  1. My take.... Seems to me like this AD all over again. Not so much in what went down-- but how the coaching staff has villified the player. He's a great kid until he no longer does the head coaches bidding and then all of sudden he is a cancer on the team. And the unseemly payoffs that I wouldn't doubt occur far more frequently than we want to know about suddenly get publicly announced to help Saint Bobby maintain his image. Fulmer is having trouble with more than just BS -- he seems to be in constant spin zone. The odd thing about this though-- is that USF for the most part does not divulge the reasons for a player going elsewhere if it is a private matter. No talk about scandals and the like. Some of the dirt gets picked up by the media-- and fans start rumors -- but for the most part, we run a clean program regardless of what the circumstance. We also work hard to help our guys out, or at least it seems that way to me-- provided they want that advice. So next time you scratch your head wondering why USF brass isn't telling us more about a particular player leaving-- consider the general tone that sets to the whole organization and to that individual. Personally- I think Brian Fisher got beat to death on so many issues that were more or less PRIVATE matters we shouldn't be digging around in. I respect peoples rights to privacy and regardless of the public nature of certain records, I don't see much value to exposing people or putting negative spins on them like what was done with BS or AD and to a certain extent BF. Should we look into BS at USF? Sure-- as long as he understands the expectation levels we have at USF and abides by them. Should we have done the same for AD? Hard to say-- since they are different people who have different influences impacting them (as far as I can tell). PS-- Sorry to drudge up the BF situation - let's not get off on that dead horse tangent.
  2. I've already paid my Bulls Club donation. Do I still get my tickets?
  3. I suppose if he got hit by a bus he would be to blame too. Rome is an major a-hole, with or without this comment. It is regretable that ANYONE should say anything about the act itself being stupid, expecially if they weren't there to see why the fence was jumped in the first place. But more to the point-- what good does it do to pile on a guy who suffers an accidently injury? What is Rome trying to prove other than his skull is full of escriment?
  4. awww-- the nay saying "evil empire" or "dark side" or whatever the hell they want to call themselves can stuff it.
  5. add to that that some of our players in the past have had their ratings go DOWN once they committed to USF. That practice seems to be less of a factor the past two years at least. baby steps
  6. I don't bother reading your exceedingly long posts anymore. One is just like the previous imo. If you have something important to add-- maybe you should try some bullet points. This isn't about defending a coach or a player-- it about having to read the same garbage over and over again. You raise the same points-- as disjointed as they are-- about the same topic in what appears to be knee-jerk to any loss. that's my opinion. Feel free to ignore it.
  7. No-- you're not. While he had his moments, he was not the type of loss we had when JR Reed, Kawika, and others in the past have had on the defensive side. I will agree that he was one of the most important defensive players we had out there that is done. But with as many young guys as we had out there, the experience level won't be as drastic in the secondary. One might say LRS Jr was a big loss but I am not one of them. He had a solid USF career but never really wowed me with his ability. Based on that , it's hard to find anyone who had more tackles or impact on the team.
  8. Thanks for "giving" CRM two more years to prove himself. I really look forward to seeing you post the same **** BS everytime we lose over the course of those two years. Change your name to broken record.
  9. Concur. Seems every year we get some fans who are so excited taht we start out strong (like most 1-A teams) and then the real part of the schedule happens and they get down on the team. You have to look at the situation as a whole-- the team play, the much improved defense, anything you can see as a positive ESPECIALLY when you are transition through a new coaching staff. That is only fair. To have lofty expectations immediately after a new guy comes in and cleans house is a defeatist position.
  10. You may or may not be correct when comparing the two classes. Last years had immediate impact players who broke records-- albeit an all-american Juco player. But the original question was about the ranking itself. While it is not an accurate refelction of how well you fill areas of need, it does show an increase in the type of player our school attracts. Through that stat, one might conclude our progress is still moving forward (regardless of last years so-so record).
  11. There is no curse. I think you are impatient and an alarmist.
  12. not without some 4 star recruits-- which at this point we do not have. Last years were both the Juco guys. hope you a right
  13. What team have YOU been watching? Despite losing, this team is playing much better than last season. Two more years-- well- yeah, he has a 5 year contract. I have confidence that we will be happy with him enough to offer an extension if things continue to improve in overall team play.
  14. Tragic looking pics-- just thought any one who needs one last stab at So Miss might find this interesting.
  15. Not sure I understand. You got them and you want more? You mean the ultra-secret, super-duper, girls gone wild edition? I think I only made the one set for the Bucs/Cardinals game and then a couple of others which were more about me and my brother/his family. Anyway-- wrong forum for this type of non-sense. hrrrummph
  16. I think you may be over reacting to one game. It wasn't that pathetic-- it was a loss, and they all are bad in their own way. I don't recall anyone expecting us to dominate Houston all of sudden. Anyway-- take it in stride. You can't expect to win every game or to always be showing improvement. At the least-- it was entertaining to watch imo.
  17. Could have just been a case where they matched up well against our newer style of play. We looked pretty sloppy-- get a turnover and then turn it right back over to them. we'll see-- still better than last year.
  18. Terry-- Did you get the link to the pics from Phoenix? I heard back from Jessica but not from you. Let me know-- good times
  19. If you ever had to deal with the morons in the parking lot or the other ones who run the ushering service, you would understand completely. They run this very poorly for all events-- regardless of what their goofy manager says. Abolish the TSA-- they are worthless.
  20. Wish him well-- hope we have the depth to absorb the loss.
  21. I think they may have had awards for the first season when we had no games but did have a team. Surprised to see that Sarosi didn't receive anything.
  22. Wow-- good effort. It's hard to give them grief for being in the position to win at the end. Let's just hope it's because we are still learning how to win.
  23. I can't make it tonight. Gene--- take your camera for some good shots buddy
  24. We went from having 9 guys in 2002, to 2 guys in 2003, to no guys in 2004 participating in this game. That's a shame-- I liked going to this event. http://fcsports.collegesports.com/sports/s-grid/content/010505aac.html
