"I guess since it's so active in the student section, you don't notice the uniforms too much," said student Lacy Kauck. However, even a freshman is going to notice one thing about the USF uniform. "They're green," Kauck said. Sometimes they're solid green from the jersey to the helmet to the pants "To me I prefer the green pants," said student Ralph Jean. A proposed NCAA regulation will get rid of solid green for the Bulls, and a handful of other schools. "I think it's probably politically based," Jean said. The idea is that a green shirt against a green field might get a little confusing for the spectator, maybe for the players too. It sounds ridiculous to some people, but not some who follow Boise State. Their solid blue uniforms worn at home blend right in with the team's unusually blue turf. It looks a little confusing and some teams have complained about it. The NCAA listened. It's proposing the pants and the jersey be worn in contrasting colors to the field -- which means no more green. "Personally we don't pay too much attention to that. We are focused on our objective," said Jimel Atkins. The team member admits the uniforms represent so much to the team. "You are out there seeing yourself in what you've pictured yourself in for years. It makes it all come together," he said. But if the proposal sticks Atkins is prepared to leave behind the all green get-up this fall. "We are comfortable with whatever they decide. We are just focused on winning and going quietly and peaceful about doing our work. So that's what really matters to us," he said. USF's coach Taggart didn't have any official comment, but joked that all his players need is a t-shirt and shorts to play. The green ban does not seem to be high on the team's list of concerns. 2. Ouch... " The conference's anchors, UConn and Cincinnati, would prefer to join the ACC. The league will add Navy in 2014 and could include Tulsa in the coming months. " @HemUnit: @JFowlerCBS HEY FOWLER, USF IS THAT 3rd ANCHOR. Thanks for leaving us out, AGAIN! @JFowlerCBS: @HemUnit That's a good call. Wasn't intentional. And I think it's fair. Will tweak. Still hasn't "tweaked" it. Lol
  3. I just listened nad no point in time did he mention anything about time slots. He said amount of games, but nothing about time slots. He did say that espn matched because they wanted to keep us away from NBC, not that they wanted us, they just didn't want anyone else to have us. I hope I'm wrong, I hope that espn changes how it's treated the BE for the last year, but I seriously doubt they will. Time will tell. He said they can't just throw games on the Internet...and to match they went to Fox Sports... HELLO, Tuesday night games!!!
  4.     Holy shiz... i am starting to agree more and more with smazza.
  5.     unfortunately, that is the typical type of crapp from Fennelly. his intelligence has never been assumed to be great.
  6.   They were using fax machines all day in Cincy court house yesterday   At work, they removed all of ours about 6 months ago. Now its all scan and email.
  7. honestly... i can't believe we still use fax machines for this stuff. National Signing Day is the only reason anyone uses faxes these day. I'd rather scan it and email it. Just set the email for a 7am delivery in CWT's inbox. then you can sleep in.
  8. I don't think CWT and the staff really want Woulard. They sure haven't been chasing him around. I like it. If the coaches think his skills (or even attitude) doesn't fit the system, let him go somewhere else.
  9. The last coach in kind of inconsequential at this point. Focus has been on recruiting. I would suspect we'll hear the last hire after signing day, next week.
  10. I'd be happy with that hire. Even though the DBs were horrible this year, I wouldn't place the blame soley on Cooper. Yeah, but he's got a lot more recent college coaching experience than Bresnahan. Coached some great secondaries at LSU. Even if he's not a noted recruiter. Right. I totally agree, I was just getting ready for the "OH MY GOD THE BUCS DBS ARE THE WORST IN THE NFL" posts. I don't think we'll see that as much. I think most reasonable people know the Bucs have no players in the secondary (maybe like 2 quality starters when everyone is healthy). His college experience is far more valuable. Although that topic was beat to death the other day in another thread... or maybe it was on one of the 60+ pages in this thread. LOL
  11. Wow, kinda looks like Chris Hovan with a blonde toupee. i just spit coffee all over my desk. thanks!
  12. 98.7 was saying it today on the radio... but i got nuttin to post to back it up. my radio wouldn't fit in this box.
  13. I trust in CWT, but the Bucs gave up more passing yardage than anyone else in the league. due to the lack of depth. not coaching. when you have wright and alib getting in trouble every week, you can't win. i don't blame cooper for the lack of depth.
  14. Yeah your boss would be thrilled that you're staying (in this case Plant), but no one is contending that Plant isn't happy that he is staying. I guarantee that the people who offered you the job you accepted then reneged on wouldn't be as thrilled. If you have any reservations about taking the job, you don't. period. You get lumped into the same boat as Kelly at Oregon.
  15. maybe its different in coaching, but in my line of work (commercial banking), once you say you are leaving a job, you go. if you "unquit" or accept a counter offer you become "marked" because management thinks you are always looking for a better gig.
  16. Ego stroke... and to make up for having a small "Weiner".
  17. we just need to pull up our pants, smile and walk away. its time find someone who wants to be there and stop pizzing and moaning about getting dumped by balding fat guy.
  18. How's that shady? It gave them time to look for another job, while being paid. And they very well may have been aware of what was going on...
  19. @brentsobleski: Chuck Amato wasn't in Akron when staff reconvened today. Rumblings he may be interviewing to become USF defensive coordinator.
  20. is the guy even back from new orleans yet?? doesn't the dead period run through today? yes the dead period ends tonight at midnight.
