  1. That is true I have not helped to let it die today, but he started it
  2. Last time I checked this board was privately owned and you are not free to do as you like (see your arguement). Thinking like that is how people get the taser!
  3. Before you mention it I do know the Citrus Bowl is not on campus but it does appear UCF makes the calls when they rent it and not a secondary group i.e. TSA.
  4. For the most part it seems like the arguement I said did exist with a few outliers (fed from early emotion) that you used to frame the entire arguement. P.S. could you not have provided a link in the thread we were using instead of bumping an old thread and praying I would read it?
  5. I believe the arguement was that it would be our choice and since someone in our administration "may" have given the okay in that case it would have been fine for students to storm the field without recorse (see Rutgers, UCF etc. this year)
  6. Once again the strawman has arisen, the only people that have mentioned OCS=field storming have been those trying to frame the arguements of their opponents.
  7. http://mb8.scout.com/fpennstatefrm1.showMessage?topicID=21964.topic
  8. They did start to storm the field and were met with mixed resistance, as you can read about on their board. Students were met with pepper spray while other sections were allowed to flolw onto the field with little to no resistance. If you did some research you would know the pepper spray had more to do with their decision than pride or self restraint.
  9. It started labor day weekend, I bought a case of Iron City to celebrate.
  10. Starting a new topic on the subject seems like a logical start to me.
  11. The Minister of Truth says that we are lucky to play at Ray Jay and get to deal with the TSA.
  12. It is ok but the club area is small and sometimes crowded. The Igloo is much older than the Forum and there is not a seperate level for the Club seats just a seperate section with the club area located in the concorse behind the club seats.
  13. If you sampled any number of their fans I think you would find they did it because they do not know any better, they saw someone else doing and they followed in kind.
  14. I was sitting in section V and there was a guy in the section to the left of me dressed like a ref that kept throwing a fake flag and a whistle noise kept coming from his direction (although I never saw him with one). I'm sure there were several fans blowing whistles as I heard them throughout the game but like you said it hardly mattered.
  15. While it maybe (read is) to early to start talking about bowls and bcs it is not that important that fans stay focused and not get ahead of themselves, it is part of being a fan. Some like x/o's others like to be more fanatic, what's the harm? I always wish I would be able to see the glass half full and I am glad there are people in the world that can.
  16. Miami started and ended the wave while the were on offense which was the only reason I let my girlfriend participate, that and she said it was the most exciting part of the game :'(
  17. I guess no one told them that was against NCAA regulations, I will hold my breath for their sanction :
  18. Someone needs to tell him that this is not going to help them get a higher draft pick
  19. Where are the tickets? can I buy them without the bus tickets? How much are they and how do you want to be payed? sorry for all of the questions.
  20. I'm glad to see in the paper this morning that they adopted my policy of letting the trained professionals, that they hire to work the game, handle police business instead of letting security handle it. I guess they do know a thing or two about liability.
  21. What kind of daring escape was going to take place in a fish bowl filled with officers, security, media and cameras? Were the fans going to fashion homemade weapons in order to combat the well armed officers in order to put their lives in danger? What kind of logic would afford someone to take this great of risk for so little reward? At most people were facing fines or community service , not quite worth attacking an officer over.
  22. On liability: TSA should be more than happy to allow the officers working details to engage in their policing, allowing untrained, unskilled labor to engage in police actions is a very quick way to be making a large out of court settlement to a young fan (with the number of officers there it simply does not make any sense to me ???)
  23. While bouncers are able to use reasonable restraint to deal with problem patrons there have been plenty of bouncers tried and convicted of battery for their actions. Reasonable restraint exists on sliding scale based upon the gravity of the situation and I doubt many people would argue (sans members of this board) that simply tresspassing attempting to avoid your attackers would be a grave situation.
