813) 974-3481 Eric Soncrant Director of Annual Giving USF Bulls Club
  11. As a proud alumnus of CMU, it's nice to see them doing well. I was there when they beat Michigan State and George Perles two out of three years. The coach they have now is in his second year after leading Grand Valley State to a couple Division II National Championships. Their AD is retiring this year so they are about to start a new era in Chippewa Athletics, but this is long overdue. Their biggest victory this year though was getting clearance to keep the Chippewa nickname by the NCAA. As they say in Mt. Pleasant, Fire Up Chips. Eric
  12. Hey everyone: As a member of the athletic department staff, it is my responsibility to encourage you not to bid on this. NCAA policy states that a student athlete signature or image may not be used for profit. The person that is auctioning this item intentionally deceived members of our staff to obtain the item and by putting it on ebay has committed an NCAA violation that we will have to report. Don't be a part of the problem, be a part of the solution. Thanks. Eric
  13. Hello everyone: The USF football game versus Rutgers will be televised on Brighthouse Networks CATCH 47 channel live on Saturdat at 12 noon. You can join other USF Bulls fans at one of the following locations for a Bulls Club/USF Alumni Association watch party: The Clubhouse Sports Cafe on Fowler Ave. in Temple Terrace. Lee Roy Selmons Restaurant on Boy Scout Blvd. in Tampa Midtown Sundries in Downtown St. Petersburg Capogna's Dugout in Clearwater Gecko's in Bradenton Bedrock Cafe in Lakeland. If there are any changes or additions, I'll keep you posted. Thanks so much and Go Bulls! Eric
  14. To endow anything, whether it be a professorship, scholarship, or coaching position, you can assume a 4 percent payout. So for every $100,000 in the endowment, that creats $4,000 in spendable income. Depending on what that position would make, you can then figure out how much is needed to endow that position. Example, if said QB coach is to make $100,000 (nice easy number), and enowment of $2.5 million would be needed. If anyone would be interested in discussing this further, I'll be more than happy to sit down with you. Eric
  15. Just to clear up the issue of other alumni chapters, as of right now the only way to get the ESPN 360 locally will be through an authorized USF IP address.  So that will eliminate utilizing any other venues in the area.  Certainly doesn't affect you if you have ESPN 360 in your area. ESPN is being very helpful in trying to make this happen and our marketing department has been very involved in making this as of now even a possibility.  I'll with hold further comment until official announcement is made.  Go Bulls! Eric
  16. Here's a quick update. We are in the process of putting together drawings and doing feasibility studies. The folks spearheading the process met with all the coaches involved about what they need and would like to see in the facility. Once the drawings are done they will be visible for you to see. With the amount of projects we are talking about it takes a little longer. But believe me when I say they are at the top of the list of our fundraising priorities. Go Bulls! Eric
  17. Not at this time that has been discussed. We've been a little busy the last couple of weeks and been getting ready for the Miami trip this week. We'll have a chance to discuss next week. I will tell you that these are usually not profitable ventures. I'll keep you posted if I hear anything. Eric
  18. As of right now, there is no replay scheduled. We are negotiating with ESPNU to have replay rights released but as of right now there is no replay scheduled. Sorry all! Eric
  19. Jim is only partially correct. There is one in St. Petersburg at Midtown Sundries right downtown. Really nice bar actually with great tv's. The Bradenton watch party is at Gecko's. Other watch parties: Lee Roy Selmons Restaurant on Boy Scout The Clubhouse Sports Cafe on Fowler Ave. Bedrock Cafe in Lakeland. If you have any questions on watch parties, please feel free to contact me. A majority of the people on this board seem to think there is only one watch party that anyone should go to. Eric
  20. Good Morning everyone: Hope everyone is in a good mood today. Information for Miami is as follows. As of last Friday we were around 1800 tickets sold (this included the team comps). Since Saturday, our office has been bombarded with phone calls for Miami tickets. You can purchase tickets for the Miami game in one of two ways: 1) Stop by the SunDome ticket office by 5 p.m. today. We must return what is left of our alotment after that. They are not taking phone orders and we only have third level tickets from what was given to us left. 2) Order your tickets through Miami. A good portion of our fans are sitting in Section K in the lower level. So try and get as close to that as possible. I'm not sure how they handle their sideline seating. Miami has a general admission ticket in the endzone. This tends to be the rowdier crowd so if you purchase tickets there, be careful. From a Miami fan perspective it's a great place to sit, from a visiting fans standpoint, not so much. You'll get a lot of abuse and they typically have a few altercations with the more vocal visiting fans. That's an update from the Bulls Club. If you have any other questions I can assist on, you know where to find me. Go Bulls! Eric
  21. When it's all said and done we should be around 1,400. This is just by what we've sold through us. Eric
  22. Sometimes it's the simplest ideas that are the best. Anthony, stop by the office and we can assist with this so that there won't be an out of pocket expense. Eric
