  1. I think the confusion lies in treating the Louisville game as a rule, it appears a USF official gave an indirect okay following the game therefore you would be able to storm the field. That would not mean you would be able to storm the field just because it was our stadium but because we decided you could (see Clemson) but we could just as easily decide that you cannot (see Florida). Or we could be pragmatic and decide that we were not going to let you storm the field but we would not Rodney King you either (perhaps a ticket as you exit?) Yes our stadium would be our rules and not the TSA's but it would be our bill as well. At some point it will be better for us to have our own stadium or at least restructure this deal (see Pittsburgh) but for now I will count on the fact that we have a cost benefit analysis well prepared.
  2. I assume running through the pepper spray, as much as I disagree with people defending property with pure force it does not appear that one could argue that it is not affective.
  3. If you are free to do as you please you do not need to pay attention to signs.
  4. I give you logic, you give me "I am rubber you're glue". Yet I am the one who needs a clue?
  5. 1) PSU had the exact same situation we did except more people went onto the field following their game (note: that guy at every PSU game with the funny mask did not belong on the field) 2) When trying to say people cannot enjoy an "arduous" football game without other factors it's best not to discuss how an OCS would not be pretty enough for you. Life would be lost without a pirate ship. 3) Most everyone knows that we cannot afford a campus stadium and I do not think anyone is seriously arguing that we should have a new stadium so that we can storm the field. That does not mean that Ray Jay is the most ideal situation and that we are lucky to be there.
  6. Pay no attention to the fact that his premise is false.
  7. That is true I have not helped to let it die today, but he started it
  8. Last time I checked this board was privately owned and you are not free to do as you like (see your arguement). Thinking like that is how people get the taser!
  9. Before you mention it I do know the Citrus Bowl is not on campus but it does appear UCF makes the calls when they rent it and not a secondary group i.e. TSA.
  10. For the most part it seems like the arguement I said did exist with a few outliers (fed from early emotion) that you used to frame the entire arguement. P.S. could you not have provided a link in the thread we were using instead of bumping an old thread and praying I would read it?
  11. I believe the arguement was that it would be our choice and since someone in our administration "may" have given the okay in that case it would have been fine for students to storm the field without recorse (see Rutgers, UCF etc. this year)
  12. Once again the strawman has arisen, the only people that have mentioned OCS=field storming have been those trying to frame the arguements of their opponents.

  14. They did start to storm the field and were met with mixed resistance, as you can read about on their board. Students were met with pepper spray while other sections were allowed to flolw onto the field with little to no resistance. If you did some research you would know the pepper spray had more to do with their decision than pride or self restraint.
  15. It started labor day weekend, I bought a case of Iron City to celebrate.
  16. Starting a new topic on the subject seems like a logical start to me.
  17. The Minister of Truth says that we are lucky to play at Ray Jay and get to deal with the TSA.
  18. It is ok but the club area is small and sometimes crowded. The Igloo is much older than the Forum and there is not a seperate level for the Club seats just a seperate section with the club area located in the concorse behind the club seats.
  19. If you sampled any number of their fans I think you would find they did it because they do not know any better, they saw someone else doing and they followed in kind.
  20. I was sitting in section V and there was a guy in the section to the left of me dressed like a ref that kept throwing a fake flag and a whistle noise kept coming from his direction (although I never saw him with one). I'm sure there were several fans blowing whistles as I heard them throughout the game but like you said it hardly mattered.
