  1. I have no doubt that luck played a role in some wins and some losses last season, I’m just confused why only bad luck seems to shine on the team this season. Either it has something to do with what we are doing to not be in position for luck to shine on us or we are just the unluckiest bunch but either way it’s not off to a swimming start for our current crew.
  2. I am imagine perspective would play a role in the answer to this but I’m of the opinion that my posting, much like The Lord of the Flies, devolves with the program. I want to be happy, I want to be positive and I want USF Football to give me any reason to be.
  3. Everyone gets sucked in at some point, which I always find shocking. Ennui is an odd motivator or maybe it’s bravado.
  4. They seem over powered and since they are at this level it makes me assume they must have some skill set which makes me rationalize that they must be athletic. I recognize that there is probably a decent chance that we would fail at running the triple option but when you are completely failing you can’t just keep doing the same thing and hoping for different results. Our fish have already demonstrated that they can’t climb trees and while I may not be positive of what system is the water they can swim in I am positive of what is not.
  5. Not exactly the same thing as he would still be a coach but yes I do agree that my issue is more with who we hire than with the people that get hired, that the only successful coach since CJL left completely pivoted from their career long strategy in order to finally find success probably skews my opinion about how to be successful here.
  6. Our players have demonstrated, particularly at the line level that they are not capable of running a pro style offense. Their performance directly drives me to my conclusion which is the opposite of what college coaches seem to do.
  7. I don’t think we would be the best at running the option I just think that’s where are current skill sets points so it would seem to be the one we would have the best shot at running (yes there is a difference). I think it’s funny that people act like implementing it would be some impossible hurdle to overcome when we currently are working with an unserviceable offense that also isn’t successfully implemented. I’m not sure that I would say that I believe these recruits were successfully recruited and trained to run Strong’s offense or else he would still be here, as a matter of fact the only two things I would rule out trying to run with them are KB’s offense and Weis’s offense.
  8. That’s the thing I don’t get about the hiring of college football coaches, CJS should not have been hired to run his system here any more than an option coach should have been and things typically go better for coaches when they adapt to the situation that they are in more so than when they try to adapt the situation to them and yet teams continue to hire bad fits that hang onto what they have known even when it takes themselves down more often than it lifts up any programs. It’s just a giant wheel of excuses, mistakes and accomplishing nothing until it’s the next guys turn to bring in his system that will fail until his guys get in and he is fired for the next guy that can’t accomplish anything because the guys are once again wrong; it puts the us government and polling to shame in it’s wasted money and institutionalized failure.
  9. That’s fair enough about not implementing triple option for a short stint but I beg the question are we actually building towards something right now that we would be afraid of losing the progress of?
  10. To be honest I know it’s not a popular take but with what we have I would have honestly considered no starting McCloud and running the triple option and if I was too afraid of getting stoned I would probably start McCloud and run pretty close to the Gulf Coast Offense.
  11. You know me well enough to know that I appreciate however that sentence ends. I think that what differentiates me from some other posters that seem to have similar paths is that I appreciate when I am inflammatory or make myself a lighting rod and that I take it in stride never attacking anyone, getting angry or telling on other posters for being mean to me and I even make jokes about it that indicate that I am somewhat self aware.
  12. I am perfectly fine with someone doing better I’m just waiting for the day when it happens and I absolutely felt this way when CWT got here because his original plan was completely horrible and had he continued the Harbaugh path he would have ended up unemployable. I am glad he pivoted and we were all better served for it and it would have been nice to see how that story could have ended. I hope CJS’ saving grace is recruiting but he hardly has been lighting the world on fire and he does not seem to have any great Florida connections. Sure I agree that I don’t need a revolutionary coach for X’s and O’s But there most certainly has been approaches that have worked better here than others, we probably should only hire people that buy into those. I just want CJS to start doing anything that points to a turnaround because so far it seems like and accelerated path to oblivion but with better sound bites and a sunnier disposition.
  13. He should have invested heavily in dentistry as well and really raked it in.
  14. I mean if you give the same response enough times the law of averages says it has to be the best at some point! I’m happy that after a decade all of my dedication finally paid off.
  15. Until CJL has a statue no one should have one
  16. You can impact change immediately in any situation. No one forced him to hire and entire staff of FAU's garbage, no one forced him to bring in the transfer QB's that could not unseat McCloud, no one forces him to run an offense we do not seem to be executing and no one forced him to focus on his previous job when he could have been transitioning to his current one. This team is better than 1 FCS win this season and if we do not get there it has as much to do with CJS as it does with CCS.
  17. I thought I hated them, until I met this crew. I care about one thing and one thing alone results and as this is the worst results we have ever had this is the worst I have ever felt about any group of coaches we have ever had. I think CJS is growing into the position so there is still time to make improvement but his current plan is horrible and has directly contributed to his failures. It is a shame that people are willing to excuse it so easily and seem content to embrace the suck for the length of his contract. It is like my dad always used to tell me, you don't wish for another sergeant because the next one will probably be worse (I shockingly enough decided I probably was not the best fit for the armed services).
  18. Sometimes people develop over their Freshman year, we should try hiring some of those what do you call those things? I have a hard time remembering since we have not had one in over a decade.... Oh ya coaches, I hear sometimes those guys develop players or bring in replacement ones.
  19. In 2018 as a Freshman Ford played in 11 games and rushed for 787 yds with an average of 6.8 yds a carry In 2019 Ford played in 4 games and rushed for 103 yds with an average of 5.4 yds a carry it is not unfathomable that he could have competed with Cronkite's 687 yards last season with an average of 5.1 yds a carry if he was allowed to play.
  20. Ford played in almost no games and was benched the majority of the season of course he didn’t lead the team in rushing in his less than a handful of games. And clearly Wilcox’s less than 30 yds a game is what is holding us back from even sniffing victory, if his yards per game were points per game it could have made a difference.
  21. There should be a happy medium between mush and concrete
  22. I forgot that was the only game we actually threw to a tight end but for the most part the TE position is not utilized by KB and was a non factor also we have Ford this year to be utilized since we have not decided to put him in the dog house, yet. Just think if you get rid of your tickets you can use that money to hire someone to do the floors for you
  23. Most people that have cancer have no idea and are doing just fine
