  1. Except for all the time wasted on the walks, he was a very good dog.
  2. I'm reminded of a dog I had when I was a kid... wonderful dog, a black Lab named 'Skipper.' He'd chase sticks, catch balls and bring them back, never tore up mom's good pillows or bit anyone... really a great dog. One thing though, whenever I took him for a walk.. .that darn dog would stop and lift his leg on every tree, bush, fire hydrant, signpost, and telephone pole we happened to walk by. I really don't know how he did it... just a little trickle each time. I figured that, added up, he must have passed about a gallon, just a dribble at a time. It took almost forever to make it around the block. I hated that.
  3. I expect that this will be his last year here. His salary numbers really go up next year and I don't think he fits the Gruden mold.

  5. He wasn't nearly as juiced, either. I'm for an asterisk next to McGuire and Bonds (if he can get anywhere without the steriods).

  7. I am, too. They tried hard. But given where they were in the polls, it wasn't that they were upset by lesser teams.
  8. If this is the case, then explain the NFL home blackout rule. Putting a game on TV will, more than likely, keep people at home instead of in the stadium and won't necessarily bring in NEW fans to the stadium. Only televise the away games and certain home games. Tease so that they come the stadium to see the game and enjoy the atmosphere and that will hook them.
  9. I was thinking more along the lines of the SID/ESPN Regional giving ABC the footage and information to use as filler.
  10. I thought them dumping the cooler of Powerade on the poor kid was a bit much.
  11. Has anyone seen anything USF-related during the home Stanley Cup games? I know that sometimes they show places of interest in the area during the breaks, but haven't seen anything on USF. I would think that since ESPN does our marketing, we'd at least get a plug in somewhere for the national TV audience.
  12. Will anyone who made the alumni luncheon let us know how it went? Thanks!
  13. Congratulations to Coach Eriksen and the team for a great season!
  14. Terry, Let us know if you need a place to crash until things get straightened out.
  15. This sounds great and all... but I get this picture of a WR whacking his finger with a hammer or an OL dropping a cinder block on his foot. I'm sure they'll do fine and am glad they're doing it, however. Since they gave directions, are they implying that they need more help?
  16. Here is an article on it.. http://www.roanoke.com/sports/vt_basketball/12436.html
  17. Seriously, I think this is probably an example of what people think up during the lull before football gears up. Can you imagine the hit we would take with entrance and exit fees?
  18. I can confirm with certainty that this is indeed a rumor.
  19. Harrison Beck would be an outstanding snag with the amount of attention and offers he is receiving.
  20. Not something to be taken lightly.... they don't call it the 'silent killer' for nothing. http://bulls.tbo.com/bulls/MGBLU6FAQUD.html
