USF Women Basketball Standout Jessica Dickson Named To Naismith Award Midseason Top 30 List Tampa, FL (February 16, 2006) – University of South Florida women’s basketball standout Jessica Dickson (Ocala, FL) is one of seven players from the BIG EAST Conference named as part of the top 30 mid-season candidates for the Naismith Trophy Women's College Player of the Year. The Naismith Trophy is given annually to the men's and women's college players of the year and is one of the most prestigious national awards in college basketball. Dickson is joined on the list by fellow BIG EAST members Charde Houston, Ann Strother and Barbara Turner of Connecticut, Notre Dame’s Megan Duffy, Rutgers’ Cappie Pondexter and DePaul’s Khara Smith. Currently the nation’s leading scorer, Dickson is averaging 22.7 points per game while helping the Bulls to a 17-9 overall record and a 7-6 slate in the BIG EAST Conference. Her 590 total points this season is a school single season record. In addition, Dickson is grabbing six rebounds per game which is third on the team, and is third in blocked shots with 14. Normally I am one to speak out against bringing a guy in like this with his rep. But I really think if we can reel this guy in it is worth it! This kid is a Gamebreaker when it comes to receivers. Tall, Athletic, Awesome speed. And I would be willing to give this one another chance. Major issue at fsu was lack of playing time and not many plays for him. Those would be solved with us this guy would come in and play right away and if we had a qb in place he will get passes! I know some are gonna disagree with this post, but I gotta feeling that this is one of few you give another chance! Go BULLS!

Mccullum is a keeper quit this talk! When you have no depth and you gotta play these guys alot minutes this is gonna happen players are drained physically tend to make mental mistakes more often! This season is a pass lets keep this chatter off! As much as I applawd the effort by Capko with him in we wont many games especially down the stretch his pace of the game and confidence is really hurting this team!

Now your jumpin to conclusions! I do think Coker should be held accountable! Yea your right werner can go into a household and say he has been around them but what does that do. He can also say how he had all that talent around him and couldn't get them to be a productive offense! I think coker should be held accountableso dont jump to conclusions about what I think. As a USF fan i think alot of people on this board jump to fast when they hear a big program fires coordinators and say lets hire him quickly! When i brought up being a fan of UM I said that because I saw him coach the offense and do nothing with so much talent! So to me we dont need that because we have talent but not yet to UM's talent on offense. I think we need to find a younger coordinator from a smaller DI schoo1 that has had alot of success and give him an opportunity. Unless we can get a good coordinator from a big program that isnt awful like werner!
