    Ok.. now that double-elimination has been explained, can someone explain how a round-robin tournament is set up?

    ECU, whom we beat 7-1 yesterday, eliminated #1 seed USM today by blanking them 6-0. Bye-bye, Birdies!

    Yes, 'retire' would be better. Regardless, it will appear to be on his terms and not 'asked to resign' or 'fired'. He's done too much for that program for that.

    No one will buy out JoePa's contract.  He'll 'resign' after being strongly advised to privately.  Either that, or they'll do what they do at F$U, which basically is have strong assistants do the coaching and keep B. Bowden around just to recruit, whittle on top of the scissor lift during practice and pace the sidelines during games.

    USF women are in first place, but UC is only behind by 1 point after the first day of the tournament. The men are in fourth place behind UL, Marquette and DePaul. Go Bulls!

    After listening to his speech at the press conference, I must say that I am impressed with his demeanor and enthusiasm for our athletic program. He definately seems like a 'character' guy who exudes a business-like confidence that fits the job of AD very well. Looking at his resume', I was very impressed with his stress on academics and the overall soundness he leaves the Billikens with. I mean, if Bob Costas says he's the man, what more do you need?
