  1. While it maybe (read is) to early to start talking about bowls and bcs it is not that important that fans stay focused and not get ahead of themselves, it is part of being a fan. Some like x/o's others like to be more fanatic, what's the harm? I always wish I would be able to see the glass half full and I am glad there are people in the world that can.
  2. Miami started and ended the wave while the were on offense which was the only reason I let my girlfriend participate, that and she said it was the most exciting part of the game :'(
  3. I guess no one told them that was against NCAA regulations, I will hold my breath for their sanction :
  4. Someone needs to tell him that this is not going to help them get a higher draft pick
  5. Where are the tickets? can I buy them without the bus tickets? How much are they and how do you want to be payed? sorry for all of the questions.
  6. I'm glad to see in the paper this morning that they adopted my policy of letting the trained professionals, that they hire to work the game, handle police business instead of letting security handle it. I guess they do know a thing or two about liability.
  7. What kind of daring escape was going to take place in a fish bowl filled with officers, security, media and cameras? Were the fans going to fashion homemade weapons in order to combat the well armed officers in order to put their lives in danger? What kind of logic would afford someone to take this great of risk for so little reward? At most people were facing fines or community service , not quite worth attacking an officer over.
  8. On liability: TSA should be more than happy to allow the officers working details to engage in their policing, allowing untrained, unskilled labor to engage in police actions is a very quick way to be making a large out of court settlement to a young fan (with the number of officers there it simply does not make any sense to me ???)
  9. While bouncers are able to use reasonable restraint to deal with problem patrons there have been plenty of bouncers tried and convicted of battery for their actions. Reasonable restraint exists on sliding scale based upon the gravity of the situation and I doubt many people would argue (sans members of this board) that simply tresspassing attempting to avoid your attackers would be a grave situation.
  10. Then they could have explained to her that average (I use the term loosely) citizens now have police powers and that you can now defend your property by force. I think I may go panning for gold in the morning or maybe I'll just go to work, we'll see.
  11. They should have warned her to be quiet and then gave her the taser.
  12. Very true there was next to no one left at that game and they still came out in mass (who in their right mind would storm the field after beating UCF?). Less cops at that game but the same amount of TSA.
  13. Tell them that you do not want them on the campus if they are wearing that crap. If they do it again use the taser on them, it is cool you warned them first.
  14. The odds of 4 in a row is 1/16 the odds of the next one following 3 in a row would be 1/2. Next would be 1/32 and 1/2 respectively.
  15. Perhaps we should start cutting people's hands off for stealing, shooting cars with rockets for speeding and cutting out peoples tongues for slander after all people know that these things are not legal and yet they do them anyway. They should be willing to face any punishment no matter how outlandish because they knew that there could be some punishment for their civil disobedience and they chose to do it anyway. To make things even better we will just hire common citizens to cary out justice however they see fit, sounds pretty eutopic to me.
  16. Did I pee in your cornflakes this morning? No, well than I am sorry for whatever I did that made you so angry. You are correct I accidently put Legends instead of Legion, boy do I feel stupid :-[. That typo must ruin all of my arguements, thanks again for your insight. Bye the way I too would like to know how you know that we would adopt TSA security measures if we were ever to build our stadium in the distant future?
  17. I'm glad you tossed in that last part because the law does not permit citizens to administer the law and bottom line is a TSA employee is nothing but a common citizen. As I have pointed out before in the past I have had to ask people to leave my property (both personal and business) but I am not within my legal right to choke slam them if they decide not to listen, that is why we have police and while they may not be perfect at least they have been screened, trained and educated.
  18. Right now? Quite simply because we could not afford it.
  19. That was a nice article, if he just got rid of the commuter school reference it would have been perfect. And yes I know I am being greedy.
  20. There is no way you graduated from the same university as me, either you do not know how to read or you are creating a straw man arguement because what you claim I have typed looks nothing like what I have typed.
  21. Or at least acknowledge that we have already built the stadium that I was talking about :-X
  22. I'm still waiting on what punishment happens to schools that do not follow this policy, now who is the one that is assuming and needs to do research?
  23. That was all I was trying to say, we do not need to be sheep and just well it's their stadium what are we to do. What happened was unacceptable and something needs to be done about it, short of next week building our own stadium out of duct tape, popcicle sticks and a prayer.
