  1. LOL, After reading that I had to check to make sure I was not reading my own post.
  2. While I supported the storming of the field for this game I cannot think of another time that it would be justified until the Miami game in 2009, if even that. This is the biggest win in USF history and I think that an on the field celebration would not have caused the world to stop spinning on its axis. I guess others disagreed about that I just wish some of the security had not disagreed so harshly.
  3. That is true (i.e. Playing Bama at Legends Field) but it seems like having people standing there and not trying to get anything or anywhere contributes to the problem.
  4. However the players were inviting fans onto the field (something we all now know they are unable to do) they were excited that some fans had made it and were waiving for others to do so, it was only after they were unable to make it (mainly from fear) that the players went over to the stands. I would hardly call running to someone that is waiving for you to come to them to be forcing yourself on them and I doubt too many people would.
  5. See we do agree, thank you. I guess it helps that I am a fan of the Steelers and not of the Bucs. P.S. I was not trying to say I was an intellectual superior just not inferior as was being suggested.
  6. Sorry, I am trying to be calm I was just becoming bothered by people assuming that anyone that has a very slightly different opinion must not be informed or well educated. I am calm now I promise.
  7. Perhaps we could just force TSA to pat down every fan at their expense, why should the rules be different for USF. As to the difference NFL players would be put off by fans being near them for whatever reason college athleted seem to enjoy it.
  8. I pray to God that when we are able to build a stadium in the distant future that we do not have a social endzone, I do not see how it contributes to the college atmosphere but that is just a matter of prefrence and not enjoying having to make it through a maze of people just to go to the bathroom.
  9. No we are lucky that we get to pay for a stadium that other people profit from, now shut up before big brother hears you and kicks the community school out of the community stadium.
  10. When did anyone say that it was only the students that were chanting over-rated? I believe people were chanting it across the stadium just as people were cheering the entire game in all sections last night. Why does every discussion on this board now become one of us vs them?
  11. Trust me I am as well informed about this subject as anyone on the board as no one has presented an arguement that I am not educated on. I have even said I think in no way would an on campus stadium be possible at this time but that does not mean that we must accept anything the TSA is willing to hand to us. If you think that it is just that TSA gives our cut of OUR COMMUNITY stadium to the Bucs then I guess we must agree to disagree. But I must say I find the personal attacks by fellow Bulls over a difference of opinion to be disheartening. Last time I checked we all got our education from the same place and I did mine with a fraction of a point under a 4.0.
  12. That is called sarcasm since the taxpayers already paid for this stadium. As to my assumption what is the punishment by the NCAA for a schools fans storming the field? I'll give you a hint it is nothing.
  13. We are not lucky we payed for it, that is not luck that is corporate welfare and if they tried to tell us we were unable to use our community stadium (that they rent to us) I would hope that would end up in court or be settled by legislation.
  14. I think we agree on more things than we are letting on in this discussion and that the truth lies somewhere in the middle. I do not think that we NEED to be able to storm the field, I do not think our stadium is the worst in the nation (see Legends Field and The Orange Bowl) and I do not think an on campus stadium is feasible or a magic cure to our fanbase problem. That being said things are not as peachy as some would like to claim and TSA has no legal right to beat on anyone, we should get some of our game generated revenue and the pirate ship is ugly. Things could be much worse for USF but they could be better.
  15. Or we could just force the tax payers to pay for it as at least we provide some benefit to our community, as to the NCAA policy plenty of schools have other policies such as Clemson as I have already mentioned that even opens the gates for fans to not have to jump. Does the policy cary with it any type of punishment or aid in the enforcement? What's that? No, well than it is a suggestion that may be implemented or not at a schools discretion.
  16. Most games there would be no reason to storm the field (i.e. every other game we have played this year). I cannot believe that the percentage is even that high, all the more reason the field should have been stormed last night.
  17. I am aware of UF's policy on people storming the field, they announce it at the end of every game. However last time I checked we were neither UF nor trying to copy them in every fashion.
  18. And that would be our policy on our field, not some corporate welfare companies decision and I think most everyone would be fine with it. However after other times students have stormed the field Judy has come out and been quoted as being in support of it as she enjoyed the fans' excitement.
  19. They have defended the goal posts before and most fans just stayed away from them and opted to celebrate with our team at midfield. Yesterday they decided not to simply focus on the goalposts and concede the field and I think it led to far more run ins with the law than we have ever had in the past.
  20. I saw the same thing while I was celebrating on the field one TSA thug was just abusing a student that was making no effort to fight or struggle. You guys can say what you want about the law but last time I checked average citizens are not allowed to deal with tresspassing persons with force. If things have changed the next time I kick someone out of one of my parent's stores, my house or my class I am going to break some necks. p.s. I'll even put on a security shirt in order to make sure everything is cool :
  21. I agree, perhaps I am just being idealistic. I just knew that after I left the stadium that was exactly what I was going to hear and did not want to be reminded of it at that moment. Today no one is talking about our huge win over a top ten school they are talking about us exposing a fraud, I just wish at least we felt differently.
  22. I think there were plenty of people cheering and chanting thoughout the stadium, for the first time ever at 3rd Reich stadium, and it was awesome. I agree that noise is a great thing and causes the stadium to be electric and can be a huge advantage (see last night) but that does not mean we cannot do things better in the future. If you think it is better to say the other team is over-rated instead of saying the we were under-rated than that is fine, we simply disagree, and I am glad that you are at least standing and cheering. For at least one day it was cool for everyone to cheer for the Bulls at Ray-Jay and we need to keep that spirit going!
  23. I think I would probably cry or just stay home if there was nothing to do at the game besides watch football; who would want to do that?
